The episode began with Bluey cleaning up the mess on the floor while Bandit instructed her to do it properly. In response to her question about whether she needs to clean up after everything, her father tells Bandit, “If you’re going to do something, do it properly.” Bingo entered the back living room as Bluey was mopping up some orange juice that had spilled. Chilli informed Bingo that it was her old papoose, and Bandit explained that they wore it to take the youngsters to the park instead of remained home. Bluey encourages Bingo to climb into the papoose, which she only fits into. Bluey knows exactly what to play next, and she has a terrific idea: Dad Baby. Chilli warned Bandit that “this isn’t going to end well”. Then Bluey showed Bandit how to be pregnant while caring for Bingo, so he could genuinely act pregnant. Chilli, who is fully aware of what is about to happen, puts down her magazine and wraps it up, knowing exactly what will happen if Bandit plays pregnancy erroneously Jokingly lamenting his feet and back, Bandit claims that Chilli was outraged. He added that he needed to take a seat, was quite hungry, and needed his vitamin E cream. Uneasy Chilli starts pounding Bandit with the magazine, telling him that he has no idea what she has been through throughout her pregnancy. Bandit tells Bluey that if she follows them around the house, she will run out of breath. Bandit and Bluey flee, with Bingo in the papoose. As Bandit started to tidy up the mess, his back started to ache. He begged Bluey to assist, but she kept getting hit in the face with the papoose.
Bluey informed Bandit that they were now eating for two, and asked whether they had made it into the kitchen. possesses Bandit opened the refrigerator after being thrilled with the concept. After perusing the menu, Bandit declares that he wants dim sims. Bingo reaches for all 4 of these dim sims and puts them in the papoose, leaving none for Bandit as he tries to snack on them. Whenever Bandit became irritated that Bingo had taken all of the dim sims, Bluey and Bingo found it amusing. Afterwards, Bluey tells her father that “pregnant people need exercise too” as she walks him into the garden. Bandit complains about how uncomfortable the papoose is and claims he encounters to sit down, but instantly rises as Chilli comes bringing a laundry basket. Bandit replies that it’s quite easy for him when she asks how it’s going, to which Chilli adds, “Oh good. Well, you’ll soon start feeling the baby kicking.” Presently, Bingo chooses to kick her father directly onto his stomach, starting from inside the papoose. Chilli gestures that she recalls when she used to deal with the baby kicking her in the stomach and then exits. So Bandit has had enough and attempts to remove the papoose. However, Bluey interjects, stating that Bandit has not yet delivered the baby and reminding him of his own words, that “if you’re going to do something, do it properly,” however Bandit claims that this counsel does not apply to him. Bingo appears from under the papoose at this same moment, surprising her father and older sister because it appears that he is now expecting a child.

It turns out that there is no midwife around to deliver the baby as Bluey pretends to a friend from a petrol station. Bandit was surprised and got furious about who will deliver the baby as Bingo was ready to come out the papoose. Suddenly, the three Heelers hear Pat singing in his garden. With a look between each other, Bluey and Bandit know what to do for the perfect plan to distract him for whatever he was about to do. Bluey asks if Pat can give them a hand with something to which he obliges, though he doesn’t realize what the something was until it was too late.

Bandit tells Pat to harden up, as he stated that he doesn’t know how to deliver a baby. Bandit thought he grew up in the farm and Pat told him that he only work in the farm just to grow sorghum. Then Lucky, Pats’ son, shouts to his father from his house that the cricket has started. Pat says that hes busy, and to say only if theres a wicket. Pat, after stating this won’t be hard at all, looses Bingo gives Pat a viscous bite as she goes back inside of the papoose and is adamant that she isn’t going anywhere which she ticked bandits fur. Pat puts his hand inside of the papoose after her, and after grabbing a foot, starts to pull. As Bluey asked Pat to pull the baby, Bingo grabbed Bandit’s belly hair. Then Lucky interrupts stating the cricket score, and Pat starts to become distracted until Bandit and Bluey interrupt them and the pulling resumes. Suddenly, the butt is shown and is encouraged to keep pulling as Bingo excitedly wags her tail., though the dim sims are starting to fall out. Then Wendy was watering the plants and got freaked out when Pat said “Morning Wendy”. Bingo is not budging, and is unable to be pulled out any further. Bluey has another idea, as she pushed Pat to let her finish the job saying to Pat that she’ll pull, while he pushes. This has started to work as Bingo is being pushed out further and further. Lucky interupts again, stating that a star cricket player is now out. Pat is really annoyed that he’s missed this as he said “Oh Biscuits”. He tries to flee, but not before Bandit grabs him and says he’s not going anywhere. As the final moments of the delivery arrive, Bandit furiously asks Pat to sing for him. Pat is holding Bandit’s hand and starts singing to him, though Bingo is tickling her father while this happens. At last, Bingo is released, though grabs onto some of Bandit’s hairs as he yells out while screaming of pain “BISCUITS”. As Bingo finally came out, Bluey and Pat chanted Hooray, Bandit gives a much more tired sound, exhausted from the experience.
Later on, as Bandit was happy and relaxed in the swimming pool cradling his newborn child, Bluey says that a name has to be given. Bandit agrees, and decides on naming his child Chilli. Pat, watching aside, states to the three that they don’t muck around. To which both Bandit and Bluey respond, “If you’re going to do something […] do it properly.” Chilli, watching from the top floor balcony cheers to say well done honey she’s beautiful”. Has Bandit told Chilli that it was an interesting experience which he responds that it was easy. Bluey, though, decides that it is her turn, with the camera focusing on a panicked Bandit as the episode ends.
The story about the reason is that it was a good lesson when someone wants to play being pregnant, you can use something to pretend to use it as a baby belly. It explains that if you want to play the game right sometimes you have to do it properly. Although the episode has been screened on TV in Bluey’s native Australia, in the U.K., and elsewhere, Disney — which holds the American TV rights and the global streaming rights for the show — has never broadcast “Dad Baby” or uploaded it to the Disney Plus streaming service. The good news is that the episode has been to be uploaded on YouTube just incase that most of the fans who weren’t able to watch it outside of Australia and the United Kingdom.
