Hi so today I’ll be talking about how I think writing is another form of therapeutic art expression
Because it has also been another way to be creative but honest and express myself. It also has helped me get out of my emotions whatever I’m feeling so it’s also pretty therapeutic too.
I’m not 100% an extrovert, always wasn’t, and still am not to this day so I sometimes have trouble expressing myself when I’m around people I either don’t know or don’t have much in common with, and have anxiety. So it’s a good thing and I am grateful for it in a way.
I think it has helped me make sense of my thoughts, beliefs, who I am as a person, and what I believe in. So that’s a plus. It also has helped me with my mental health for some reason. If I don’t write anything down and get my feelings out I go crazy.
Now that I’m in the middle of putting out my own book Living In Color and my co-illustrated book We Can Become Friends I have more confidence in my work and I hope everyone feels the same in themselves and their work.

I use exercise and weight lifting to assure that I have good physical health and mental health. By exercising and staying physically fit, I not only improve my physical appearance, I also improve my mental health by releasing my stress. Thank you Cara for sharing how you use art and writing to express yourself.

When I see something that I hate, I watch clips of Star Wars, SpongeBob, BrainPOP, Dragon Ball, One-Punch Man, Family Guy, Beavis and Butt-Head, South Park, Rick and Morty, That ‘70s Show, Regular Show and Drake & Josh and listen to sounds from Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Kirby, Duck Hunt and Angry Birds. I’m kind, friendly, nice, compassionate, wise, smart, neat, organized, creative, responsible and strong. Despite all that, I have a short temper. My hobbies are YouTube, Twitter, watching movies, shows, videos, shorts, specials and clips, playing video games, listening to music, sounds and podcasts and reading comics, graphic novels, mangas, books, picture books, novels, encyclopedias and wikipedias. I talk about my interests.

I express myself by writing notes. I like to use different colored pens. I focused on tasks. I like to go on the computer. I like to search the internet. I take deep breaths.

I can express myself by doing art like painting and coloring. I do meditation and yoga to calm myself down. I love listening to music when I’m at home happy all the time. I also love to watch my favorite shows on tv when I’m upset about something. I like watching my favorite movies when I am feeling angry. I like doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, word searches and word games on my phone when I am not in a good mood.

My favorite way to express myself is through writing. I grew up in a rocky household where I am often ignored, I didn’t have many friends before coming to PTW, and I don’t have people to talk with that I relate to. So one day, I wrote online; I watched movies, cartoons, and video games that I had special interest in, and I had a strong desire to create my story. I had an online blog and fanfiction account where I wrote short stories and What-If scenarios involving characters I selected. I came up with an interesting scenario in my head and wrote it down in text as best as I could. This was before I had proper education when it comes to creative writing, so I was using my talent and improvising in order to get my idea across. As I wrote them, I poured my brain, heart and soul to vent out my bottled feelings and ideas, releasing my knowledge and intellect for the first time in my life.
