Australia dominated Canada 4-0 in a match that was held in Melbourne to the delight of a sold-out crowd of 75,000 fans. It was a performance to remember. The Matildas believed to get through to the Round of 16 so they could win the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup as the host nation. Despite the victory over Canada, they also took first place in Group B.
