It all started when Australia won the scrimmage and Maddison Levi ran the ball the way to the endzone to give Australia the early try and won field kick 7-0. Then Australia intercepted the ball from Canada which they the ball most of the time which Maddison Levi pass it to Sariah Paki and got the ball for Australia to get another terrific try to gain the lead 12-0. Canada did their mighty boast to get the defense until the end of the first half when they turned the ball over and give it to Charity Williams of Canada which she ran all the way to the end of the end zone to give Canada their first try of the match with 21 seconds of added time. After that before halftime, Olivia Apps kicked the ball for a Conversion and also helped Canada get on the board while Australia is leading them 12-7.
When the 2nd Half started, Canada got the ball and won the scrimmage. However, there was a foul and Canada had won the ball back. The Canadian Team had proven to gain more speed to move the offense. With the Short Ball and hard challenge, Canada made a great scrimmage from Asia Hogan-Rochester until the penalty was called. After that, Piper Logan was able to get through the ball to Canada and somehow Florance Symonds gives it to Asia Hogan Rochester and got a terrific try to give Canada the lead 14-12. The Australian Team had to find a way to regain the defense while Canada continued their scrimmage. Both teams made great tackles but Canada has continued to keep the game alive. With 2 minutes left on the clock, Piper Logan was about to get a try for Canada but the referee reviews the play and the try was good and took the Field kick to gain the lead 21-12. During the final seconds into extratime, both teams did one last scrum and Canada won possession of the ball which Piper Logan got the ball first and lastly gives it to Chloe Daniels which she kicked the ball out of bounds to win the match.
Canada has won the semifinals as they celebrated their victory and the excitement of joy while Australia was in heartbreak and tears which they wanted to go to Gold Medal Match. while Canada gets to play against New Zealand in the Gold Medal Tournament while Australia will play against Team USA in the Bronze Medal Match.
