Surprise! The Bluey Episode about Neurodiversity and the Future of Surprise

Introduction

The episode began with Bingo, Bluey and Chilli in the kitchen as Bluey added the balls into the elaborate ball blaster, Bingo tries to get the stubby coolers on top of the fridge, and Chilli was mopping the floor. Chilli then walked towards Bingo what she wants and Bingo wanted the stubby coolers to play children. Chilli was pleased about the idea, while Bluey wanted to know if she wanted to have children when she’s all grown up. Chilli said “Maybe. Depends if you want them. Then, Bluey wanted to ask Mum to see what is having children like, as Chilli told Bluey that it’s hard to explain, as Bluey wanted to know more about it. Chilli explained more about life having children which it can get lovely and messy at times, the same moment when Bandit was about to refill his glass of water, but quickly realized Bluey was there so he slowly went back to the living room until Bingo approached him. When Bandit got scared for a quick sec to say hi at Bingo, both Bluey and Bingo wanted to ask Dad if they could play with him. Bandit was about to watch to watch the race as the aussie fella was doing well. The kids were disappointed, and Bandit would give it a go for flexibility in the moment of the race, and the kids were happy and go “Hooray!” The next scene, Bandit wanted ask the both of them to see what game they wanted to play, as the both shout out at the same time, Bingo said “Children” and Bluey “Surprise.” Bandit was confused about the idea with the both of them talking at once. The kids resumed the idea while talk over each other explaining their games – but it seems that Bingo is the mum, and Bandit is the dad, and will need to take care of their baby (a stubby cooler with a tennis ball in it). Bluey has put on an elaborate ball blaster, complete with futuristic armor. She’s going to hide around the house, and will jump out and shoot Bandit until he can make it back to base. While Bluey use the elaborate ball blaster to shoot the blocks for an example as it scared Bandit, and both asked Bandit to do their tasks when they finished demonstration of the idea of their game.

Bluey was ready to hide to let him know when she’s ready, but Bingo wanted to show Bandit Copernicus and needs to go to sleep. Bingo suggests that Copernicus needs to be singed by Bandit. Bingo wanted to be as the mom and Bandit gets to play as the father. Bandit then sing “Rockabye Baby” as Bingo has to washed all of the bottles to clean up. Then Bandit checked to see if his player Kurt Ferway in the race. Bluey pops out from underneath the beanbag and starts pelting Bandit with foam balls and yelled “Surprise!” It scared Bandit while being it by Bluey targeting him running away the hallway. Bingo was annoyed that Bandit didn’t do his singing in the hallway until he fell in the play room. Bingo had two more children for Bandit to get care of helping Copernicus to sleep after the journey. Bandit starts to stand up, as Bingo steps back, revealing two more stubby cooler and tennis ball children on the seat of the balance bike.

Bingo wanted to play as Otarya the mom and suggested that to take Jocernicus to sleep and teach Dellerina to ride a bike. Bandit was exhausted to asked Bingo to make life easier, as Bingo meant to call her Otarya. When Bluey was ready to play another round, Bandit thought it would be easier if they play the same game together while Bluey shouted “No!” off screen. Bingo hands Copernicus back to Bandit and asked Bandit to drop Copernicus off to daycare.”Bandit exits the room, carrying two stubby cooler babies in one arm, and pushing the balance bike with the other, while resume singing out to watch the Race on TV. Bandit thought that it would be a good spot for day-care. He checked to see for any nut bags, and he kicked over the beanbag chair. While the coast was clear, Bandit puts Copernicus on the beanbag and tells him “Here you go, mate. Don’t bite anyone.” He was happy to his player to be on the spotlight on tv, Bandit replied “Go, mate!” Bluey rang the doorbell, as Bandit wanted to watch the race, but rang the bell multiple times as he was about to leave the TV Room. Bandit opened the door and checked to see if Bluey was outside, and he was confused if it was a prank that no one was up front. Bluey lurks beside the door, with a mischievous grin on her face, as Bandit was surprised, with her toy gun makes a charging-up noise. Bandit was like “Uh oh!” Cuts back to the entrance, and Bluey yelled “surprise!” as she pelts Bandit with foam balls while he backs away from the entrance, trying to shield his face with his shoulder. Bandit laughs as Bluey shrieks; he continues to retreat. Cut to the play room. Bingo is in the play house while Bluey and Bandit can be heard shouting in the hall. A few foam balls roll in, followed by Bandit who dives onto the rug and landed at his safety zone. Bandit yelled Haha safe!” Bluey was annoyed as Bandit hums mockingly and waves his bum as he moved shake his tail up and down at Bluey. Bingo came back and realized that Bandit forgot to pick up Copernicus. Bandi stopped humming and Bluey went savage mode to get revenge back at him while Bluey pursued him the next moment.

The chase was on and Bandit entered the TV Room, while holding Jocernicus and pushing Dellerina. Bluey pursues him, still blasting him with foam balls and Bandit continued to sing “Rockabye Baby.” She chases him around the back of the couch. Bandit stops at the beanbag and picked up Copernicus as Bluey continues to blast him. Bandit ran into the kitchen, and pelted by foam balls. Bandit was scared at told Bluey “I’m trying to raise kids here!” Bandit then steps in the mop bucket and trips over to the kitchen ground. In slow motion, Bandit, the stubby cooler babies, the scooter, and the mop fly across the frame. As he screamed in (slow motion) “Nooooooooooooooo!”Bandit scooped the stubby cooler babies into his arms and landed with a thump, and things return to normal speed. Bluey, continued to scream in a high-pitched war cry, continues shooting him in the bum as he lies on the floor. As the mop water spreads across the floor and Bluey continues blasting him in the bum, Bandit curls into the fetal position around the stubby cooler babies, while sadly singed “Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.” Bluey ran out of ammunition and lowers her blaster. She stared at her dad for a moment. Chilli finally revealed to Bluey while drinking her tea and explained to her that revealing Chilli sitting at the counter, having a cup of tea, “That’s what having kids is like.”

When it showed a quick moment when the racer already fell down and rights the wheelchair and begins to push as the commentator said “This won’t stop him.” Bandit came back to the play room feeling exhausted and fell down to the rug. While Otarya had another baby, Bandit felt the pressure of caring all of the babies after a long day. Bluey popped into the playroom and wanted to hide again. Bandit was hopping if Bluey can play the same game as Bingo. Bluey was really hoping to play Surprise as Chucky lended her the elaborate ball blaster just for the day. Bandit sighs and let her play for another round as she giggled away. Bingo gives Bandit Finucane and was about to take to sleep. Otarya suggests he needs to be at a Hospital. Bandit realized to what was the issue with him and Otarya showed him that his head wouldn’t fit in properly. Bingo pulled the tennis ball off, then drops it into the stubby cooler. It goes all the way to the bottom. Bandit said “You want me to get a smaller stubby cooler?” Bingo then snatched Finucane away while she was (offended) and replied “No!” Bandit replied “Okay. No worries. Give him here.” He realized that he would have to find place for Finucane to use the Hospital as Bingo exchanges Finucane for the three other stubby coolers. Bandit stood up and ask her if the Hospital can be in the TV Room. Bingo suggests that the Hospital should be underneath the tree.

Under the poinciana tree, Bandit walked up to the tree, cradled Finucane and sets the stubby cooler on the bench under the tree. Bandit gently lied down and replied “I’ll be right here, little mate.” Bandit then closed his eyes to take a quick nap. Bingo asked Bandit to talk to Finucane to be open about himself. Bandit explained to Finucane as he gets his very own bed as he patted him while the ball rolled over to the ground. Bandit hurriedly put back the tennis ball back to the stubby cooler, he quickly apologized that he patted a pit too rough. He then explained to him that there’s something going with his head and his body. Bandit rests his elbow on the bench beside Finucane he explained to him with a heartwarming message as he said “But don’t worry, this won’t hold you back. You know why? You’ve got a whole bunch of brothers and sisters who’ve got your back. “And your mum and I are behind you all the way. ‘Cause we’re a family and you mean the world to us.” While Bandit said the beautiful message, the camera slowly shifted to the right while Bluey was hiding behind the tree and realized the importance of family. Then Bandit what was the kid’s name as Bingo shouted off screen “Finucane!” Bluey, who has been lurking behind the tree, comes out and scared Bandit for a bit, as she announces that she’ll be Finucane’s sister. Bluey tells him that she’ll look after Finucane while Bandit takes the others to daycare. Bandit wanted to make sure if she wanted to resume her game, as Bluey wanted to play with him instead. Bandit ruffles Bluey’s hair, and she giggles, Bandit explained to Finucane “That’s the thing about kids, Finucane. They’re always surprising you.” He pats Finucane, and the tennis ball falls on the grass. Bandit and Bluey glance down at the tennis ball head, then back at each other.

The Australian racer wins the London Marathon Wheelchair Race with a time of 1:29:22. Bandit sat on the Beanbag chair watching, with Copernicus cradled in his arms. Foam balls are scattered around the room. He cheers, raising his free arm as he shouted if you can Bandit’s expression, it looked he said “Yes, come on!” While the music was playing in the background. At the playroom, Bingo is feeding Dellerina with a bottle, and has Jocernicus and a fifth stubby cooler baby put down in a crib. To the poinciana tree, Bluey is excitedly telling Finucane something. She turns and blasts Jeremy the gnome with foam balls. It cuts to an establishing shot of the house.

The shot fades to show the house in the future. The trees in the back yard have grown, and the roofs have been covered in solar panels. Drones carry packages through the sky. Some of the nearby houses have been replaced with apartments. A white car pulls up in front of the house. The doorbell rang and Chilli opened to see who it was outside at 3:30PM. She was surprised to see her daughter Bluey all grownup, and Bluey happily replied “Hi, Mum!” Chilli was happy and replied “Bluey!”They both hugged to the lovely surprise as Bluey return to her childhood house. Chilli shouted “Bandit” while Bluey came to pop by to see what’s new. Chilli was thrilled to see her again after a long time, and asked her to come inside house. When Chilli shouted “BANDIT!” Bandit walks in and he was happy to see Bluey again. The blue heelers hugged and slowly wagged their tails, while Chilli asks Bluey that Bingo is in the backyard. Chilli gestures to Bluey, as they started walking further into the house. Bandit glares at the robot vacuum, while Bluey replied “Oh, the house is looking good.” Chilli replied “Thanks. Can you believe Dad almost sold it?”Chilli and Bluey chuckle. Bandit closed the door and rolls his eyes and starts to walk after them. He replied as he was annoyed “Are you ever gonna let that go?”Bandit starts to walk away. The doorbell rings, and Bandit thought it was someone at the door with the view as Bluey’s car looks like an electric car or a new Toyota Prius. Bandit checked the front and there was no one, as he had a strange feeling, until the sound of a laser rifle charging. A child is waiting just out of sight with a ball blaster and Bandit replied “Oh no.”
