Still, the Panthers had yet another successful campaign. They won the Atlantic Division, their third championship in team history, by defeating the Boston Bruins in the last regular season match. Star center Sam Reinhart scored 57 goals (tied with Auston Matthews for the league lead) as they ended 52–24–6 with 110 points. Aleksander Barkov became the team’s all-time leading scorer on March 20 after the team defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5–2. The Panthers fans at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida were enthused before Game 1 even began by Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who pounded the drum to show his appreciation. After getting a feed from Aleksander Barkov, Florida’s Carter Verhaeghe beat Edmonton goalkeeper Stuart Skinner with a wrist shot four minutes into the first game. Two minutes into the second half, Sam Bennett found Evan Rodrigues with a centering ball, doubling the score to 2-0. In order to make room for an extra attacker, Edmonton switched goalies late in the third period, but Eetu Luostarinen’s empty-net goal with five seconds remaining sealed the victory 3–0. Edmonton had 32 shots on goal in the game against Florida’s goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, but Bobrovsky stopped every one of them to record a shutout.

The Florida Panthers were granted the opportunity to try again at home for Game 2 on June 10th, following their thrilling 3-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1. Alonzo Mourning, a former Miami Heats championship player, kicked off the second game by hitting the drum to get the Florida Panthers motivated. After the Edmonton squad failed to score in Game 1, Mattias Ekholm got things going for the team this time. Ekholm launched a counterattack around halfway through the first period, and by sending his shot between Panthers great goalie Sergei Bobrovsky’s knees, he converted a five-hole goal. Florida took the lead again in the second period as Matthew Tkachuk became more involved in front of Edmonton’s net. Tkachuk’s attempt to knot the score at one did not stop the Panthers from playing. Instead, after avoiding a potentially fatal own goal and skating up the other side of the rink, defenseman Niko Mikkola tied the game halfway through. Evan Rodrigues, the show’s headliner, was on full display during the third quarter. The 30-year-old center/winger continued to play well late in Game 2 after scoring in the first game. Just over three minutes into the final frame, Rodrigues’ shot found its way into the top left corner, giving Stuart Skinner little time to react. Two minutes into the second intermission, Florida produced a brilliant defensive set play that allowed Anton Lundell to throw the puck to Rodrigues, completing his brace. And that’s when Ekblad went into the score sheet with 2:30 left. Edmonton was trying to mount a comeback when the 28-year-old Ekblad found the puck in mid-ice and banged it. This left an empty net. The finest game of the Stanley Cup finals was won by the Florida Panthers, 4-1. After every game at a home game in South Florida, the supporters all threw the rats onto the ice. Evan Rodrigues was Florida’s hero in sealing the victory in Game 2 in South Florida. Special thanks to all of the supporters.

The Florida Panthers made history in the Stanley Cup Final by winning two decisive games in their first home games in the best-of-7 series against the Edmonton Oilers. They are now just two victories away from winning the Cup in their thirty-year history. After a lengthy flight to Edmonton, the Florida Panthers boarded a bus to arrive to Rogers Place. Game 3 started off with The Oilers and Panthers had the better defensive teams at the beginning of the contest. After the first 13 minutes, the score is 0-0. Florida had a narrow advantage in shots on goal (8–7) thanks to the successful completion of their two-minute timeouts for interference and delay of game by Aleksander Barkov of Florida and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of Edmonton. After a melee broke out following a save by Sergei Bobrovksy, with the score knotted at four goals apiece, Brett Kulak and Matthew Tkachuk were sent off for unintentional roughing. Sam Reinhart opened the score in the last seconds of the first period by tipping in a pass from Gustav Forsling directly in front of the net, beating Stuart Skinner. Reinhart netted his ninth goal of the playoffs overall, as well as his first goal in the Stanley Cup Final. Withstanding a five-minute onslaught by Edmonton late in the first, Florida eventually took the lead and scored the opening goal of the match. Warren Foegele tied the score 1:49 into the second period on a breakaway. In this series, Edmonton has only managed two goals, the first of which was scored in a five-on-five. In this series, Edmonton has only managed two goals, the first of which was scored in a five-on-five. Vladimir Tarasenko scored a close-range goal at 9:12 of the second period to give Florida a 2-1 lead. The goal caught Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner off guard as he tried to play the ball. In each of the Panthers’ four series, Tarasenko scored his fourth goal of the playoffs, even though Eetu Luostarinen received the primary assist. The Panthers took the lead after a Darnell Nurse turnover, and Florida took a 3-1 lead with 6:03 left in the second period when Sam Bennett scored off a feed from Matthew Tkachuk. Aleksander Barkov’s close-range snap shot with 4:29 left in the second period scored the Panthers their third goal of the match, bringing Florida’s lead to 4-1. For Barkov, it was his second point of the evening. Florida’s advantage over the Oilers was two goals. At 6:02 of the third round, a shot by Philip Broberg beat Sergei Bobrovsky after bouncing off Florida defenseman Niko Mikkola. There is still 4-2 lead for Florida with 13:58 left in the game. The Oilers’ Brett Kulak’s point-blank shot went past Sergei Bobrovsky after deflecting off Ryan McLeod in front of the net, making the score 4-3. At Rogers Place in Edmonton on Thursday, Florida grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead in the series after holding off a late comeback by Edmonton to win Game 3 4-3. Sam Reinhart and Aleksander Barkov both contributed an assist in addition to scoring goals. In addition, goals were scored by Sam Bennett and Vladimir Tarasenko. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 32 of the 35 shots he faced. In their thirty-year history, the Florida Panthers had just one chance to get a single step closer to winning a Stanley Cup.

The Panthers collapse and the Oilers’ rebound from Game 4 to Game 6.
The Florida Panthers had one game remaining to win the Stanley Cup and perhaps even sweep the Oilers when they resumed their road game in Edmonton for Game 4. Following their probable celebration that involved family members traveling almost 2,500 miles, the Panthers let out their frustration in a couple post-whistle scrums. With ten minutes remaining in the first period, the Oilers took the lead 2-0, but the Panthers’ first goal came from a forward named Vladimir Tarasenko, who deflected a shot from a defenseman named Gustav Forsling. Following that, the Panthers lost 8-1 as a result of their inability to hold out and a major meltdown that allowed the Oilers to score more goals. The Florida Panthers returned to South Florida for Game 5 at Amerant Bank Arena. To win the Stanley Cup in front of their home crowd is the team’s unwavering goal. In case they could overcome the Edmonton Oilers on a Tuesday night, the Panthers remained in contention to win the Stanley Cup. Prominent golfer Jack Nicklaus pounded a drum to start the crowd chanting “Let’s Go Panthers” before the game began. Connor Brown gave the Oilers the lead in the first period of game five, beating goalie Sergei Bobrovsky with a backhand shot that was scored on shorthanded. The Oilers led by two goals in the second period thanks to a goal by Zach Hyman on a power play. Three minutes later, Oilers forward Warren Foegele beat Bobrovsky with a wrist shot to give the team a 3-0 lead. Foegele had previously passed to captain Connor McDavid. The Panthers scored their first goal 3-1 less than two minutes later when forward Evan Rodrigues found Matthew Tkachuk, who cut the lead to two goals. Rodrigues’s slashing penalty gave the Oilers a three-goal advantage. Following McDavid’s feed, Corey Perry scored his first goal in the playoffs. The Panthers’ lead was reduced to two goals just fourteen seconds later when Brandon Montour passed to Rodrigues, who scored to make it 4-2. The crowd was ecstatic at the comeback, which might be the turning point. The score was 4-3 when Florida defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a goal with the puck in the third period to beat Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner. In the last three minutes, the Panthers had a fantastic chance to tie the game, but Oilers goalie Skinner made some spectacular saves. The Panthers refused to give up and took advantage of the empty net to keep playing offensively and get shots on goal. The Oilers cleared the puck toward the empty net with one more attacker out for Florida in the final thirty seconds, but Tkachuk dove to sweep it away with an incredible stop to deny the Oilers the lead, while the crowd were ecstatic with a fantastic stick block. In addition, Connor McDavid scored into an empty net after recovering the puck to give Edmonton a 5-3 victory. This ended the Panthers’ hopes of winning a sixth game in Edmonton, Alberta. During Game 6

It was Monday night, June 24, 2024, and it was Game 7 at the Arena Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. The Florida Panthers’ coach, Paul Maurice, had one more opportunity to earn the Stanley Cup Trophy; if he failed, the team would choke out their most recent Stanley Cup Finals appearance since the 1942 Detroit Red Wings. The spectators were ecstatic to witness the Panthers raise the cup for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it was going to be the most dramatic game in Stanley Cup history but the team had to win. Legendary Florida Panthers player Roberto Luongo, who was a special guest, would enthusiastically urge the supporters to let out their adrenaline and pound the drums when they gave the shoutout. With all of their excitement, the crowd chanted, “LETS GO PANTHERS!” Many of the participants at Game 7 had the greatest exhilaration suggesting that it would be the right time for the dream to come true.

The Florida Panthers took the lead early in the game they scored within the first five minutes, which, oddly enough, was their first lead since Game 3. After a Florida power play ended, Evan Rodrigues fired the puck in from the left, and Verhaeghe flicked his stick in the right direction to get it past Skinner and give Florida a 1-0 lead. Since the end of Game 3, Florida had not held a lead until now. But the Oilers’ lead didn’t last long. About two minutes after Florida’s first goal, Edmonton went on a breakaway and Mattias Janmark of that club finished past Sergei Bobrovsky. Edmonton scored on Bobrovsky for the fifth time in a row on a breakaway goal capped by Janmark’s fourth goal of the series.

Sam Reinhart of Florida beat Skinner and defenseman Cody Ceci on a breakaway from a tight angle just over 15 minutes into the second period. Dmitry Kulikov and Verhaeghe were given the assist. Kulikov was able to defend his own net just before the goal, but Reinhart was able to score first. The Panthers would battle back and forth until Reinhart scored late in the second period to put Florida up 2-1.

It brought an end to a crazy sequence in which Dmitry Kulikov, a defenseman for Florida, found himself in the goal to help save an Edmonton goal just before Reinhart beat Skinner. With his 67th goal of the year, Reinhart increased his Florida single-season record, and it was up to the Panthers to maintain it.Even after the Oilers played the last 1:10 of the game with an empty net, Bobrovsky and his defense were able to hold on even though Edmonton dominated the last period. The Florida Panthers have finally won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history after three attempts, with the players defending the puck on the wall for the final ten seconds.

While some players celebrated by hugging, others sobbed with happiness, and all of the crowd threw rats onto the ice with excitement. In both the 1996 and 2023 seasons, it made it to the finals, but both times it was out of the running. The third time was definitely the charm. Still, for three games the Panthers’ momentum utterly disappeared. Florida took a commanding 3-0 series lead into Games 4, 5, and 6, but lost three games by allowing 18 goals. But in Game 7, Bobrovsky made 23 of 24 saves to guarantee that a historic collapse would not occur while he was in charge. The MVP of the Stanley Cup Final, Connor McDavid of the Oilers, won his first Conn Smythe Trophy in spite of the team’s defeat in the series. The honor of hoisting Lord Stanley was given to Aleksander Barkov, the first captain from Finland to accomplish so. Each player got their own turn to raise the Stanley Cup Trophy, and Coach Paul Maurice was overjoyed at the incredible comeback that the Stanley Cup of 2024 represented—a chance to survive. Each player got a turn to raise the Stanley Cup Trophy amid applause from the fans, and coach Paul Maurice was overwhelmed to witness the phenomenal comeback the Stanley Cup of 2024 had pulled off. The Florida Panthers faced tough obstacles in every round of the postseason, so even after they had won the hunt, the entire Stanley Cup run was effectively a type of survival mode. The Maple Leafs had made it to the Finals for the first time since 1945. The Detroit Red Wings led the series 3-0 at one point and forced a seventh game, but the Maple Leafs won that series.

The entire town opted to continue the Stanley Cup Party following the celebration of Game 7 and the Stanley Cup championship. The Panthers continued to celebrate with their Stanley Cup Trophy, after the ceremony, taking pictures with friends and family as they soon celebrated in the locker room to celebrate their accomplishments. The party continued to resume at bars, nightclubs, the beach, and every other place in South Florida to flaunt their lives. The Party would last through the summer until the day of the parade that fans stopped chasing them. The Florida Panthers continued the party until the new season begins.
