The Match started off with the Brisbane Lions against North Melbourne Kangaroos which it was an incredible journey for the 2023 AFLW Season. The Brisbane Lions Women’s Team has last won the Grand Final since 2021 against Adelaide Football Club and were runners up in 2022 against Melbourne Demons at the very close match with a low scoring affair which they mostly have playoff experience during the 2017 and 2018 season. The Grand Final started off with a scoreless draw throughout most of the 1st Quarter from both defense sides with avoiding the scoring opportunity until Taylah Gatt did a small pass to Jasmine Garner and got the first goal of the match inside the 50 metre circle. The 2nd Quarter started off with Charolette Mullins kicked the ball inside the 50 metre circle which it was dropped by the goal square which no one was able to get it which the Lions got themselves their first goal of the match out of nowhere for Brisbane to get their moment. Afterwards, there was words from the players for pushing while the referee ruled foul on Brisbane which Jasmine Garner from the Kangaroos scored another goal inside the 50 metre circle. The crowd was excited for North Melbourne to take the lead to bring up the energy. In the meantime, Ruby Svarc of the Lions took the ball and passed it to Ally Anderson which she went in circle to pass it to Ellie Hampson on the mark and scored a goal for the Brisbane Lions. When it was halftime, The North Melbourne Kangaroos has took the lead by 2.2 (14) to 2.1 (13)
When the 2nd half the match began, it started off with the Brisbane Lions defending the ball and Caitlin Wendland passed the footy to Orla O’Dwyer and kicked her left foot to give the Brisbane Lions a goal and first time they took the lead. The fans were excited for the lead of the Lions on the other side of the venue. Afterwards, The Lions made tackles with the Kangaroos at every pass when the footy goes around the stadium. Then Jasmine Garner took the footy while no one was able to get and kicked it far up to Katie Shierlaw at the mark and gained the lead back for North Melbourne to score a goal inside the 50 metre circle. The Kangaroos fans went wild after the tremendous goal. It didnt stop North Melbourne to score another goal from Alice O’Loughlin which had some help from her teammates. By the time it reached to the 4th Quarter, Kiara Hillier of the Brisbane Lions managed to stay in bounds and kicked the footy to Dakota Davidson and scored a goal for the Lions to get the margin back. Dakota Davidson has caught the footy momentary and scored the goal again for the Lions and got themselves back in the lead from a 5 points margin with less than 8 minutes left. While Chris Fagan the Coach of the Men’s Team for the Brisbane Lions wanted to watch the Women’s Team because he wanted to see Brisbane for the Women’s Team get a souvenir which it was nice of the Manager to watch the women play in action for the support. With less than 4 minutes left, Mikayla Pauga took the footy and Brisbane wanted to have the ball which North Melbourne was caught for hold inside the goal square but gives Brisbane the free kick to Ellie Hampson. When Ellie Hampson kicked the footy, she scored her 2nd goal for the Lions and extended the lead which it was a thriller for the Lions fans. With the last minute left, both teams kicked the footy outside of the goal zone until Breanna Koenen the Captain of the Brisbane Lions scored the last goal and the whole team was excited to wrapped up the grand final.
The match end with the Queens of the Jungle as the Brisbane Lions are AFLW Champions for the 2nd time since 2021. The match ended with the Brisbane Lions victory of 7.2 (44) to 4.3 (27). The Brisbane Lions has roar the crowd and lifted the trophy for their amazing turnaround of the tournament. The team celebrated with their fans and families after the match was over and had the opportunity to celebrate with their supporters and give young fans autographs. The little kids also did the hand out with the medals to the athletes and thank them for the support.
The GWS Giants had a chance to advance to the AFL Finals Series, which is known as their version of the playoffs. While Round 24 of the 2023 Season served as the regular season finale. With so many other teams vying for the same postseason spots, the Giants had to work extremely hard to perform at their best. If the Giants defeat the Carlton Blues, they will earn the final space to play them in a rematch, however if they fail to do therefore, they could find themselves eliminated. Carlton coach Michael Voss has displayed confidence and bravery in the Blues to have a successful season and return to the top eight on the league. The Great Western Sydney Giants had never given up on themselves and held at least the final ticket to the 2023 AFL Finals Tournament because they had never lost hope in their ability to perform a miracle even the 7 game winning streak. The Giants had made their last journey in the AFL Finals Tournament in 2019, while the Carlton Blues were making their first appearance since 2013. The Giants needed to decide whether or not a victory would benefit the squad as a whole. The match was place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria.
The match began with Josh Kelly of the GWS Giants taking a behind, but Jack Carroll booted the ball into the goal, giving the Blues an early lead. Then Adam Saad booted it to two Carlton players and passed it to Charlie Curnow, who had the ball inside the 50-metre circle, to give Carlton another goal to increase their advantage. Following a brief period of victory, Callan Ward of the Giants booted the ball at the 50-metre line to score a goal for his team. It was short-lived after Charlie Curnow made a stunning catch from a long kick, allowing Carlton to seize control. Three Giants players made several rapid passes, and one of them found Lachlan Keeffe, who assisted the team in scoring another goal. In the meanwhile, Tom Green handed the ball to Jake Riccardi and dropped it, allowing Toby Greene to recover it and score a goal for the GWS Giants. With a behind, Toby Greene was able to narrow the gap to one point, but his effort was temporary since Carlton’s Matthew Owies scored a goal just before the first quarter’s conclude.
As the second quarter got underway, the Giants’ Toby Bedford rescued the ball by the Toyota logo before passing it to Harry Rowston, Lachie Whitfield, and Jesse Hogan, who were able to save it within the 50 yard line and score a goal to put the Giants within striking distance of the lead. Lachlan Keeffe was able to pass the ball to Toby Greene and give the Giants the lead when he was in possession of it. When Callum Brown sent the ball to Ryan Agwin, the latter spun and handed it to Stephen Coniglio, who scored a goal for the Giants to increase their advantage. Finally, Callan Ward booted the ball to Jesse Hogan on the other side of the center square, who then handed it to Toby Greene. Toby Greene, the captain, kicked it inside the 50 metre circle to give the Giants another goal. If they took the lead and increased their margins to get close to St. Kilda, they might have had a chance to play for a playoff spot against the Sydney Swans or another rematch against the Carlton Blues, but only if the game ended in a draw. The Blues didn’t give up and took command of the goals and behinds, with Isaac Cummings of the Giants getting the goal and Stephen Coniglio getting the behind, and it would conclude at halftime with the Giants leading by 5 points, 8.4 (52) to 7.5 (47).
When the third quarter began, the Giants were expecting to stay in the playoffs if they could extend their win or increase the margin of victory, depending on the outcome of the game. It started with the Giants rush behind but figuring out why. Sam Walsh of Carlton scored after more than 5 minutes had passed since the second half began. The Giants then chose to seize control of the ball and refused to surrender or give up their position in order to go to the playoffs. A group of Giants protected the ball before giving it to Tom Green, who then caught it at the corner within 50 yards thanks to Jake Ricarddi. When Jake Ricarrdi took the corner kick, it was a tight strike that gave the Giants a goal and resurrected their chances of winning the game. Brent Daniels ran through the Carlton players and kicked it to Lachie Whitfield, who then passed it to Toby Bedford, who kicked it to Racarrdi, who landed inside the 50 yard circle and scored another goal for the Giants. When Harry Himmelberg kicked it to Daniel Lloyd, the referee called it off the boot from Brodie Kemp, which was unfortunate for Carlton, resulting in a 50-metre kick from Daniel Lloyd. When Lloyd booted the ball, it was straight up in the air as a goal, which the Giants refused to give up. While the GWS Giants players tried their luck at taking advantage of the ball, Stephen Coniglio was about to kick to the goal but ended up behind when the ball went closer to the right. Carlton’s Zac Fisher grabbed the ball and booted it inside the 50-metre circle, scoring a goal for the Blues. It may be too late for Carlton to defeat the formidable Giants, against whom they had a large lead, but they can still put the Giants to finish in seventh and advance to the AFL Finals Series. While Adam Saad handed it to Matthew Owies, he felt it was going to be a goal, but it went short with less than 30 seconds left in the game. During the final 20 seconds of the match, The Blues had players passing the footy to each other until Zac Fisher kicked it out of the centre square and landed it to Harry McKay to Adam Saad, then Matthew Owies, and finally Corey Durdin who took the run and kicked it to hope for a goal before the buzzer, which it hit the post for a behind. It didn’t matter that the Western Bulldogs would not be able to compete in the Finals this year, since the Great Western Sydney Giants triumphed by a 32-point margin of 16.9 (105) to 11.7 (73). The Giants have won their ambitions and will never surrender their place in the AFL Finals. The Giants have earned their dreams and will never surrender their berth in the AFL Finals, which both Carlton and GWS Giants are pleased to make in September, although both teams are content to finish in the lower part of the Top 8 Ladder. The GWS Giants were close to have a home game against St. Kilda Saints which it was the opposite of what they wanted to finished the ladder but managed to play against them in Melbourne. The GWS Giants broke Carlton’s nine-game winning streak, but they are still in with a chance of reaching the AFL Finals Series.
The GWS Giants had played a terrific season with a major turnaround in the second half of the season. When they play against St. Kilda Saints in the Elimination Match which is the first round of the playoffs for the bottom half of the ladder, the Mighty Giants would hope to take a victory to play against either the losing teams of the Qualifying Finalists like Port Adelaide or the Brisbane Lions in the semifinals. The Great Western Sydney Giants can hope to win their first AFL Grand Final as Premiership Champions in order to win all of the Finals Tournament which it’s a big step forward for the Giants to become the best team in the league if they never surrender as a team. The Big Big Sound has prepared an orange splash as the Giants are looking forward to see what the future can hold for upcoming glory years ahead to upon their hopes and aspirations to bring young generations of AFL Fans to be a Giants fan.

One the battle of 3rd Place could be one winner in Round 18 of the 2023 AFL Season to be in the new current ladder while Collingwood is remained the top team of the league just behind Port Adelaide.
The match started with a goal from Alex Neal-Bullen which Melbourne took an early lead. Then Ed Langdon kicked it on the edge of the field to Christian Pentracca and kicked it to advantage the second goal. Pentracca had another goal in the 50 meter kick which they dominated in the first quarter. The Demons took charge and scores another goal from Ben Brown the key forward and took another 50 metre goal kick. The Lions couldn’t be pulled through the defense and had no chance of going front until more than 10 minutes left which Zac Bailey caught the footy on the mark and kicked it at the 50 metre line which give the Lions a goal. The Dees had another way to get a goal with a few passes from Jake Melksham to Ben Brown for a quick mark and quickly give it to Charlie Spargo and kicked it inside the goal square and expanded their lead. The Crowd was pumped that the Demons continued to play their part to stump the Lions. It took Brisbane a while to head themselves on the scoreboard with 2 behinds until Charlie Cameron got the footy inside the 50 metre circle and took the goal for the Lions. In the meantime, Kysaiah Pickett held the ball and then kick a high shot by the post and excitedly made it into which the fans went wild for the time of their lives. Joe Daniher of the Lions held the ball right before the siren sounded to wrap up the 1st Quarter which he was lucky enough to kick the footy up and went for the goal which the Brisbane Lions Fans were delighted to see them get closer but had plenty of time to make the effort. It was a splendid game for a Friday Night of Football.
The 2nd Quarter started with a Melbourne Behind but quickly became a goal from an interception from Conor McKenna of the Lions to Jake Bowey of the Dees who went for a powerful kick to help Melbourne resume their lead. Then Brisbane responded quickly to get more possession which give them help from Will Ashcroft and dodge a long kick to Oscar Mclnerney and ran a few steps to kick the ball near the goal square and the Lions woke the spirit to bring back their lead. Then the Lions each had the ball for a pass and give it to Ashcroft and kicked the footy on the edge of the field but managed to kick it out wide to the goal for a flying shot. When Melbourne was about control the backside of the field, Jaspa Fletcher intercepted the ball and ran all the way to the inside of the 50 metre circle and got a goal for Brisbane. Afterward, Jack Gunston helped the Lions get the lead for the first time of the night by a margin. It didn’t last when the Demons made some passes and give it to Christian Petracca who eventually regain Melbourne back their lead. The Lions had got some passes from Gunston, McKenna, and Mcinerney and handed them to Cameron who took the mark on the edge of the AFL TOYOTA logo outside of the centre square. So eventually, Dayne Zorko kicked it to Joe Daniher who took a long range to Zac Bailey and dive into the goal square which the siren sounded when it was about to go off to Halftime and Bailey took the goal advantage for the Lions. The Lions took the lead 8.3 (51) to 8.4 (52) by a margin.
3rd Quarter Hugh MccLuggage decided to keep the ball so he can hold it after the mark so he waited patiently and pass it to Blake Coleman. He then passed it to Lincoln McCarthy and caught it inside the 50 metre centre and got the goal for the Lions. Tom Sparrow was tackled by Ryan Lester and gives it to Jack Viney which eventually give it to Taj Woewodin and kick on a long range for a goal on the corner of the field which give the Demons a close spot to get back the lead. When the Refree toss the ball up, Lachie Neale ran the ball and gives it to Jack Gunston which got a goal to give the Brisbane Lions the extensive lead. The Lions took charge of the 3rd Quarter and Zac Bailey did a monstrous goal after going pass through the defense of Melbourne. The Brisbane supporters were going insane for continuing their lead. After a quick tackle, Jarryd Lyons kicked the ball inside the 50 metre circle and landed over the goal square which the Lions became powerful of this match. The Lions was on the back side of the field and ran a couple of passes outside the centre square and gives it to Keidean Coleman and kicked it to Jack Gunston and got the ball inside the circle which eventually got the goal for the Lions. After the point that Melbourne was down over 30, they quickly tried to catch up with a good roll and Kysaiah Pickett was able to help the Demons back to scoring opportunities. The Lions were able to find a quick response with a few passes and gives it to Eric Hipwood and kicked the footy in the corner field which he was able to get the goal and the Lions has almost reached to victory lane. Max Gawn of the Demons has flourished in the solo ruck role which he launched a powerful goal up for high elevation accuracy which Melbourne got a massive goal. His style of power performance is like a rainmaker. The Demons almost got their interception but Zac Bailey quickly handed the ball to Charlie Cameron and made a sharp kick to get the goal. There was traffic congestion while getting the footy until Christian Petracca got the ball and kicked all the way.
When the 4th Quarter started, the Demons were down by 20 points margin with the Lions having the lead with 15.7 (97) to 12.5 (77). Melbourne had to find new strategies to get themselves into a victory position. It started with Max Gawn with a behind and then Brisbane took advantage of the footy and key defender Steven May was caught for push and complained to the referee about the contact which allow the Lions to score another goal so Joe Daniher was able to take the goal for Brisbane and roared up the lead. Eventually, Pickett was able to catch the ball but quickly dropped it and rebounded with the run that he kicked it out to the goal and give the Demons hope to get a narrow victory. While both teams each got a behind Jake Melksham of Melbourne caught the ball on the edge of the field before going out of bounds. He eventually made a corner kick and managed to get in the Center which the goal stand for Melbourne to get closer. With more than 2 minutes left on the clock, the referee threw the ball up and heavy traffic of players tried to get the ball and Jack Viney spins out which he snapped off the goal and need one more goal to get the winning moment. The Melbourne fans were excited to see what they could accomplish if they can get the winning opportunity.
At the 2 minute warning, the Lions and Demons resumed the battle of getting the footy while both defenders took charge of it but Melbourne had more offense chances to keep the team going forward. Coach Chris Fagan of the Brisbane Lions was getting worried because the Lions ran out of confidence and kept their momentum going which the opportunity has faded away from the chance of lack of communication between players and the team itself. Coach Simon Goodwin of the Melbourne Demons had faith that the Dees could find some way to get the winning goal because of their power. The Lions and Melbourne has passed each other on interceptions until Deven Robertson kicked it out of bounds to give more pressure on the ball. The next play was a saved from Max Gawn with a clean pass to Angus Brayshaw who kicked a high shot from the left until Jake Melksham took a dive on the mark and the fans roared the energy that Melksham could be the hero. The Dees had a very strong run throughout most of the match including the 4 Quarter. Jake Melksham has kicked it inside the 50 metre circle and just put the Demons up in front by a 1 point margin with 33 seconds left and the Melbourne Fans were hyped up for the win which The Dees had one of the most amazing comebacks of the season. The Homestand went wild and the celebration was like a victory. After the celebration, both teams resumed the play and Melbourne won the ball which Viney did a giant kick 50 yards to Jacob Van Rooyen but let go of the ball while he tried to pass Melksham. The Brisbane Lions had one more chance to score the winning goal or a behind to tie the game. Ryan Lester tried to get the ball and tackle on the field but Christian Salem stopped the play and tackled Brisbane to avoid their winning triumph. In the final 12 seconds of the match, the Lions all teamed up to pass the ball and hoped the long kick would help them get a mark. The Key Defender Jake Lever intercepted the ball inside the 50 metre circle to avoid the kick after the siren which the Lions demanded a review which Melbourne got the ball first and the siren has alarmed that the match is over and the Demons took a victory by a margin. The Melbourne Fans were electrified with the result of the match and it was a great performance. The Demon Players ran into the field and give out hugs and celebrations around and it was one of the most memorable victories of the season and all around brought smiles for their tremendous achievements.
Overall both teams played well but Melbourne was happy with the outcome of their match with a 1 point margin and Jake Melksham was the hero of the Demons. Coach was very pleased that the Demons had been given their courtesy in the final few minutes with the hard work and refused to let the Lions get the chance to take advantage which the buzzer didn’t do enough pass Melbourne for their victory. The Lions would’ve taken a draw or a major comeback of the game which it would’ve been the most thrilling for them. The Dees were able to grabbed the footy before the siren sounded to wrapped the game. Some of the Lions players were furious at the referee that one of them caught it fairly but didn’t review the play which it wasn’t fully saved for a mark.

The match started off with the Melbourne Football Club known as the Demons which had a strong start for their season. While the Ggreat Western Sydney Giants had some great victories in most of the close matches but the results weren’t great throughout the season hopefully after their bye week they can win more games so they can have a chance of going to the AFL 2023 Playoffs if they continue to gain confidence and momentum.
The match was hosted in Northern Territories which fans from Alice Springs rallied through rain and mud, with some travelling hundreds of kilometres to watch the Melbourne Demons and GWS Giants at Traeger Park. The event was about teaching Indigenous Australians how to enjoy a live footy match so they can people professional athletes like them. The match had some heavy downpours along the 3 hours of watching the match in all 4 quarters. It was nice that sometimes the AFL goes on special field Trips around the small grounds at minor league stadiums or academy grounds or they would go around the world to excite the fans how to enjoy the Australian Footy League. The few things that most professional sports leagues don’t get to do during the regular season. For example the American Football League would have some teams go on a field trip to London during the mid season. Other sports leagues would often go to similar venues or special events to show fans around the globe to enjoy the sport.
During the 1st Quarter, the Melbourne Demons and the Great Western Sydney Giants played in a gloomy cold weather in Alice Springs which it was supposed to be nice and warm. When the match started, the Dees had 3 behinds. While Haynes passed it inside the 50 meters circle, there was heavy traffic to grab the footy and Callum Brown has helped the Giants get the first goal and give the Giants a 6-3 early lead for the 3 point margin. Kysaiah Pickett took the ball and kicked it to Jake Melksham and landed it inside the 35. Jake Melksham kicked the ball at the 50 and give Melbourne the lead back 9-6. The rain had suddenly poured hard like the tropics during most of the match which both teams had trouble maintaining the ball and harder to score points on the board. The Demons had 2 more behinds and continued the lead into the 2nd Quarter.
It didn’t last while the Giants Captain Toby Greene kicked the ball near the goal square and landed a good goal. The Demons give another behind to level it up but the Giants tried to defend Joel Smith which was a soft kick out to Jake Bowey and give Melbourne the lead back. With 4 minutes left of the clock, Daniel Loyd held the footy and did a long stretch to the Giants while Melbourne did their defense which it landed straight to Greene got it for perfect accuracy, and got an easy goal for the Giants. During the 10 seconds before halftime, the Demons had other ideas to pass it on the edge of the centre square and Toby Greene intercepted the ball and ran it back to kick the ball inside the 50-meter circle while getting the buzzer beater which ended up as a behind and draw the match with 21-21.
During the 3rd Quarter both Melbourne and Great Western Sydney had each got a behind until Xavier O’Halloran got the goal and give the Giants returned the lead. While Greene kicked it a long range shot in the centre square to Jesse Hogan and Melbourne tackled it and struggled to make a pass which landed to Xavier to Greene and pass through traffic and give to Josh Kelly and took a high kick to give the Giants to extend their winning advantage. The Demons has created more turnovers which makes it difficult for them to maintain their possession. While Kieren Briggs punched the footy into the ground and gives it to Stephen Conilingo to Tom Green to Callum Brown and lastly to Issac Cumming. Isaac held the footy and kicked it inside the 50 metre line and just made it into the goal post which the Giants had 4 Goals in a row in the 3rd Quarter. 2 minutes later, Melbourne finally figured out in the goal zone and Brodie Grundy has helped Melbourne but themselves back on the scoreboard. The footy Launch the kick to Josh Kelly and ran his life to use his left boot to kick a 60 yard goal which it touched the goal square and the GWS Giants has give themselves a winning opportunity with less than 3 minutes left on the clock. Both Demons and Giants had a massive collision battled for the footy which it got more exciting for the fans to hope for the winning goal by the buzzer. The Demons had to find the victory before time expired and Angus Brayshaw dripped over which give Melbourne the opportunity to get the winning goal but Alex Neal-Bullen had the chance to win it but it was far left which Melbourne failed to get the winning shot and had a behind with only a minute left. The Giants has spent the last two minutes defending the Dees while the Demons find one more opportunity to get the winning goal but the Giants intercepted the ball and tackled them halfway through the centre field. The Demons has lost their opportunity to get the winning goal and the Giants has held the game and triumph for the victory 47-45, which it was the lowest scoring match of the season. The Giants have won 4 of the 5 in recent matches and had improved their performance as Adam Kingsley helped the GWS Giants but themselves back to the game.
The Great Western Sydney Giants has improved their batting performance in the 2nd Half of the Season and had some lucky victories against the toughest opponents which most of the results were attributed to close games with both wins and defeats which means the Giants have been able to to maintain their advantage which the results can be seen some ups and downs. However, their dominance has never surrendered and if they continue to get more victories and teams in the bottom ladder of the league, they have a greater chance of being in the Playoffs.
The most important thing is that the GWS Giants never surrender their power and played a tough match with the top 5 teams in the league. The heavy downpours did impact both Melbourne Football Club and Great Western Sydney Giants which had impressive success with the battle of the defense but the Giants were lucky enough to pull off a victory over Melbourne by a 2-point margin.

He was able to finish the first quarter with a late goal after the siren.
The GWS achieved the opening clearance of the second quarter, while Coniglio had the ball in the center square and passed it to Hogan, who then passed it back to Perryman, who scored on a steal goal from Xavier O’Halloran. After that, Tom Papley got another behind, and Logan McDonald scored from long range at the square center to the goal square, which Haynes struggled to dive for a block on. Whitfield quickly pass it to Finn Callaghan and snap the ball to Nick Haynes and launches the footy to center square which wrapped up the Match for the first victory for the Giants of the Battle of the Bridge match since 2021 during the Elimination Round and Round 5 of the regular season.

He was grateful that his teammates exert pressure on him to discover the location of the ball before kicking it off to generate a scoring opportunity. The 2023 AFL Season’s Home Opener was played by the GWS Giants. At Giants Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, the Great Western Sydney Giants opened the AFL Season by playing against the Adelaide Crows. For a Sunday afternoon game, it was extremely hot and muggy, and few spectators showed up to support the Giants. Adam Kingsley was in his first season as the GWS Giants’ head coach. Many of the people that attended the game ended up watching the game in the shade since it was too hot to see in most areas of the stadium without a shaded space because the sun was (38°C) (100°F) in Sydney during the Heatwave. There were over 8,000 fans, and it hasn’t been that empty since all of the restrictions of the Pandemic Season.
The Match started off with the 1st Quarter Matt Flynn took the mark and got himself the first goal of the season for the Giants around the first 2 minutes. Afterwards, the Adelaide Crows slowly got themselves the lead with the help from Taylor Walker who took the sharpest goal after a quick out of bounds paused. The Crows took themselves the lead while an unforgettable mark from Harry Himmelberg and it looks like an early mark of the year contender which was outstandingly incredible. Harry Himmelberg soars his new heights with this breathtaking screamer which everyone went wild over a big save on the mark. Brent Daniels took a good kick to goal but it doesn’t stop the Crows to resume the lead to move on to the 2nd Quarter.

The Crows continued to surrender the Giants for a gap to resume the lead but Toby Greene refused to give up and took actions to save the Giants to but themselves back on the scoreboard with a couple of behinds. Darcy Fogarty had the ball over the 50 meter line and got the goal which the Giants couldn’t find a way to get close to them. The GWS Giants has generated nine of the last 11 inside 50 entries leading into the goal to Toby Greene for a quick turnaround by giving the fans some hope. Afterwards, Ben Keays got himself a goal and moments later, Josh Rachele did the long kick to Ben Keays and passed it to Izak Rankie by stoping the ball to kick it to the goal. The Giants were puffed out and took out their energy to stay in the game which the match ended at Halftime with the Adelaide Crows leading (4.8) 60 – (8.12) 32. Kingsley was not impressed with the way they play and the heat caused them to become more exhausted which the team huddled up to change their style of play.
They started the third quarter by releasing the Orange Tsunami Alarm to help the players wake up and become alert. The Giants seized command and used their competitive side to get back on the scoreboard shortly after the Orange Tsunami took control, beginning with a behind from Jesse Hogan. The Crows’ excellent defense forced them to drop the ball when defender Nick Haynes booted it to Toby Greene, and the players alternated between letting it go and even attempting to hold on. Thanks to Matthew Flynn and Adam Kennedy, Toby Greene was able to roll up the ball and kick it into the goal square, earning 6 points. Outside of the box, Finn Callaghan passed the ball. After Jesse Hogan received the ball from Finn Callaghan outside the center square, the Giants were able to reduce the deficit and take the lead. Then Callan Ward, a midfielder, made the ultimate sacrifice by kicking the ball over the 50-meter line and into the goal. Jesse Hogan then seized the goal to move toward the leading area.After that, Harry Himmelberg scored followed by his brother Elliot Himmelberg, a player for the Adeldale Crows, which thrilled the crowd despite the Giants’ four-goal deficit. The Himmelberg brothers have traded goals for each team, with Harrison scoring the most recent one after an interception in the offensive half. Before the Giants grabbed the lead, Shane McAdam tackled Jacob Wehr, in a risky way, forcing him out of the game. Jack Buckley then pushed McAdam for his conduct, costing the Giants one of their players. In the space of almost the final eight minutes of play, Taylor Walker complained to the referee in the square box about the Giants’ free kick while Adelaide was called for a penalty that should have been a Giants free kick. This cost the Crows a significant turnover. The Giants were able to win their first game at home on opening day despite the extreme heat thanks to a goal from Nick Haynes after a brief dispute with the referee. The Sportsman Engine has demonstrated the ability to never give up, which is precisely what the Giants should do. Everyone was fatigued and exhausted, so the Giants had several water breaks, but it didn’t stop Jesse Hogan from kicking a long range shot to provide the Giants 100 points and stepping up to put them in action of working as a team to lead the Crows by 17. The Crows were too late to catch for the easiness of the outcome, but Luke Pedlar had time to grab the goal down by 11 with just over 2 minutes to go. The Giants kept the ball on the ground, and Brent Daniels scored the last goal beyond the two-minute mark. The Giants won the opening match and home game of the 2023 season by playing all over the field. The discomfort and humidity took their toll on their performance, but it didn’t stop the Giants from pulling off an amazing victory.

Even though everyone was exhausted from playing in the tropical sweltering heat, the GWS Giants never give up, and that’s precisely what they did to survive in Adam Kingsley’s first coaching season with the Giants. The supporters never gave up on the game and were proud to support their team and the overall love of the game. In order to prove that they actually stood up and achieved victory, particularly in the sweltering heat, the players pursue themselves in the struggle to win it like in the Hunger Games.
Adam Kingsley was impressed with their performance, and it undoubtedly succeeded in rousing the crowd by using the Orange Tsunami as a wake-up call. The squad sang in the locker room following their victory and continues to do so whenever they win a game. Toby Greene, who fought to keep going even as the squad struggled to find a way to win, is fully liable for the team’s success. Despite the fact that the Giants performed admirably in the preseason, his insight and bravery helped the club recognize that they should never surrender despite the fact that the searing heatwave grew stronger. The GWS Giants could continue to play well enough to win during the season.

The Sydney Derby which is also known as The Battle of the Bridge. It’s based on a local derby match between the two Sydney based Australian Football League (AFL) clubs. These two teams in Sydney, New South Wales are the Sydney Swans and the Greater Western Sydney Giants. These 2 Teams played each other since 2012. The GWS logo and the orange color texture reminds me of the San Francisco Giants style which it’s a baseball team in the MLB. The Sydney Swans reminds me of Swansea CIty A.F.C which it’s based on a Welsh Soccer Team, but the colors doesn’t match. These two AFL Clubs are 40 minutes away from each other’s Stadium. The Swans play at the Sydney Cricket Ground, while GWS play at Sydney Showground Stadium (Known commercially as GIANTS Stadium during Footy Season.
The Match started of with competitiveness during their 24th Sydney Derby while it started off with Harry Himmelburg at the mark which then kicks it in the Goal Zone by giving the Giants an early lead. Heeney from the Swans got the ball and level it up. After when Toby Green from the Giants scored a Goal, The Giants tied at 13-13. Before the Swans got away with the lead before the 1st Quarter ended, Braden Pruse kicked the ball at the 55 yards to get a phenomenal goal. The Swans were leading the Giants 38-19 to end the 1st Quarter. During the 2nd Quarter, the Swans began to storm the Giants. Errol Gulden kicked it in the circle at the 45 and give the Swans a big lead from the Giants and took the lead the rest of the match until the very end. The Swans finished with 60-23 at Halftime.
When the 3rd Quarter began, The Swans had some key moments like the time Tom Papley got the superstar Goal and the fans were excited to see him get the goal which he was the entertainer of the match. The Swans were leading 66-23. Then Franklin got some excellent goals by staying away from the defense and finds a way to kick it with his right foot. Before the 3rd Quarter comes to a close, Toby Greene finally helped the Giants score a goal since the 2nd Quarter. The Giants finally got some goals with one behind which wrapped up the 3rd Quarter by The Swans leading by 50 points difference 86-36. The Giants hardly got a chance to conclude the end of the field while the Team had lots of interceptions and give the Swans a lot more time with the ball. The Swans had the best final 2 minutes and Nick Blakey got a monster size goal, kicked at the 50. The Swans Fans were happy to see the Team lead over 100. During the final 45 seconds all of the players tackled Errol Gulden and stoped the ball inside the 50 and Errol Gulden kicked the ball to the goal during last few seconds and they won 112-39. The Swans won by 73 margins over the GWS Giants which the Swans were a mighty team with the best defensive side of the match. The Giants had some rough edges and couldn’t figure out how to score by the end of field with the Swans thumped the Giants with a big margin since they first compete against each other in 2012 by 63 margin.
After the Match ended there was the Brett Kirk Medal Everytime during the end of the match during the regular season. This Award was a specialty award which was named after Sydney Swans AFL premiership player Brett Kirk, who was born and raised in New South Wales. The player who gets to earn this Award goes to Luke Parker from his outstanding performance and great teamwork player.
Australian Footy is one of interests of Sports overseas that I never heard of in the US. Australian Footy is much different than American Football because it’s a rounded field and has 3 goal posts but the 2 goal posts on the sides are called behind which means if you kick it on those posts, you only get a point. The Goal Post in the mIddle is the one we’re you can earn 6 points if you kick it in the middle. The Scoring results are much different than American Football which both AFL and NFL both has 4 Quarters but different timings per Quarter. I would often watch it on Fox Sports if I have some energy to stay up late or get up early in the morning. I picked some of teams of the 18 but one of my favorite Aussie Footy Team is the Brisbane Lions. The Town Brisbane reminds me of Bluey which it’s actually based on a kids cartoon show in Australia. The Brisbane Lions is currently one of the best teams in the league so far this season compares with Melbourne, Fremantle Dockers and Carlton. The Brisbane Lions had a great 2021 season finished in 4th but lost against the Western Bulldog’s during the Semifinals. Now the Brisbane Lions wants to focus on continued to be the best team in the league and hopefully win the 2022 Season. Chris Fagan is the Head Coach of the Lions and Greg Swan is the CEO of the Football Club. Dwayne Zorko is the Capitan of the Club. The Club was formerly known as the Brisbane Bears until 1996 and The Lions was taken over after the idea of the Fitzroy Lions Football Club. The Lions wear Maroon, Gold and Blue which represent their colors for the club. Brisbane Lions was going to get a new Stadium at the Brighton Homes Arena coming soon for the Men’s and Women’s Team for Brisbane.
I was early in the US but wrapping up the evening match in Australia. It was the Brisbane Lions vs West Coast Eagles. During the 1st Quarter Charlie kicked the ball and scored a goal the 1st minute. Then Charlie Cameron kicked it to goal. In the meantime, The West Coast Eagles scored goal. Before the Lions wrapped up the 1st Quarter, Hugh McCluggage scored The Lions and took the lead 21-6. During the 2nd Quarter, Dan McStay was injured and have to be subbed off and Thomas Berry subbed in for him. Charlie Cameron got 2 goals in a on the board to the Lions a 34-6 lead. During the 3rd Quarter One of the players who kicked it from the Center Square into Goal Square and Jack Payne scored a goal from long range. Charlie Cameron caught the ball in the 50 yard zone and kicked it in the goal post to give Brisbane 48-6 lead. During the 4th Quarter, the Lions were winning 61-20 and Hugh McCluggage scored his 3 goals in a row for the night. Then Oscar Mclnerney kicked the ball up in the air and landed into the goal square which bounced it for a goal to give the Lions another lead 86-28. Thomas Berry kicked it in the 50 meters yard zone and made it to the goal post. During 30 seconds on the clock, Zac Bailey scored the last goal of the night and the Brisbane Lions won 105-30. The Brisbane Lions won by 75 margins over the West Coast Eagles but the Lions were too strong for undermanned Eagles and broke the record for the biggest win against the Eagles.
The Brisbane Lions won 105 to 30 which The Lions got 16 Goals and 9 Behinds (105) and the Eagles got 4 Goals and 6 Behinds (30). At the end of the Match, the Home Team sings there anthem Every time when finished the game with a Win.
