  • I was able to sit down with local music artist ‘victoria said‘ and discuss her solo project, her inspirations, and her upcoming releases. Victoria works as staff with my peers in Autisticana and we all are excited about her music and performances.

Scott: How did you become a singer and songwriter?

Victoria: I’ve been singing ever since I can remember. My parents got me a karaoke machine and I was always singing for my family in the living room. From Taylor Swift, Camp rock, high school musical, early 2000s hits, my house heard it all! I’ve taken guitar, vocal, and piano lessons for years. My twin sister Sasha has always been musical as well, she plays piano and sings. When we were like 12 we came together and did a duet for the first time. Our first cover was “Payphone” by Maroon 5. We posted it to YouTube and it became our thing to play covers and sing together. I also posted my own singing videos as well. I think I began songwriting as early as 12/13. They may have been a little cheesy but it brought me to where I am today.

    Who are your inspirations?

Literally everyone. From people that I’ve grown up watching and listening to from Disney Channel like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, to indie artists across multiple genres that come up on my Spotify, to local artists that gig and do shows around Long Island like me! My dad is into a lot of older music that he has introduced me to as well within the rock and folk genres. I absolutely love going to concerts too! That always inspires me. It makes me go home and write even more.

    What inspires you to songwrite?

I’m inspired by my experiences and my relationships. The good and the bad are all part of life and I like to write beautiful songs that people can relate to.

What does your artist name called ‘victoria said’ mean?

‘victoria said’ is about speaking through my songwriting. I have people asking me “Victoria said what?” All I say is to listen to my music, that’s what I’m trying to say!

Tell me about your Music that you have already released.

I have 2 singles are out currently. In Feb (2023) I released “Through (thank you),” which is a friend breakup song and the first single of my solo project. “hope you don’t sleep good tonight” was my second single and it was released this past April. This one has a striking title but it’s really talking about the intense emotions during a healing process, and that it’s okay to feel angry. “Lovely” is my newest single set to release on August 18. It is so catchy, fun, summery, and the perfect song for feeling nervous and falling in love.

Are there any other new songs or projects in the near future?

I just filmed a music video with my friends and a videographer, Liam, from Brooklyn for “Lovely” and it’s set to release in September! It was such a long day but so cool. I’ve never done a professional music video like that before! It was amazing planning and putting the vision together. All the songs that I’ve been working on since last fall will be part of EP coming very soon. I’ve been workin with Sarah Gross on Long Island- She’s been producing and mixing for me and it’s been an amazing experience.

  • When I usually check dj events on socials, I most of the time checked the songs that interests me. Sometimes it’s like a never ending moment with the most cherished songs that a lot of people would never get tired of when the melody has a good rhythm to the beats. When I hear most of my favourite EDM or Drum n Bass Artists, I would get pumped to see which concert, nightclub or music festival depending on popularity size of where and when they perform the shows. Generally I get excited because it’s the same type of music pitch the raise like I used to hear it on the radio which most Dance Artists in general wanna raise the pitch to make the song sound more appealing to the fans of the audience.

It could be music videos from the special type of video that wasn’t the main official video, or it could be your workout show or it could be your drive to playlist or it could be just for your favourite tunes. Maybe it could your favourite artist that you want to see but you don’t feel comfortable going to large crowds where it’s too cramped or if it’s too late to step up for a late night party that starts by midnight or maybe you don’t wanna to travel too far and fear of going to the city at night.

Most people seemed comfortable going to warehouses at nightclubs but for myself I don’t feel comfortable going to warehouses at night or don’t want to see an artist that late at night because sometimes I wish I want to see them badly which makes me feel sad. I would love to see a EDM or Drum n Bass concert some point in life which hopefully I can see them for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see them for real life.

Sub Focus & Wilkinson – Ready to Fly (The song was at the warehouse which I can they raise the pitch in the Official Video which its rare in Official Music Videos
Kanine with all of the songs high pitch like if some if it would be on the radio
One Hour Live Show with Tsuki at DnB All Stars 360 can be great to workout if you to dance to the fire beats
When Avicii and Nicky Romero had their successful song of 2013 I Could Be the One at some Music Festival
Oliver Heldens played I’m Good by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha at a show
Aleya Mae shows her latest songs and thanked thousands of fans and supporters for listening to her amazing music

Here’s the rest of the song underneath below through all of the platforms of songs and festivals on socials.

This past week, the crew at Autisticana visited Spencer’s at the Smithtown Mall. The store is very interesting because it has shirts and clothing based on popular movies, anime, and musicians. It also has paraphernalia relating to weed, occultism, and magic, sex toys, and candy. They even sell manga and cookbooks. We all took pictures relating to our interests there.

In 1947, Spencer’s started off in Easton, PA, as a mail-order catalog with tons of novelty merch by Max Adler and his brother Harry, the namesake being the former’s middle name Spencer. In 1963, three years after Harry left, Spencer evolved into a brick-and-mortar retail store with its first location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, at the city’s mall. Since then, Spencer has grown to 650 locations in the US, and Canada within malls, especially on Long Island, such as Hicksville Broadway.

In 2001, Spencer’s Gifts launched its e-commerce website, allowing customers to shop for its products online. The website has become important to the company’s sales and marketing strategy.

Today, Spencer’s operates over 600 stores in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, offering a wide range of products, including clothing, accessories, home decor, and novelty items. The company is known for its edgy and irreverent products and is known for catering to a younger, more alternative demographic.

Despite competing with other retailers in the same space, Spencer’s has continued to grow and expand its business. With a focus on innovation, creativity, and customer engagement, the company has stayed relevant and popular with its target audience.

Spencer’s has been a must for the newest trends, tees, body jewelry, home décor and more that celebrate our slogan “life is a party”and we are making it fun. Known for being a pioneer in sexual wellness, call us what you want, but we are here for all communities to celebrate. We are committed to our guests’ uniqueness and their desire for rebellious, buzzworthy products that represent a unique lifestyle while offering an escape from the ordinary.

Spencer’s had opened in 2003 under new management, raising the bar and continuing its untraditional retail journey. The stores have changed, but when they set out on the path of becoming an industry leader in a subtle shift from Spencer Gifts to Spencer’s, this will always be true to the roots of their love for the pride of the effort they put.

They have done a new and better look, but never forgot the history because some of the trends are as old as time. Spencer’s, which continues to lead the market with one of the oldest continually operating stores in North America and nearly 670 locations throughout the United States and Canada, proudly enshrines the brand as cultural staples. Giving back is a key obligation of Spencer’s, and we have been increasing the commitment over the last few years.

Since 2020, the whole partnership with the ACLU has generated nearly a million dollars to help protect civil rights for individuals. Additionally, since 2008 our associates have been fierce advocates, joining in on the battle against cancer by fundraising on behalf of three organizations focused on fighting youth cancer through the non-profit Boobies Make Me Smile. They’ve raised more than 10,5 million dollars to support the Young Survival Consortium, Stupid Cancer and Fxck Cancer that are working on prevention, education and help for young people with cancer and showing the reality of helping young women that could possibly have breast cancer and knowing the facts of the support they need when their going through tough times.

    Everyone takes on Spencer’s:

Scott likes that Spencer’s has cool stuff, especially sex products.

Danielle didn’t care for Spencer’s Costumes

Jackson loved Spencer’s having been at that location and Hicksville’s multiple times. He loved taking the Stepbrothers photo with Scott:

I always find myself confusing because I always wanted to act like myself but had trouble figuring out how to identify myself as a male or a female. I also find it interesting to learn how many changes I went through even though I never changed my sexuality. It did help me become a better version of myself though. I also discovered that there are different categories of LGBTQ+ people which caused me to become very curious. I had always wanted to discover different types of people and see if I myself was in the LGBTQ+ Category.

I always love girls but I had trouble being or acting like them because not every woman is like that or they keep stuff to themselves that they don’t tell men about. Most of the time I like women because I like their sense of fun and bonding. They’re good talkers, caring people, and really helpful with others. I like the fact that everyone gets to be a woman but it could be hard to admit because most might think they are gay. People might have a different side of themselves which is OK because you can be whoever and whatever you want.

I had trouble keeping up with them because I always ended up in the friend zone or I got dumped, rejected or ended up as an acquaintance because I wasn’t good enough or said the words wrong.

At some point I will have to decide ” What do I want to act like: a beautiful woman or a handsome guy?” I like roleplaying while playing dress up because it helps me give the idea of that reality and see my own self reflection for what is my true identity.

(Let the reader think for themselves with these questions)

Why do I like women with different gender identity?

Why do I like guys acting like a woman?

Why do I sometimes imagine myself acting like a pretty woman?

Do I have to understand about genitals?

Why do I like women with different body types?

Why is it so hard to keep my manhood?

Why do I change interest with sex genders?

How should I know the understandings of a man and a woman in general?

What is the point about my sexuality?

Here’s the links if you’re curious about gender identity on the Autism Spectrum

    Dr. Grimaldi’s Takeaway

This is not a new subject at all. People once realized this has been happening for decades but they covered it up due to fear (False Expectations Appearing Real). There is not enough evidence based research on gender identity and autism spectrum disorder. This is why I find this subject so interesting and I am becoming very involved in research of this matter. Why?

Because from my clinical eye and working with tons of kids on the spectrum this has become a big issue for them. I love and respect these kids so much they are so brilliant and talented. That is why this has become a big issue to me.

I find that a lot of the kids I work with are not concerned with gender at all. In my mind, as my own unique individuality and as a professional in the field, I actually think this is a beautiful thing. Why?

Most typical kids I’ve worked with my whole life are so caught up in gender identity and if they have the traits to portray the gender they were not born with and develop a lot of unnecessary stress because of this.

I find it extremely freeing that a lot of kids that I work with on the spectrum do not look at gender and age nor do they look at disability.

What a lesson to be learned for the typical population to release themselves of this burden that causes stress. Most people I work with on the autism spectrum don’t judge others, rather they are judged for being the person they want to be. Call it neuro-divergent wiring, call it cultivating isolation into positive thinking. There is so much we can talk about on this situation

What upsets me the most is that people judge and banter the LGBTQ+ community when more than half of the population consists of neuro-divergent people. For those who don’t know what neuro-divergent means, it means people with minds that function differently from the so called “norm” of the human brain. This makes me think that the “norm” of the human brain should be reconsidered like the food pyramid after 50 years.

It actually infuriates me that ignorance and lack of education on the subject throws our system into fear, aka the public library system shutting down LGBTQ+ education. For if only the public knew that a lot of this is simply neuro-physiology and need to think before they judge. I spend a big portion of my day teaching my Newsmakers how to become critical thinkers. It would be so nice if the rest of the world had that 101 education; if so, we would have less bullying and violence in a society where sexuality and ageism are so prominent. There needs to be more education on the reality of this situation instead of ostracizing kids that are as special as one can be for all of the eye to see.

Results suggest that autism spectrum disorder presents a unique experience to the formation and consolidation of gender identity, and for some autistic individuals, their sexual orientation relates to their gender experience, which could mean a past experience of bullying, violation, or ostracization, which resulted in isolation. As I mention my Newsmakers, your struggle is your story to help others.

It is important that clinicians working with autism spectrum disorder are aware of the gender-diversity in this population so that the necessary support for healthy socio-sexual functioning and mental well-being is provided.

It is more important that parents, teachers, and all other facilitators as well as politicians are educated on this matter. Individuals are getting hurt for being who they want to be. Is this a physiological issue or a psychological issue? Let the reader decide.

Note to self: One thing for sure, and I stand tall on this subject (#StandTallFoundation), is that excluding, covering up, or getting rid of information is making it so much worse for these kids as well as the typical population. The decline in mental health has exponentially manifested after the pandemic. You would think one would want more education to help resolve this ever-growing angry culture that we are now living in. Once again, let the reader decide.

    Blessings,

    Dr. Christine Grimaldi

  • After all these years, I enjoy listening to EDM Songs but when I felt like researching the artists from autobiography, about most of them from UK which the Netherlands were my runners up of DJ’s outside of the US. During the time of a Global Pandemic, I decided to focus on young talents of British Dance DJ’s who started as local DJ’s in their hometown area. I watched them play club music on social media. I never focus on going to Nightclubs in general which I wish I would like to go. I really love to hear nightclubs on social media and videos so I can enjoy the experience and tryout different musics for each club. I became interested of these small artists because of a specific channel of music on Spotify and search, Drum and Bass, UK Garage, and other categories of EDM Songs for current generation.

If I would here any of my music or my favorite songs from the artists if they decide to play it in high pitch at clubs, I would rewatch it over and over and over until I get tired of it. Not just nightlife in the UK, it could happen to nightclubs and concerts in Australia, the Netherlands, USA, Germany and Ireland, Tomorrowland in Belgium and other countries around the Globe. The DJs that I’ve listened to is Tsuki, Aleya Mae, Koven, Aktive, BLVCK CROWZ, Subtronics, Blanke, Excision, Freaks & Geeks, Biscits, Maduk, Modestep, JEANIE, Lee Mvtthews, K Motionz, Wilkinson, Ekko & Sidetrack, Friction and Protostar

  • The Patchogue Singer Christian Guardino was able to make to the top 10 but now have to focus on bigger challenges in order to stay in the competition. Christian has made a huge progress of keeping his hopes up and willing to stay in the competition with all of the love and support. During the Round of Top 10, it was a Special Event based on Disney Night. It started when everyone snag “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encato which they’re all featured by Adassa & Rhenzy Feliz. When it started, Christian Guardino went to Disneyland and saw the guest with his family and get a FaceTime call from Canadian Pop Singer Michael Bublé which it was an amazing surprise. Afterwards he sang The Circles of Life from the Lion King Movie. He sang his heart out with the loudest vocals as much as he did. When it was time to move up to the next round, Christian narrowly made it to the Top 7 Contestants to move on to the next round. I knew he would make to the Round of 7 Singers on American Idol.

    The Circle of Life
Ryan Seacrest surprised Christian to see Michael Bublé

Everyone was excited when he survived this challenge and he’ll keep growing as a person and hopefully be a best singer that he could be. By the time when he made it to the top 7, Christian sang Lonely by Justin Bieber & benny blanco. During the Mother’s Day Special, he sang Dear God by Smokie Norful but unfortunately it was time to say goodbye to Christian Guardino and Jay which they both got eliminated during the Round of 7. Christian won’t be able to go to the Round of 5 but at least he made a lot of memories to experience the whole journey of American Idol. The lesson was that Christian Guardino had a beautiful voice and always warmed peoples heart’s and the joy of positivity has influenced a lot of the fans and the judges. Christian’s Legacy has just started and hopefully he’ll create original songs for himself to make it sound like an Angel.

    Special Song for Mother’s Day

When he was ready to hit the big show at Disney Resorts in Hawaii, he sang Leave the Door Open by Silk Sonic, Bruno Mars and Anderson Pakk. During his moment to shine, he talked to Gabby Barrett to learn about how to keep the song moving while staying focus on key notes. Gabby taught him how to keep the melody smoothly to try not to sound off topic or use the wrong melody because he can already improve his performance. In the meantime, he wanted to sing Stevie Wonder’s For Once in My Life which he had some things in common with good soul and good taste of music. During rehearsal, he sang his song but it wasn’t going anywhere for the big show. He decided to focus on Sam Smith’s Hit Song I’m Not The Only One because it has more progression and real emotions of the harmony. When he sang I’m Not The Only One, he was a natural singer with the harmony for the love of all the people who clapped and cheered for him. Ryan Seacrest told Christian that he is so good at making people and the audience happy. When Ryan talked to Christian about which Judge vote for the song of his choice, but it could one of the judges. Did Luke Bryan choose the song for him and it was not him. So the Judge who chose the song was She was finally able to be on the board for the 3 Judges Vote in this competition. Katy Perry which it was a big shocker. Katy Perry talked to him about the great soul and the gospel which he can rev up into it his voice. From the point when his voice can command in the beginning and fire up at the end which shows that he can continue to move up to the Top 10. Christian at the end thanked Katy Perry for choosing the song and she was able to be the first Judge to be chosen during the Judge’s Vote Contest.

At the end of the Judge’s Vote Competition, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan tied for the most votes and Lionel Richie was down by one which it was a fun competition. During the moment of which person gets to move up to the Top 10 Christian Guardino was the 2nd person who gets to move up to the round of Top 10 Singers. Christian’s hard work dedicates all of his fans and people who watched American Idol. When his moment continues to go on, his outstanding performance would have a greater chance of making it to the Top 5 and hopefully win Season 20 of American Idol.

The Superbowl was hosted in Los Angeles for the 56th in NFL History. It was the Cincinnati Bengals vs Los Angeles Rams. I wanted the Buffalo Bills and the Green Bay Packers to go to the Superbowl which it never happened. It was also the first time that the team gets to host the event with their own stadium since last year from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which they won 31-9 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only that but the Los Angeles Rams gets to host the Conference Championship Game and the Super Bowl

The match started with the Rams playing first which there was also the California Football League for Boys and Girls to create young kids playing football. The woman who hosted the coin toss was Billie Jean King which she advocates for young girls to play sports in USA history. The Rams got to play the game first. The Rams got to take the first touchdown which was credited from Stafford to Odell Beckham Jr. and Matthew Gay took the field goal . It was great, so the Rams took the lead 7-0.

Then the Bengals took the Field Goal before the 2nd Quarter which the Rams took the lead 7-3. During the 2nd Quarter, the two teams were going neck to neck but the Rams got another Touchdown to Kupp. However, the field goal was blocked , so the Bengals got a good chance for another comeback. On the other hand the Bengals got another Touchdown which the bengals scored 13-10.

When the Rays tried to scored the the touchdown at the 2 minute warning, the Bengals got the ball for intercepted the ball. The score was still 10-13 which put the 2 teams in halftime.

Odell Beckham Jr with the catch for the Touchdown

During the Halftime Show it was all of the Hip Hop Stars in Music History. It was Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Mary J Blind, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak and Eminem which it was a sick show “out of nowhere “ like the real life of Los Angeles. It was Old School Legends in the world of Hip Hop.

The show was skyrocketing with the insane backgrounds. The whole crew came for their final part of the show after everyone got their own show.

    The Whole Crew

There was also a lot of funny commercials and upcoming surprises for movies, shows and other heartwarming moments.

During the 2nd of the game , the bengals already got the touchdown and the Bengals took the lead 17-13. The Bengals took the field goal and took the Field Goal and took the lead 20-13. Halfway before the 4th Quarter, the Rams took another field goal and it was much better, still losing 20-16. During the 4th Quarter, it was still neck to neck with changing turns but the game was getting closer which it turns out that the Los Angeles Rams got the ball after 5 minutes on the clock left. other score at 5 minutes on the clock the team thought it could a touchdown but 2 fouls which disallowed the touchdown after a few tries, the Rams got a great pass to get the Tocuhdown and bring back the lead 23-20. The Bengals got the ball for one last time but couldn’t passed the last try after the 4th Down with 90 seconds on the clock but a great defense from Aaron Donald for the Rams.

That’s how the game ended up with Los Angeles Rams taking the win and it was a great moment in Football History.

The Moment when LA got their victory

The winner of the Super Bowl is the Los Angeles Rams by sacrificing the team to step up even though they struggled parts of the game. However, they didn’t give up and showed some confident. This was the 1st time that the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl in History since 2000 when they used to be the St. Louis Rams. The MVP Player of the year was Cooper Kupp.

This years Super Bowl was a rollercoaster ride for this one. There were times that the team did great but struggled at times but never give up on hope. There was also a lot of excitement after the game and social media moments was while after the celebration came to a close. To close out the game, the Los Angeles Rams was the best team in the NFL this season and never give up after slowly falling apart. The team effort was tremendous and above and beyond.

A special interest of mine is Avicii. He was my favorite DJ. He was the biggest DJ in the world and a few years ago, he passed away.

A photo of Avicii, a famous DJ. Avicii is a white man with short blonde hair, blue eyes, and a beard that covers the lower portion of his face. In the photo, he is wearing a white T-shirt and is standing in front of a white brick wall.
    Avicii

During one weekend when I was at Hunter Mountain for an overnight respite with Camp Loyaltown, I happened to check my phone and saw that Avicii passed away in Muscat, Oman. It took me like 10 to 15 minutes to make me realize that the story was real and when I did, it broke my heart. I got really upset and started crying because Avicii was my idol. He was the one that got me into electronic dance music (EDM) in the last 5 years.

A photo of DJ Avicii in the club creating music with the turntables. Avicii is a white man with blonde hair. He is wearing a black plaid shirt and a navy blue baseball cap backwards. He has a silver watch on his left wrist. In this picture, Avicii is turning up the heat. He is playing a black Pioneer turntable in the club.

On Saturday, we went to Woodstock, NY and spent the afternoon around Hunter Mountain. During karaoke night later that evening, I sang “Wake Me Up” by Avicii in rememberance. On Sunday, my twin brother Brett and my friend Rachel found a dead bird and decided to paint a rock orange in its honor. They named the dead bird Avicii. I was grateful to my friends for this because it made me feel better. I truly love EDM music.

During my sophomore year of high school, I used to listen to the radio every morning to help me wake up. Around this time, I grew more interested into EDM music. I started adding in EDM music into my top 40 stations, which also included alternative rock, country, and hip hop music.

A photo of DJ Avicii. Avicii is a white man with blonde hair, a bread, and blue eyes. In this photo, he has a neutral face. He is wearing a gray hoodie and a dark colored baseball cap. In this photo, he is standing in front of a mountain covered in shubbery, trees, and other plants.

The weekend Avicii passed away, I listened to every song of his, even the ones I never heard before. His music has power to make electronic music interesting because it gives me the energy I need to sustain daily energy.

Avicii was born in Stockholm, Sweden on the 8th of September, 1989. As a DJ, he used to tour around overseas hosting concerts for his fans. His first official release was “Fade in Darkness.” But, I didn’t first hear Avicii’s music until “Levels” back in 2011. It was a major success and that’s when Avicii decided to make more successful songs. With his success, he won awards and was nominated for best DJ in the world.

Music video for “Levels” by Avicii

In 2012, he was interviewed with Radio Host Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 which was the world popular pop music station in the United Kingdom. In 2015, Avicii was interview with my favorite radio host Astra on 92.3 AMP Radio on Valentines Day. Avicii’s album True was his most successful studio album, and in my opinion, the greatest album he did. Avicii spent many nights touring around the globe to express his fans what he loved the most. Unfortunately, he had to retire from touring because he was having health concerns and mental health issues because of the lack of rest. And in 2017, Avicii released last unforgettable pop/dance success song “Lonely Together” (featuring Rita Ora). I loved this song because it works perfectly in both formats.

As soon I realize that Avicii was gone, I decided to go through all of his songs even the ones I don’t play, on Spotify. Listening to his music, Avicii has a range of different songs for every moment and all types of dance songs. From less bass to heavy bass, every song has a different storyline. This makes every song good. He always was able to use the right beat to fit the song and the type of music, and they match perfectly.

When “SOS” (featuring Aloe Blacc) came in 2019, the song was dedicated to Avicii for his greatest songs across that decade. That same year, Chris Martin from Coldplay cowrote the song “Heaven”, which was Avicii’s last song. This song was created before his death and was finished by Nicky Romeo, who was able to find the new music on Avicii’s computer.

Avicii’s music continues to live on for generations of EDM fans.
