The 1st Quarter started off with Margarita Plevritou took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by Australia. While Elle Armit took the Action Shot, it was saved by Greece. Abby Andrews of Australia took the shot and played hot potato while passing to their teammates, take the shot and it rebound it to Tilly Kearns and missed the opportunity of the opening Goal. Charlize Andrews took the Acton Shot and missed the net. Then Vasiliki Plevritou of Greece was called for Penalty Foul and Alice Greens of Penalty Shot and scored the Opening Goal for the Stingers 1-0. Then Nikoleta Eleftheriadou took the Extra Player Shot and it hit the post while the Gabriella Palm the Australian Goalkeeper was able to save it. Keesia Gofers of Australia took the Action Shot and it was saved by Greece. Then Vasiliki Plevritou of Greece took the Action Shot and it was it by the post but couldn’t find a way to get the goal to tie it up. Maria Myriokefalitaki of Greece took the Centre Shot and it was saved.

The 2nd Quarter Started off with Abby Andrews took the Counter Attack and snuck into the Greece Goalkeeper to lead the Stingers 2-0. After that, Bronte Halligan held on the ball but quickly give it to her teammates and took the Action Shot hit the Post and scored the Goal 3-1. However, The Greece Head Coach was unhappy with the call and got the yellow card for interference with the Referee. Then Maria Myriokefalitaki took the Centre Shot Goal 3-1 as Greece got the opening Goal. Then Eleftheria Plevritou took the Action Shot and it was saved by Gabriella Palm. Athina Dimitra Giannopoulou took the Action Shot Goal as they creep into Australia 3-2. Abby Andrews of Australia took the Action Shot and it was block by the GreeceDefense. Eleni Xenaki took the Action Shot Goal for Greece and tied the game at 3-3. After that, Eleni Xenaki of Greece took the Action Shot and it was missed, Sienna Green of Australia also took the Action Shot and it was Missed. Abby Andrews took the Action Shot while each player passed the long throw before she took the Goal as the Stingers take the lead back 4-3 just in time before Halftime.

The 3rd Quarter started with Zoe Arancini of Australia who took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by loanna Stamatopoulou the Greece Goalkeeper. Then loanna Chydirioti of Greece was caught for a Penalty Foul and Alice Williams took another Penalty Shootout and scored the Goal for the Stingers 5-3. Alice Williams got the Hattrick Goal after an amazing throw from Abby Andrews as they take advance 6-3. Then Both Australia and Greece had some turnover fouls until Nikoleta Eleftheriadou took the Extra Plater Shot as Greece scored 6-4. Bronte Halligan took the Action Shot and hit the post to the other side as soon as the buzzer was up before the Final Quarter started.

The Last Quarter began with Bronte Halligan as she couldn’t get the goal in the end of the 3rd so played hot potato with Alice Williams and Abby Andrews and landed back to Halligan as she raised her arm faster while spinning to trick the Greece Defense and took the supercharge shot as she Scored the Goal for the Stingers 7-4. Meanwhile, Eleni Xenaki of Greece took the Action Shot by doing the back hand and it the Post. When AUstrlai took the Timeout, The Assistant Coach of Greece was caught for a Red Card after complaining about the call of Eleni Xenaki’s Field Exclusion. Then Alice Williams took the Action Shot and loanna Stamatopoulou was caught for a turnover Foul contacting Alice Williams, then Williams took the ball back as the revenge to score the Hattrick for Australia 8-4. The Players and the Coach of Greece was furious about the call before the goal was allowed after a Overturn Foul. Keesia Gofers of Australia took the Action Shot and it was blocked by the Greece Defense. Eirini Ninou took the Extra Plater Shot and scored the Goal for Greece while down by 3 with less than 2 minutes left on the clock of 8-5. After that, Zoe Arancini of Australia was caught for Centre forward position exclusion and got the Red Card with substitution as she was done for the rest of the match. Nikoleta Eleftheriadou took the Shot on Goal so it was hit by the Post and Eleni Xenaki quickly took the Extra Plaver Shot and scored the Goal 8-6. Then Vasiliki Plevritou got called for a Field Exclusion which then Australia work as Bronte Halligan passed the ball to Abby Andrews, then Alice Williams, throw it to Sienna Hearn, to Williams, long throw back to Halligan and back to Williams which scored the winning goal for the Stingers as Alice Williams pointed up her finger in the air as of great teamwork from Australia. The Players, Coaches and their fans were really excited with the play. Bec Rippon the Head Coach was pleased with the performance of her teamed and worked as a team after the Timeout Call. Then Nikoleta Eleftheriadou of Greece took the 6 metre direct shot in the free throw situation, however Gabriella Palm the Australian Goalkeeper was able to save it after quickly hitting the Post which she wasted no time holding the ball before the last 10 seconds. The Match ended with Alexia Anna Kammenou the Greece Head Coach with a Red Card for Poor Sportsmanship as Australia won the Quarterfinals 9-6. The Aussie Fans were excited that they made it to the Semifinals and hoping to get Gold for the first time since Sydney Olympics as the Host Nation in 2000.

The Stingers has won the Quarterfinals as they will play against Team USA as they head to the Semifinals on Thursday. The Green and Yellow almost shorten their lead but managed to keep a close call of leading until the very end with the victory.
