While Australia and Spain had a great run in Pool B as they both made it to the Quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics Playoffs Tournament and hope to get Gold Medal if one of them makes it to the Grand Final.
1st Quarter Kaitlin Nobbs of Australia took the Shot Player save. Then Williams whacked the ball to Alice Arnott as it somehow got into the Goal as the Hockeyroos take the early lead 1-0. Shot Goal. Then Belen Iglesias of Spain took the Shot which it was saved from Spain. After that, Penny Squibb of Australia took the Shot which it was missed out of bounds. Meanwhile, Begona Garcia of Spain took the Shot on Target which it was saved by Australia. Claire Colwill took 2 Shot Penalty Corners as it all resulted with a save from Spain. Somehow Australia did a Video Team Referral which could be called for a Spain foot which it was Refused. Then Marta Segu Of Spain got caught for the foul and got herself a Green Card. Lastly, Stephanie Kershaw if Australia took the shot but it was missed.
The 2nd Quarter started off with Australia as they worked as a team to take the Shot Goalkeeper saved it from going in. Then Beatriz Perez of Spain took the shot which it was saved, then Lola Riera took the Penalty Corner Shot as Bartman the Australian Goalkeeper managed to save it, as Spain took another Penalty Corner which Maria Lopez took the shot which it was saved. Before Haltime, Rebecca Greiner of Australia was called for a foul and got herself a Green Card.
When the 3rd Quarter started,Stephanie Kershaw was going to score but it was blocked by Clara Perez and passed the ball to Alice Arnott which it was hit by the foot and scored the goal but the Referee reviewed the play which the Goal was not held as a Foot before the ball went in which it was disallowed. After that Lucia Jimenez was going to get the goal for Spain which it was a great blocked by Australia as the game resumed. Spain has tried to get 2 shots on the goal in a row but wanted to reviewed the play from Bartman which it was hit Begona Garcia in the left stomach as she wants to review and arm Contact. The referral call was ruled for a Spain Penalty Corner which Xantal Gine took the shot and was saved, then Blanca Perez took the shot and Spain has gone for another penalty corner. Then Lola Riera took the shot and it was saved so they took 3 penalty corners in a row as Luica Jimenez took the shot as Bartman the Goalkeeper managed to kick it out of their position. After that, Lucia Jimenez took the shot and it went in but the Referee blown the whistle for a Penalty Stroke as the Hockeyroos weren’t happy about the call. Subsequently Lola Riera took the Penalty Stroke and scored the goal for Spain as it was all leveled at 1-1. Her expertise was the reason why capitalize Spain to catch up to Australia. Before the end of the 3rd Quarter, Constanza Amundson took the Shot but it was saved by the Goalkeeper.
The 4th and last Quarter started off with Australia and Spain going back and forth with possession of the ball which couldn’t conclude the momentum to get the scoring opportunity which has used the energy. Then Lucia Jimenez of Spain got the shot saved by Bartman. Then, Maddison Brooks took the long range and Clara Perez the Spain Goalkeeper almost allowed Australia to get the Goal which quickly kicked it with her foot. After the attempt, Blanca Perez was caught for tripping Kaitlin Nobbs and got the Yellow Card for Spain. Subsequently, Claire Colwill took the shot but went out of bounds from a great save from Perez as 17 went down but went back up. The Hockeyroos took the Penalty Corner and Stephanie Kershaw and scored the goal which it could be the winner of the match with over 5 minutes left. The Hockeyroos Fans were excited and started chanting them for the effort. Then Karri Somerville of Australia was caught for contacting the player of Spain and got the yellow card. The Australian Captain Kaitlin Nobbs took the empty netter and helped the Hockeyroos gained the lead 3-1. While Spain the whole minute to get the possession of the empty netter, they try to catch up to Australia which it was too late and Marta Segu of Spain who was contacted by Claire Colwill as Australia prevailed the Match but Spain wanted to reviewed the played but lost the referral play.
The Hockeyroos has officially won the Match 3-1. As Fans celebrated with their stuff animals of kangaroos and wallaby’s and the Hockeyroos did a handshake with Spain, as both teams qualified to the Quarterfinals Playoffs and would play on Tuesday. The Hockeyroos as the the Pool A Division after USA played against South Africa with a 1-0 victory and Australia has won after a one goal difference with Argentina tied with 13 points on the Pool A Standings.
