Today I’ll be talking about why I think animation actually counts as another fantastic form of art

First of all, animation has become such a big part of not just in the art community and industry but also in the film industry because animators and filmmakers (for example Disney, Pixar, etc) work put so many details in them and work so hard on them since nothing blows up overnight and everything takes time and they deserve to get paid as much as everyone else.

As someone who grew up watching lots of animated movies/shows/specials in my childhood and teens till currently now in my adulthood, has an artistic eye, and is now kinda an artist since I had and still have an appreciation for that stuff gave me so much inspiration over the years. However, I do have mixed opinions about the whole current live-action and remake thing which I will probably talk about at another time if you want my intake on them or even talk about/rank them let me know in the comments or my socials.

Another thing I love about it is not just the details and creativity but that it takes you to a different place/scenery to explore a world you want to see outside of your world for a while. and gets your mind off of (your reality) for a long time however how long it is. After watching I wondered how they made it and the process so I looked up. I found out that they stretch out their ideas on regular/illustration paper, then draw them out, color, blend, then test them out on the computer, work it on there, show it to other artists/others, and put it together which is pretty amazing if you ask me. I think anyone can do it or be artistic without being born naturally.

After doing all of the illustrations I did for David’s book not sure if you remember my posts/blogs about it which will also be out soon along with my own and everyone else’s who did a book I had to do so many steps and took so much time than I expected to be but I’m glad I took my time since it worked out well in the end. If you want to be a good artist/instructor/animator/filmmaker or whatever you need to practice as many times as you need to, take your time, find your style, and take other’s feedback/criticism. If you don’t you’ll never get the hang of it.

I hope this video helps explain animation and how it works if you are curious and interested

If you enjoyed this and learned something great and important let me know in the comments or in my socials have a great day.

Lego is a Danish company that is known for its interlocking plastic bricks, which can be assembled to create a wide variety of models and structures. The company was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen, a master carpenter, and it initially made wooden toys, stepladders, and ironing boards. In the 1940s, the company began experimenting with plastic toys, and in 1949 they began using an injection-molding machine to mass-produce plastic toys, including the automatic binding bricks that would later become known as Lego bricks.

In 1953, the automatic binding bricks were renamed Lego bricks, and in 1957, the interlocking principle of Lego bricks was born. In 1958, the stud-and-coupling system was patented, which added significant stability to built pieces, and this transformed them into the Lego bricks children use today. In 1964, for the first time, consumers could buy Lego sets, which included all the parts and instructions to build a particular model.

Over the years, Lego has introduced a wide variety of themes, including town, castle, space, pirates, Western, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Figures with movable arms and legs were introduced in 1978, and in 1969, the Duplo series – bigger blocks for smaller hands – was introduced for the 5-and-under set. Lego has sold 75 billion of its bricks in more than 140 countries as of 2018. The company has also spawned two movies and Legoland theme parks, making it an icon in the toy world.

We took a trip to the Lego Store at the Smithhaven Mall on Wednesday because all of their employees had their way of giving to the community through lots of building sets, large and small, and of various themes and franchises. One of the many favorites we saw was the Marvel sets, especially the gigantic Sanctum Sanctorum and the Daily Bugle building. And it’s not just the movie or video game-based sets that interested us. The other set that got the attention of others was the set of the famous painting Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh as well as the set of the famous Roman Coliseum.

We also interviewed one of the employees, Andrew. Andrew has been interested in Lego for practically his entire life of 35 years and more to come. His favorite Lego set ever is 1994’s Pizza to Go; despite its small size of 142 pieces, he likes it because it provides old memories of his youth, and presumably’ pizza is his favorite food.

Andrew’s favorite set Pizza to Go from 1994
Ninjago City set from the Ninjago Ctiy Movie

Andrew’s favorite theme is Ninjago, one of Lego’s most successful franchises of all time as it has spawned multiple sets, a TV show, and even a movie. The largest set Andrew ever built is Ninjago City from the movie, which boasts 4,867 pieces and even has two companion sets Ninjago City Gardens and Ninjago City Docks.

Another highlight of the event was the Lego Friends Edition, which featured detailed apartment sets with different segments of stores, including apartment complexes, providing a fun and interactive way to play with the characters from the cartoon series. Andrew, as a dedicated worker, took his time to explain the history of Lego and provided great insights about different sets.

Even though some of us may not have made a purchase, the event sparked ideas for future purchases at Lego stores or other retailers such as Target, Barnes and Noble, and more. Overall, the event was a great opportunity for attendees to learn more about Lego and explore different sets, and also to learn from Andrew’s insights and experience from the Lake Grove store in New York.

  • Tress MacNeille who played as Daisy Duck deiced to step down after playing for her since Late 1999 during the 2nd Season of Mickey Mouse Works which was a tv show from 1999 to 2001 on ABC for Saturday Morning Cartoons. She made her first appearance for a Disney Film called Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas and tool the role as soon Diane Michelle stepped down and let her take the role of Daisy Duck. She played as Daisy Duck for 2 Decades and worked throughout the Mickey Mouse Series included Disney’s House of Mouse, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Minnie’s Bowtoons, Mickey Mouse Shorts Series, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, Legend of the Three Caballeros, DuckTales, Party Palace Pals (Revival Series of Minnie’s Bowtoons) and the 1st Season of Mickey Mouse Funhouse.

Daisy Duck has been one of the characters in the Mickey Mouse Series who’s been loving charming but can be sassy at times which she can be fun and silly with her own wacky style. As soon as Tress took the role for Daisy Duck, fans has slowly increase having her in the Mickey Mouse Squad, while the merchandise and figures is still needs to be done to gain more popularity. However, Daisy started to become a loveable character during Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and showed viewers can but a positive note about her and make her an icon. She also did more roles after the success of the series even at the Disney Parks

The Storyline is that Debra Wilson would make her first appearance of taking the role of Daisy Duck would be life changing experience for her and hard work of doing many voice roles since the late 90s. Debra Wilson who was Born and raise in Ozone Park, New York and worked in the tv show industry for many years especially the performing arts of work to be superstar. Debra also worked on many tv shows and video game projects to do the voices of many characters. She also worked in live action shows, films, cartoons, video games and so many more. Debra was one of most flexible actress and often takes time to think before she resume the role of the many characters. She was an opened minded person who would express how she feels and willing to talk about life and work in the Hollywood industry.

The Reason why Debra Wilson decides to take over for Daisy Duck because Tress MacNeille decides to step down after the fact that she doesn’t wanna work on Season 2 for Mickey Mouse Funhouse, because she wants to be more focus on other work like the revival series of Futurama on Hulu for 2023, and continue to work for other tv shows. The role of Daisy Duck was a big commitment for her which it would be really sad for loyal Daisy Duck Fans which Tress’ Voice for her in 2 Decades. When Debra did the audience for Daisy Duck she had a couple of setbacks and took 3 tries to take the role for her. After her 3rd try for the audience of Daisy Duck, she jumped up and down because she got the role and she was able to meet the producer of Mickey Mouse Funhouse. The idea was that Disney wants a new actress to take the role for Daisy Duck because they want a new actress to sound like Tress because they’re afraid that they might lose of the audience for future episodes of Mickey Mouse and going forward. Especially they want the Tress MacNeille template so they get the idea of Daisy Duck for the future by having the loving and energetic Daisy Duck. Disney always question about what is Daisy Duck before Tress and onward of the future by being focus on her personality of the character itself. Disney also tried their best to keep Daisy Duck going but it was the lack of success but really have improved the fans as decades go by even when Daisy Duck is Donald Duck’s Girlfriend even during a tv series Quack Pack which only lasted in 1996. There was also the moment when Debra Wilson took the role for Daisy Duck, the producer wants to find a way that Daisy Duck could be entertaining and fun to take the role of her. Debra did a lot of work to catch up and worked the recording sessions doing 5 to 6 episodes in the studios per Fridays, because Disney wants to keep making new episodes and shorts for upcoming events and Disney specials even the sing alongs.

By the time when the future of Daisy Duck goes on, they’ll be more opportunity of Daisy Duck in figures, expanding her position at Disney Parks and special accessions, even though she could possibly be in the Disney Hall of Fame and be on the Hollywood walk of fame one day like Minnie Mouse did in 2018. Generations will live on for Tress MacNeille who worked for Daisy Duck and now it’s Debra Wilson’s turn to take the role of her. She will eventually be good as Tress does for Daisy Duck.

  • The Long Island Field Hockey 4 All Team went for a weekend trip to Orlando for ESPN+ Hockey. This is the first time that Special Olympic Games are hosted for the Florida Event. It was at the ESPN World of Sports Complex which it’s a Sports Park for Special Events. Most Tournaments are focused on Nationwide Teams for different Sports for Youth Teams. Over 200 Teams around the Country and thousands of people participated to play as athletes. Even the parents and fans decided to show up to the Sunshine Show Case Tournament of 2022.

There’s so many sports fields in the park which is the ESPN World Sports of Complex and it has like 31 sports fields. Like Soccer Fields, Baseball Fields and so much more.

The main Tournament was Long Island Field Hockey we got in before 9AM we wore special uniforms and we huddle as a team and were the first Long Island Field Hockey Team to join the Special Olympics Field Hockey Team joined the tournament and 1st annual Olympics tournament. It was also the first time that the special Olympics Field Hockey Team that was hosted because we wanted to show the world that Field Hockey is not just girls Field Hockey but it’s also for people with Development Disabilities.

The Long Island Field Hockey went to the tournament but we end up two teams for ourselves. It was The All Stars in White and the Long Island Field Hockey in Gray. The Girls Team came to help us out and play like we’re having fun. One day the Sport would become a popular sport for the team when it reaches 2028 for the Summer Olympics and the Paralympics.

We get to also be famous from ESPN which the players ourselves get to be interviewed by USA Field Hockey and Long Island Field Hockey

During the bracket of the tournament was The Long Island Field Hockey Team but since the other teams never showed up we decided to make up two teams on our own. The Long Island Field Hockey Girls Team happily came to help and they volunteer with us. It was the Gray Team and White Team. Half of the group went to the Gray Team and the other half went to the White Team. The Long Island Field Hockey Team was the Gray Team and the All Stars were the White Team. All of them each got a volunteer to partner up to help our teams to achieve what they can achieve something. Originally I thought that we would have 200 Teams around the nation with disabilities but it was only 200 teams for the Girls Field Hockey Team, so we created 2 Teams and the team in Gray is the Long Island Field Hockey Team which is me, Michelle, Rebecca and Paul. The White Team is the All Stars which the team has Anthony, Elouise, Gia and Adriana

During the Match, there’s 10 Minutes in 2 half’s of the match. During the first half of the match, I was already got a head start but it was just short not too far from the goal. Then my teammate Michelle scored the first goal and took the lead 1-0. Not for long, Elouise got the first goal for the All Stars which it tied at 1-1. Then the teams did a lot of defensive moves time to time. Paul on the LI Field Hockey did a lot of help with the defence to not let the All Stars take the lead. During the 5 minute warning, I ran into the other side and waited for the goal and Michelle passed the ball to me and I scored the goal to help LI Field Hockey 2-1. Then the All Stars went to take immediate action and scored then second goal to tie it up 2-2. Before Halftime I ran the ball and I was going to score again but they goalie blocked my shot and the defense took the ball from me so I went back to center field and passed it to Rebecca and give it to Michelle and she got herself the 2nd goal which give LIFH to get back the lead 3-2 and it was halftime. Everyone had a water break and then each team huddle up to work on teamwork and continue to have fun while making history.

During the 2nd half of the match, the Long Island field hockey was leading the All Starz 3-2. It was neck to neck for the first few minutes until Michelle got the goal to take the early lead with my quick thinking pass before I got out of bounds and helped the LI Field Hockey Team continued to take the lead 4-2. Then I scored before I put myself in an offside position which I got lucky to allow myself to get that goal when the ball rolled to me and scored. In the meantime, Paul and i did a phenomenal job with the defense and not let the All Stars scored like 5 times. The Defense on the LI Field Hockey was outstanding during the tournament so hopefully we can get ourselves promoted for the 2028 Paralympics. Before the match was done, the LI Field Hockey Team scored 2 more goals which it was credited by the whole team with outstanding creativity of teamwork. Once the Tournament was about to draw to a close, Elouise helped the All Stars got one more goal even though they tried their best to get the goals from the great defense. She got the buzzer beater goal and happily got the All Stars 7-3 but the Long Island Field Hockey won the Tournament which it was a fun tournament. We won 7-3 against the All Starz which it was a fun game to remember while making History for the Special Olympics.

The winner of the tournament was The Long Island Field Hockey Team but it was about a fun tournament which hopefully one day more teams around the USA to increase Special Olympics Field Hockey. I like to remember the score just i can focus on track with the results especially in every Special Olympics Tournament.

Afterwards we took a group picture with girls team who helped us and the team itself. Then I was interviewed by 2 people like Sally from USA Field Hockey and Valeri from Long Island Field Hockey. I talked about that I wanted to explain about Field Hockey which its popular from Europe, Australia and India but Wanted to expand the sport to the United States. It would be interesting if the Special Olympics was a reality besides the Girls Field Hockey. One day this sport will be huge for the 2028 Summer Olympics and the Paralympics. I can grow as a player for myself especially my teammates.

On Wednesday, the Newsmakers completed our very first virtual tour to Disney World in Orlando Florida. We were shown the six parks, which I never heard of before. I was only familiar with a few of them and have visited Magic Kingdom a couple times with my family. As a Disney enthusiast, I would love to visit Blizzard Beach in person because it’s one of the recent water parks to be owned by Disney.

The host of our journey was named Albani. She was very gracious and very helpful in answering all our questions. It was interesting to hear all about the differences between the different parks. We learned about each of them and two of them are waterparks!

The 6 Disney Parks in Disney World:

    • Magic Kindgom
    • Animal Kingdom
    • Epcot
    • Hollywood Studios
    • Blizzard Beach
    • Typhoon Lagoon

A photo from Zoom on our Virtual Tour of Disney World. The photo shows different screen shots from Zoom of different people that attended, including our host for the trip, Albani
Here’s a photo of some of us on the trip with our tour guide Albani

The Magic Kingdom is one of the most popular places in Disney World. It’s where the magic begins! Animal Kingdom is the safari park of Disney World. There are so many animals in this park. You can explore all the animals on a safari through the park. Epcot features countries around the world and explores this through rides. There is so much to do to discover the world and explore about these countries while learning and having fun with friends! Hollywood Studios is all about the rides with cool thrills and you can see memorabilia from different films like Toy Story and Star Wars. Lastly, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are Disney World‘s waterparks.

Part of our Virtual Trips & Experiences collection: Disney World

My favorite disney movie is Cinderella and I wanted to create a meditation about this movie to bring happiness and peace back to your day. So let’s begin:

Get into a relaxed position. Close your eyes, and take a deep breath. I want you to think about a moment that you had in Disney World that made you feel happy and at peace. For me, it was Cinderella”s Castle. As you close your eyes, I want you to breathe in and breathe out.

Imagine you are walking into this beautiful palace. With the beauty of the caste in front of you, the sound of trumpets blowing is heard in the distance. Then, as you hear chirping birds, take another deep breathe in and out.

You then sit down at a table for tea and wonderful treats and sweets. You pick up and enjoy a slice of rich chocolate cake. You suddenly are fulled with joy.

Take another deep breath in and out. Now, you are watching the fireworks. As you hear the crackling of fireworks exploding, a crowd celebrates the evening at Magic Kingdom.

Take one last breath in and out. You know any time that you come back to the Disney World in your mind, you can take a break and feel more relaxed.

Today, my fellow newsmakers and I watched the Disney’s animated movie Zootopia. It follows a new recruit bunny cop, Judy, who teams up with a con artist fox, Nick, to solve the case of a missing otter. Along the way, they uncover a larger conspiracy and harsh truths about the world they live in.

A positive message I learned from the movie is to don’t let stereotypes stop you from being who you truly want to be in life. Although all the officers in the Zootopia Police Department and her parents told Judy she couldn’t be a cop, she ended up proving them wrong and became one of the best cops in the city. The movie explored themes surrounding racism and other forms of bigotry as predators were being cruelly mistreated by prey all over Zootopia. It shows sometimes we shouldn’t judge anyone by opinions or past incidents and tendencies. We should always accept anyone for who they are or otherwise it can lead to dangerous and trauma for others in our community.

Check out the trailer for Disney’s Zootopia below:

    Dr. Grimaldi’s Takeaway:

Most people who are quick to judge do so out of their own fear and insecurities. People usually base their judgments on the limited information they have observed. Judgment can stop someone from reaching their full potential. Each individual has their own choice to make to become their best self. This Disney character portrays that by overcoming judgments and believing in her ability to be who she wants to become. A positive lesson for all of us about having the confidence to persevere through conflict to the other side. Despite society’s discrimination about her species, she was able to use this as a driving force to become a cop and successful in her endeavors.
