The episode begins with a frantic title card flashing across the screen: “Evacuate Earth N̶O̶W̶!̶ After the Show.” We drift into Amy and Kif’s warmly lit dining room. A giant salmon lies on the table like a pink canoe. Kif, wearing a ridiculous sushi-chef outfit, beams with pride. Across from him, three children stare into glowing rectangles: Axl’s phone, Mandy’s tablet, little Newt’s noisy toy. Forks hover untouched. A slow, sad pan reveals every face bathed in cold blue light while the salmon cools. Night falls. In bed, Kif and Amy lie awake, staring at the ceiling, the distance between them measured in unspoken worry. Elsewhere, Dwight Conrad juggles three screens at once, fingers flying like a concert pianist. His parents’ shouts barely register. Hermes attempts a desperate dance in the living room; the stumble down the stairs becomes an instant meme on Dwight’s feeds.

At Planet Express, Professor Farnsworth dives head-first into nested virtual realities just to drag Cubert to bed. In another apartment, Fry whispers his fears about “other people’s kids” to a sleeping Leela. Morning arrives with a sarcastic banner: “Bring Your Crummy Teens to Work Day.” The hangar fills with the soft glow of screens. Parents watch from the catwalk like helpless zoo visitors. Bender preaches about the death of society while secretly playing Pong across his own eyeballs. Farnsworth slams a dramatic red button. A cartoon slash cuts the WiFi symbol in half. The kids’ protests rise like steam. Amy herds them outside into blinding natural sunlight. They squint and shuffle like vampires. In the park, cardboard becomes a makeshift camera frame. A pigeon refuses to pose. Withdrawal sets in. Under a dark bridge, a shady robot opens his chest cavity, revealing a glowing WiFi router. The kids crowd around it like moths. Hours later, we find them in a dark alley, faces inches from screens, eyes vacant.

A sudden cut to Bender alone in a spotlight, sitting backwards on a chair, delivering a mock PSA straight to camera. Behind him, a toll-free number flashes alongside fine print for additional services. Next thing we know, three hospital beds hold Axl, Dwight, and Cubert, IVs dripping, heart monitors beeping. Parents hover. The boys compete to spike their own heart rates for points. Desperation peaks. A new banner appears: “Scared Screenless: Digital Addiction Camp,” featuring Zapp Brannigan striking a heroic pose with a laser rifle. A battered school bus painted army green waits outside. Devices are dumped into a sack. Even Bender is shoved aboard, Pac-Man still scrolling across his eyes.

The bus lifts off. Parents wave. The moment it vanishes, the women pile into Amy’s hovercar for a wild ladies’ night. The men attempt their own celebration in Zoidberg’s dangerously swerving vehicle. The bus lands on Remotus, a lush, untouched forest planet. Zapp hoists the confiscated devices high into a tree with a grappling hook, smirking as they dangle just out of reach. Uniforms are issued. Tents collapse. Axes bounce harmlessly off logs. Cold, congealed stew is ladled into bowls under a darkening sky. Nighttime as Zapp demonstrates fire-starting with flint and steel, fails spectacularly, then retreats to a luxury yurt that unfolds from a single yogurt cup. At dawn, the snipe hunt begins. Sticks beat bushes. Sweat pours. A spork accidentally lodged in Bender’s antenna hole catches sunlight and, miraculously, turns him into a walking hotspot. The kids’ eyes widen. A stealth mission follows: a human totem pole, a collapsible Bender arm, stolen devices reclaimed. Password: “assword1” written on a sticky note on Bender’s shiny metal rear. A genuine, terrifying snipe (exactly as Zapp described) bursts from the undergrowth. Panic. Running. Screaming.

Meanwhile, back in New New York, the ladies are horizontal at O’Zorgnax’s Pub, surrounded by forests of empty shot glasses. The men’s joyride ends nose-first inside a police station. Devices are confiscated again. On Remotus, the fleeing group stumbles into a hidden hippie commune. Pedal-powered spaceship parts rust beside vegetable patches. Inbred children cheer sprouting corn like it’s the Super Bowl. Dreamcatchers double as snipe traps. A rotisserie snipe spins slowly over a fire. The kids casually introduce screens to children who have never seen moving images. Wonder turns to worship. An eclipse darkens the sky. The hippies interpret the disappearing sun as divine punishment for technology. Rainsticks become weapons. Carrots become blow darts. A giant hacky sack is loaded into a cannon. Chaos erupts across two planets at once.

In the jail cell, Fry performs an ancient phone-phreaking whistle into a payphone. A single hard-wired line snakes through subspace to the camp. Kif and Axl finally connect through the most absurd telephone ever assembled: a payphone cable, Zoidberg’s tin-can-and-string toy, and Bender’s disembodied head used as a speaker. The eclipse ends. Sunlight floods back. Devices reboot. The hippies drop their vegetable weapons, mesmerized by dancing pixels. One lone snipe swallows the commune’s leader whole and waddles away. The bus lifts off as the kids board still glued to screens, camp utterly failed.

Back on Earth, the men are released just as the drunken women are locked up in the same cell. Kif frantically texts Axl. A single heart emoji reply floats onto his screen. He clutches the phone to his chest, tears rolling down his green cheeks. Fade out on the family dinner table again. The salmon is gone, replaced by take-out boxes. Every member of the family is once again bathed in device glow, but Kif’s phone now shows a tiny heart notification that wasn’t there before.
