Could New Zealand go for a repeat back to back wins or Canada can get their first Olympics win in Rugby Sevens Team History. It all started when both teams each sang their national anthems before they start the grand finale of Women’s Rugby Sevens Match.

The match started when Chloe Daniels gets the Olympic underway from Canada which she kicks it to New Zealand and started off the ball from McCormack as she ran into action and give it to her teammates. Then Miller ran the ball and hounded to go around Canada which the Black Ferns had a great run from 6 and gives it to Risi Pouri-Lane the Co-Captain for New Zealand and ran like a cheetah to give New Zealand got a try from the captain. Moments later before the end of the 1st Half, Canada was looking forward for a try which it started with Olivia RS taps and goes quickly to Simons and kept the ball in hand as she was hit hard by Hidney. Then passed it to Crosley Picks and goes to Charity Williams over on the far side which it she was about to go down in the middle of the inside ball and passed it to Chloe Daniels and ran all the way to end zone under the post for Canada to give them a try. When the clock reach over 20 seconds of extratime, New Zealand were determined to get the winning try before halftime, which the Black Ferns teamed up to pass it in the back of the field and by Porcha Woodman Wickliff then give it to Tyler King and lastly pass it to Sarah Hiheihhe but it was intercepted by Corgan Corrian and ran 20 yards as she slides down to give Canada the winning try at Halftime. As Canada takes the lead 12-7 in the first half of the Gold Medal Match of Women’s Rugby Sevens Tournament, can New Zealand find a way to get a comeback, will see what could happen in the last 7 minutes of the 2nd half.

When the 2nd Half began, Canada are determined to upset New Zealand which it would not if New Zealand gets a repeat victory since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. New Zealand of 7 kicked the ball to Canada as Simons was about to run the ball but she was stacked by Woodman Wickliff of New Zealand. The Black Ferns has won the penalty and Georgia Miller taps the ball while she goes quickly to give to five and then pass it to Michaela Blide as she scores the try for New Zealand to tie the game at 12-12. The Conversion was good so New Zealand resumed the lead at 14-12. Then Canada was about to get closer for the try but somehow it was New Zealand ball and King passed it to Sarah Hiney while she goes through the phases and passed through the Canadian defense and she ran most of the first half of the field and passed it to King and then Stacy Walker then Corgan, then King, then Hindey and lastly, Stacy Walker ran the rest of the way to take the try line to score for New Zealand with less than 2 minutes left on the clock. It was incredible that the Black Ferns ran 100 meters through the entire field. New Zealand has taken the lead 19-12 which by the clock landed at zero, Michaela was about to get the last try but Canada tried to hang on the ball. New Zealand took the ball back and kick the ball out of bound and the Black Ferns has won the Women’s Rugby Sevens Final for another consecutive year since the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. New Zealand was able to win the Gold Medal Match but with all of the fans that was able to see them prevailed the victory.
