The history started off when Luke Hood and his AEI Group decided to launch their own record label, UKF, with the goal of advancing electronic music. Luke Hood founded UKF Music, which he first released on his two original YouTube channels, UKF Drum & Bass and UKF Dubstep, in 2009. The UKF brand now has five available YouTube channels: UKF Music, UKF Dubstep, UKF Drum & Bass, UKF Mixes, and UKF On Air. In addition to its YouTube channels, UKF has organized events, released merchandise, developed podcasts, even compilation series, and has set up its own ticketing website.

I became focused most of its songs from Spotify which I never realise that some of the songs were on the youtube channel. Parts of the Global Pandemic, I wanted to dig deeper with EDM not just some of the artists from House or Bass but I wanted tryout different types of EDM Formats and discovered about the origins of this type of genre.

It’s impressive to think that it’s been 10 years since UKF began, the DIY music channel-turned-bass music behemoth and home of the freshest sounds of the scene – and it’s a statistic that’ll immediately make anyone from 20 to 30 feel painfully old.

Luke Hood launched the YouTube channel as a project to share drum’n’bass, bassline, including dubstep bangers with sixth-form buddies. However, in its first year, it had one million users, and the UKF community became very real, incredibly quickly. It was no longer merely a personal channel. It was a worldwide brand that released iTunes-charting compilations, hosted news and editorial on a popular website, and hosted events around the UK. In its early years, they even sold out the 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace with over forty huge DJs.

Luke Hood started the YouTube channel as a project to share drum’n’bass, bassline, and dubstep bangers with his sixth-form mates. Nevertheless it had a million users in its first year, and the UKF community took shape very quickly, almost like actual people. It was no longer just a channel for personal use. It was a global brand that staged events around the UK, produced compilations that reached the top of iTunes charts, and posted news and editorial on well-known popular website. They even packed the 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace in its early years, bringing in over forty big-name DJs.

UKF has had a significant impact on the electronic dance music industry by becoming the go-to website for discovering new music and for breaking some of the biggest hits of the decade. They’ve created UKF10, a tribute album including names from the past, present, and future, to mark the event. On Saturday, December 14, they’re throwing a huge party at London’s Studio 338 with Dimension, Delta Heavy, and many more.

Then how did it grow to be so massive? So what exactly does the F stand for? Luke reveals some of UKF’s success secrets as well as selects five essential tunes that helped constitute the brand into the beast it is today.

Becoming courageous can pay benefits

Starting a music movement requires knowing what you have to offer. Being innocent can occasionally be a sign of bravery, as Luke discovered.

When I first decided to start going out, I knew exactly what I was hoping to witness at my initial nightclub night, and the simple facttherefore UKF is an online community meant that very little of the planning was guesswork.” I was able to quickly speak with the community and identify artists I wanted to hire which included musicians based on their popularity with the locals from they live.

“After that [in 2011], bass music completely faded away. That year, Wilkinson, Chase & Status, Doctor P, DJ Fresh, and Nero all had hit singles and albums at number one. As a result, 10,000 people attended the Alexandra Palace event in November, instead of the projected 500. It was definitely a cultural change to start caring for and curating those types of abilities at the age of 18. It’s been a lifelong dream come true.

Streaming is not always have power

As essential as streaming is in the modern era, promoting artists who have been ignored by the entertainment industry is equally significant. Echo chamber music suggestionsrequire you to speak louder for you to be clearly heard.

“The thing I’d say regarding streaming platforms these days is that you’re almost in an echo chamber of ‘if you like this particular tune, you’ll definitely like this song.'” This process isn’t as effortless as it previously were. So, at UKF, they’ve continually attempted to broadcast burgeoning scenes we like, ensuring that musicians who have never released music before get discovered. We make a concerted effort to go through our demo box and work with all of the record companies with all of the first-line artists who will go on to larger and better things.

“Earlier this year, we collaborated with Holy Goof. despite this many people hadn’t really caught on to the [bass house] scene, Holy Goof is on his path to selling out Printworks on his own.

Diversity is key

Bass music is awesome, as we all know, but when the scene is more broadened it’s even better. UKF has been working to eliminateobstacles for minority artists and recognizes there is always space for development. “We would want to see a female producer or DJ publish every other time. We certainly promote a lot of female musicians, even though the majority are singers while a few are DJs (Mollie Collins, Koven, Charlotte Haining with Hybrid Minds, for example). There are certainly more than when the journey began, but clearly not enough. We strive our best to actively encourage talent from all ethnic backgrounds, because the greater the diversity that encourages it, the better the outcome. Certainly, our team was able to discover this.

The story of UKF

The name UKF stands for United Kingdom and Frome, Luke Hood’s hometown.

There are plenty of my favorite songs that I listen to which is the artists, the beats or the rhythm or whatever message it gives myself and the audience who likes

The Sub genres of Drum n Bass are Autonomic Sound, The Brazilian Sound, Breakcore, Dancefloor, Darkcore, Half-time, Intelligent, Jump-in, Jungle, Liquid, Minimal, Neurofunk, Rollers, and Techstep.

The reason I choice this song was because I really like the storyline of the song and it’s also based on a music festival in London which it was green light for large crowds after a full year of the pandemic. I really enjoyed the experience of showing the sites of London and the music Festival people blasting themselves with the groove of the music. The song “High Notes” was from K Motionz featuring Emily Makis and Liam Gibson who directed the video of the song. It was often used for the London Tube experience riding back and forth which they show the behind the scenes of the music festival and the VIP Lounge.

The first verse emphasizes the challenge can be to strike a balance between the responsibilities of daily life and the need for rest and stress reduction. Lyrical statements such as “Holla if you’re here because you wanna leave your stress behind” encourage listeners to partake in the yearning for an easygoing atmosphere. With lines like “Spin another vibe, bro” implying that immersing oneself in music can enhance an experience, the chorus highlights the ability of music to elevate mood. Through music and good vibes, the phrases “leaving on a high note” and “get out here hyper” are repeated, evoking feelings of pleasure and liberty. The song’s recurring theme of finding comfort in music and the joy it offers symbolizes an approach to escape from the hardships of daily existence. The song’s lyrics exhort listeners to live in the present, put their problems aside, and let their spirits be strengthened by the upbeat energy of music. The content of the song, which emphasizes the value of self-care and finding joy in the little things in life, eventually celebrates the transformational power of music in elevating one’s attitude. “High Note” acts as a helpful reminder to put self-care first and look for happy and relaxing moments despite life’s obstacles.

Blanke is also known as a Drum n Bass Artist who is from Australia which he cool types of beats which include, New Beats, Dupstep and House which most of his songs are related to the formation of music. The reason why I choose Breathe by Blanke because I really loved the melody and chasing space with different sounds for the music. acts as a new dawn for the artist who has become renowned for his melodic dubstep bangers as it introduces the world to his new side project, ÆON. While not entirely separate from the realm of Blanke’s bass-fueled sound, the new alias is centered on the exploration of his influences from drum and bass and is a taste of what’s in store on his ÆON:ONE EP as well. The track begins with piano keys and vocals from Blanke himself that caress the soul before picking up the pace and jumping quickly into insane drum work to get your heartbeat racing. The electric synth patterns sprinkled into the song combined with the speedy drums create an upbeat effect that makes you feel like you’re in a futuristic hyperspeed chase. It’s a beautifully composed tune and will leave listeners craving more from the project.

The reason why I selected this song because I adored its melody, which conveys life’s journey from reaching above the ground to below the underground while reaching significant life milestones. I really enjoyed it when singer Elipsa spoke, with drops by Grafix and Lee Matthews, as the bass drum pounded with the intensity of energy. The two duo Graham Matthews and Tom Lee of Lee Matthews the Drum n Bass duo and Elipsa are from Auckland, New Zealand, while Grafix is from Exeter, England.

The song “Underground” by Grafix & Lee Mvtthews (ft. Elipsa) seems to convey a message of personal empowerment and moving forward. The lyrics suggest breaking free from a restrictive or difficult situation, symbolized by the “underground,” and embracing a newfound sense of freedom and possibility.

The repetitiveness of the chorus, with its uplifting “woah-oh” chants, creates a sense of unity and strength. It implies that reaching out into the world, figuratively “into the sound,” can bring about positive change and lift oneself up from a place of limitation.

The line “Calling out from higher ground” emphasizes the desire to move to a better, elevated state. By not looking back, the song encourages listeners to leave behind the past and any obstacles or negativity that may have held them down.

Overall, “Underground” celebrates the journey of personal growth and self-discovery, urging listeners to embrace new opportunities and leave behind the confines of their previous lives. It promotes a forward-thinking mindset with the belief that there is no need to dwell on the past when there is so much potential awaiting in the future.

The song “FEEL” by Delta Heavy featuring Koven is about an intense connection between two individuals and the desire to escape from reality and embrace the passion and excitement of the present moment.

The lyrics allude to the feeling of a strong, electrifying attraction between two people. The line “Two hearts inside your eyes, can you feel the rush?” suggests that the narrator is captivated by the other person’s presence and feels a sense of exhilaration or emotional intensity when they are together.

The repeated phrases “Come feel what I feel, come see what I see” and “Drop your guard and let the night take over” emphasize the invitation for the listener to experience the same intense emotions as the narrator. It implies that by surrendering to the moment and letting go of inhibitions, they can fully immerse themselves in the excitement and passion of the encounter.

The post-chorus line “I can’t pick you up” implies a longing to lift the other person’s spirits and provide comfort. It suggests that the narrator wants to be a source of support and understanding, expressing a strong desire to share their emotions and experiences.

Overall, “FEEL” conveys the exhilaration of being emotionally consumed by another person and the longing to create a deep connection and understanding. It explores the intensity of desire and the longing to escape from reality to embrace the feelings of the present moment.

It was my personal favorite because I love the melody and the dynamics of Drum n Bass to something that you want say it on top of your lungs from Pop Dance to Drum and Bass throughout the whole song. Which I fell in love with Drum n Bass in late 2021 and it was my favorite song to wrap of 2021.

The song “Say What You Want” by Koven appears to convey a message of self-empowerment and liberation from toxic relationships. The lyrics suggest a certain level of frustration and a shift in perspective. The speaker is no longer willing to engage in a one-sided dynamic where they constantly play the victim of love.

The repeated phrase “say what you want” can be understood as a dismissal or disregard for the opinions and words of the other person. The speaker no longer cares for their partner’s empty promises or attempts to manipulate the situation. By saying “I’m tired of playing the victim of love” and “no longer forcing what your eyes never see,” they express their decision to break free from the patterns of deception and blindness.

The chorus emphasizes the importance of asserting oneself and expressing personal desires. By encouraging the other person to say what they want, the speaker suggests that they are willing to listen, but ultimately, they are no longer affected. This could symbolize a newfound strength and resilience, moving away from being confined by their partner’s words and actions.

In the second verse, the speaker acknowledges that their partner’s behavior is consistent with their character type. They choose to distance themselves from the ongoing fight, suggesting that they have realized their worth and will no longer be dragged down by negativity. By stating “I’m more than just a victim of the past,” they assert that they refuse to be defined by previous toxic experiences.

Overall, “Say What You Want” can be interpreted as a declaration of independence, self-worth, and a determination to no longer let toxic relationships dictate one’s emotions and well-being. It encourages individuals to reclaim their power and prioritize their own happiness.

Koven is a DnB duo which Katie is the lead singer and does the music tours while Max does the background of the music. The duo has been playing for many years and continue to make songs.

The song “Take it Away” by Koven explores the dynamic of a relationship that is on the verge of ending or has already ended. The lyrics evoke a sense of detachment and resignation as the couple struggles to move on and let go of their shared experiences and feelings. The chorus repeats the question, “Are you letting this go?” suggesting that either one or both of the individuals involved are having a hard time accepting the end of the relationship, and may still be holding onto hope or lingering emotions.

The verses also reference the difficulty of moving on, with lines such as “Turning love to dust, ’cause we know it can’t change” and “Leaving it behind, isn’t always easy.” The pre-chorus reflects on the past and the fond memories that the couple shared, yet acknowledges that distance has come between them. The post-chorus repeats the question, almost as if to emphasize the singer’s desire to know if the other person is truly ready to let go.

Overall, “Take it Away” speaks of the harsh realities of relationships and the struggle to move on when things don’t work out. Even though it may be painful, sometimes the best course of action is to accept that it’s time to move on and let go in order to find new beginnings.

Georgie Riot and Aktive are both from England while Georgie Riot does most of the songs but Aktive also create many songs and remixes. In “Wait For Me,” by Georgie Riot, the lyrics seem to touch on the concept of timing when it comes to relationships. The song is characterized by a simple and repeating melody that helps to keep the focus on the words. The song starts by posing questions “If you were falling, would you fall with me? If I was calling, would you answer me?” These questions suggest that the singer is looking for someone who can be with them through the ups and downs of life, and who won’t hesitate to be there when needed. However, the singer also acknowledges that the timing of the relationship might not be right, but wonders if the other person would still wait for them. The emphasis on these questions shows that the singer is looking for a deep connection with someone who is willing to be patient and wait for them.

“Off the Ground” by Sub Focus seems to be a song about finding someone who can lift you up during tough times. The lyrics refer to a person who is like “fire,” a source of warmth and light in a dark and cold world. This person helps the singer find a “path that’s paved in gold,” suggesting that they offer clarity and guidance.

The chorus repeats the phrase “You lift me off the ground,” emphasizing the importance of this person in the singer’s life. The repetition suggests that this lift is consistent and reliable, happening every time they need it. The bridge and buildup sections further reinforce this notion of consistency.

Overall, the song seems to be a grateful tribute to a supportive person who has helped the singer overcome difficult moments in their life and has remained a constant source of strength.

The song “Higher” by DJ Fresh & Used (featuring Little Nikki) revolves around the theme of seeking a higher state of love and connection. The chorus repeats the phrase “Take me higher,” suggesting a desire for a deeper emotional or spiritual experience.

The lyrics imply a yearning to experience a love that is genuine and authentic. The repeated request to “show me that the love is real” indicates a longing for proof or assurance of the sincerity of the love being pursued. It may reflect a desire to move beyond superficial connections and find something more profound and substantial.

The line “Join me if it’s how you feel” suggests an invitation for others to partake in this journey of love and transcendence. It implies that the protagonist seeks someone who shares the same aspirations and desires for a higher level of connection. It could be interpreted as an invitation for unity and shared experiences.

The bridge’s lyrics, “Take me higher, take me higher. Life is a winding road,” add a philosophical layer to the song. They indicate that life is a complex journey with ups and downs, represented by a winding road. The repetition of “take me higher” reinforces the desire to rise above these challenges and seek a heightened emotional or spiritual state.

Overall, “Higher” conveys a message of yearning for a deeper, more authentic love and connection while inviting others to join in this quest. It encourages the exploration of emotions and experiences beyond the ordinary, mundane aspects of life, and seeks to find something more meaningful and fulfilling.

The reason why I choose this song Tell Me by Holy Goof featuring Paige Cavell is because I love the lyrics and it describes about something deep in your soul but don’t want to tell something while keeping your emotions to yourself.

Hitting the sweet spot for any drum & bass lover with this newest release, ‘Tell Me’ strikes the perfect balance of untamed, unruly energy and electrifying emotion all rolled up into one sweet 4-minute package. With Paige Cavell’s powerful vocals, and Holy Goof’s strong soundscape, the pair are an unstoppable force of musical nature that command the attention of listeners worldwide. Released just in time for the tail end of the summer festival season, the pair have crafted an anthem that will make crowds go wild.

Chasing high (Slow Motion) by James Hiraeth is a young DJ from Wales who wanted to make songs and goes into tours at nightclubs, underground warehouse and local university bars in the UK.

The protagonist in the first phrase talks of feeling lost and disoriented, as if they are floating in the dark. They speak of a yearning for “poison,” which might be taken to mean an intoxicated or thrilling substance. A person’s hand can afford them a momentary diversion and calm their anxiousness.
The idea of seeking highs and finding contentment in the here and now is reaffirmed by the chorus. The main character implies that until they met the person they are currently with, they were continuously looking for these thrilling encounters. The slow motion visuals reinforce the idea that they are living each moment to the fullest and appreciating it. The protagonist’s developing bond with the person they are pursuing highs with is highlighted in the bridge. Time passes when they are together, as seen by how little the hours seem to matter. The phrase “I’m falling higher and higher with you” implies that the other person is giving them a boost and intensifying their joy and exhilaration.
All things considered, “Chasing Highs” is a song about searching for and discovering exciting and euphoric moments, and realizing that these times might appear in unexpected places, like the company of a special someone. It expresses what it’s like to chase after strong feelings and live life to the fullest.

Electricity by Friction x K Motionz is a Drum n Bass Friction from Brighton while he used this song as part of his After Dark Album which it was it had success songs like I Need to Feel, Into the Night, Weed and Wine, Your Love and Remember. This song he collaborated with K Motionz from the UK as K Motionz made a huge success in 2021 after his successful song High Notes with Emily Makis. The song Electricity is about wanting to fly but too scared to fly away. It’s about amplifying life through electricity, while maintaining the life of getting the rhythm of the music. It also explained that you can spend your wings to fly and use your soul to imagine flying while dancing with the energy of attention.

The reason why I loved this song is because the lyrics explain about going through life while swimming against the tides, but I loved the harmony of the song itself. The beats are amped up and incredible of each verse of the song.

The song “Against the Tide” by Delta Heavy (featuring Lauren L’aimant) appears to reflect the desire to break free from a life of deception and conformity. The repeated lines “I don’t wanna live another lie” convey a strong desire for authenticity and honesty. The lyrics suggest a yearning to escape from a situation or relationship filled with falsehoods and pretense.

The phrase “swim against the tide” carries a metaphorical meaning, implying a struggle against societal expectations or conformity. It symbolizes a rejection of the status quo and a refusal to blindly follow the crowd. By expressing a refusal to swim against the tide, the song highlights the desire to live an authentic life, free from the constraints of societal norms and falsehoods.

The lyrics also depict a willingness to embrace change and to give everything for a genuine connection. Lines like “Anything you want, anything you need, I can give you all or nothing” and “You can call the shots now, you can take the lead” demonstrate a willingness to give everything for a relationship or a meaningful connection, with a desire to escape the cycle of deception.

Overall, “Against the Tide” conveys a sense of longing for truth, authenticity, and a desire to break free from societal expectations and live a genuine life.

Infinity by Wilikison which it was one my favorite songs of 2023, because I love the melody of the song and the song is touching me through my eyes and my soul finds a happy wherever I go to find my horizons.

Wilkinson’s song “Infinity” (with iiola, ILIRA, and Tom Cane) perfectly captures the idea of unending love and support. The theme of supporting someone in their hour of need and finding consolation in their company is emphasized throughout the lyrics.
The words “Holdin’ on together” and “Cease tonight ’cause nothin’ lasts forever” in the verses express a resolve to stick together in spite of life’s fleeting nature. The message is that although everything has an end, a singer’s relationship with their loved one endures forever.
“When my heart needs a remedy, you’re right there in front of me, in your eyes, there’s infinity,” is sung again in the chorus. This presents the person’s partner as the source of consolation and healing. Their eyes, with their sense of grandeur and boundless love, serve as a reminder of eternity.
In the drop portion, the chorus is repeated to emphasize the value of this steadfast support and the idea that it may heal a weary heart.
The lyrics of the tune mostly center on universal qualities of human interactions, hence there are no overt cultural, historical, or significant connections. Anyone who has ever felt a strong connection with another person can relate to the song’s message, which transcends cultural boundaries. In metaphorical terms, “infinity” stands for the eternal and limitless essence of love. It implies that the singer’s companion has boundless empathy, sympathy, and assistance. The lyrics suggest that the person’s presence and look provide stability and assurance by referencing their eyes.
The overall message of “Infinity” is one of steadfast love, encouragement, and the power that comes from having an intimate connection with someone. It emphasizes how essential it is to support one another and find comfort when one is at their most vulnerable. The idea behind the song’s meaning is that love can serve as a haven, providing consolation and a sense of permanence in the face of life’s fleeting nature.

The reason I enjoyed this official video of Triad by Truno, Tominthechamber & Haribo, on the UKF Channel because it was like poetry song in parts of the lines. It was a rap beat poetry for a Drum n Bass song. The rhythm had different types of beats with Turno, Tominthechamber and Haribo which they had sick beats on their own verse of the song. The Official Video was also based in London going on their own journeys and daily routine even some parts at the studio apartment making songs for future releases.

The reason why it was my favorite song of 2023 of this channel

The song “Disconnect” by Becky Hill & Chase & Status reflects on the need to break free from the pressures and monotony of everyday life. The lyrics convey a desire for respite and release from the burdens that weigh down the mind.

In the first verse, the speaker acknowledges the difficulties they have been facing, stating that life has been challenging and they need some time to unwind. The Pre-Chorus expresses the feeling of being trapped in repetitive cycles and wanting to break free from them. The request to “switch it up” and “get loose” signifies a longing for change and liberation.

The chorus emphasizes the idea of disconnecting from the stresses and worries that consume our thoughts. By disconnecting, the speaker suggests that they can realign their focus and redirect their energy towards positive and uplifting thoughts. Changing one’s frequency refers to altering their mindset and perspective, enabling them to detach from negative influences and find inner peace.

The second verse builds upon the themes established in the first verse, calling for unity and a positive atmosphere through raising spirits and avoiding conflict. It reinforces the idea that amidst the repetitive nature of life, there are ways to navigate through and overcome challenges.

Overall, “Disconnect” encourages listeners to actively seek moments of detachment and rejuvenation. It underscores the importance of freeing oneself from the mental clutter that hinders personal and emotional growth. By embracing a mindset shift and embracing new perspectives, individuals can disconnect from negativity and find peace of mind.

“Fall To The Dust” by Metrik appears to convey a message of caution and the consequences of impulsive actions. The song suggests that rushing into something without proper preparation or consideration can lead to negative outcomes, represented metaphorically as falling to the dust.

The lyrics in the first verse begin by emphasizing a sense of emptiness and loss associated with memories, presumably from a past relationship. The phrase “You took it away” suggests that someone else may have caused this pain or taken something significant away. It could refer to a breakup or betrayal that left the protagonist feeling empty and without hope.

The refrain conveys the central message of the song, advising against rushing into things without prior experience or careful thought. The line “You should walk before you run” implies the importance of taking things step by step and not trying to speed up the process. The mention of falling to the dust warns that hasty actions can lead to failure or ruin.

The drop section reinforces the idea that hasty decisions can lead to negative consequences. The repetition of “fall to the dust” emphasizes the potential downfall and serves as a reminder to be cautious.

In the second verse, the lyrics continue to emphasize the consequences of impulsive actions. The mention of being in the dark could symbolize confusion or a lack of clarity in one’s life after a significant loss. The line “You sleep it away” suggests avoiding facing the reality or consequences of their actions, possibly using sleep as a means of escape.

The refrain in this verse further emphasizes the message of caution, warning against continuing on a path while kneeling in the burning sun. This imagery could represent carrying on a painful or destructive situation without taking the necessary precautions or learning from past mistakes. The phrase “And now you fall to the dust” reinforces the idea that the consequences of impulsive actions are inevitable and can result in further disappointment or failure.

Overall, “Fall To The Dust” by Metrik serves as a reminder to approach life with caution, taking the time to understand the potential consequences of impulsive decisions and avoiding rushing into situations without proper consideration.

The song “Liquor & Cigarettes” explores themes of hedonism, escapism, and self-destructive behavior in the face of a troubled relationship. The lyrics depict a person who is grappling with their emotions and using vices like liquor and cigarettes as a way to cope.

In the chorus, the repetition of “Liquor and cigarettes still on my breath” suggests that the protagonist is indulging in these substances to numb their pain and distract themselves from their relationship problems. The mention of missed calls and texts implies a lack of communication and the possible breakdown of the relationship.

The verse highlights the protagonist’s reckless behavior, as they confess to being involved with other people while their partner expresses jealousy and anger. The line “I don’t care” reflects a lack of concern for the consequences of their actions, showcasing a disregard for their partner’s feelings.

The song also alludes to a potential moment of reconciliation, where the protagonist declares that their partner is about to have the best night of their life. This suggests a fleeting attempt to salvage the relationship, but it remains uncertain whether this promise will be fulfilled or if it is merely an empty gesture.

Overall, “Liquor & Cigarettes” delves into the chaotic emotions and tumultuous dynamics of a troubled relationship, as the protagonist tries to find solace and escape through self-destructive behaviors. It serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of turning to vices to cope with emotional turmoil.

Document One the song is about embracing the beats of DnB

We’re thrilled to announce that Document One is back on Elevate Records with their final single of 2023, “Too Lazy.” Document One is among the finest in the game when it comes to crafting rave-ready bangers and sprinkling them with outlandish noises and ridiculous levels of heavyweight D&B energy.

This new song from Document One is flawlessly produced and ideally suited for the dance floor, demonstrating the duo’s production prowess that we’ve been fortunate to hear so much of on the label.

USED who is a Belgium Drum and Bass Artist as he sang the song LimeLight which describes the life of being famous while playing at his own concert with 3 other clones included himself.

The Music video started off as he went back to his flat and took his guitar to imagine himself having his own show. The quote “Come step into the Limelight, I’ve been this way before” describes a person who had been down that road whenever if its life’s problems, alcoholism, drugs or dealing with the wrong people. When he was singing the quotes, he used to set up all of the bottles of liquor and a bottle of coca cola to show that he has a drinking problem. When he finished the 1st half of the main verse, he used the guitar and bass to drop the beats as he and his clones rocked on the concert with all of this fans clapping for them. After the 2nd time of finishing the main verse, he was being splashed of liquor and there was another scene when he was being pushed by 4 guys with black hoodies, he then had a blast with getting wet with water and liquor to amped up his own excitement while living at the moment. The next scene, while he sang the main verse for the 3rd time, he wore a towel around his neck because the singer himself was hot, sweaty and feeling a lot of pressure as he continued to sing the words while being drunk. While back at the guitar scene before the last round the main verse, there was one side of him playing the violin on his sober side at the concert, which there was another side of him he was drinking his problems away and covered his face with a towel. During the epilogue moment of the song, he was carried by 4 guys with black hoodies and there another scene when the singer himself woke up feeling hangover because of his alcoholism and his face was sweating like insane and the video wrapped up with the singer himself being taken by 4 guys with black hoodies while possibly taking hostage.

The lesson is that don’t beat yourself up over something that you’re not proud of, but there is a good lesson that turning something into a career would be a world to play in front of a live audience as you sing your hard out like small shows or have your own Rampage Show at the Music Festival. It was about taking your own advice to focus on yourself and help to you get motivated to improve your mental health.

The reason why I choose this song Lost my Mind by Freaks & Geeks & Tina Dee is because I loved the amped up beats of Drum n Bass which some of the melody reminds me of Higher by Aktive which was back in 2021 and I got into that song in Spring into early Summer 2022. It’s also about finding help for someone when you loose your mind as you struggle to find what is real and wasn’t real.

The song Metamorphosis by Serum & Voltage which Serum use cartoon images on his songs and is into heavy bass in the industry of Drum n Bass, while added some the quotes from a tv show before dropping the bass of each verse.

The song had some leelemnts which the voice sounds like a classic American tv show or movie but some of the quotes was from the Book The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka or something that has the inspirational of the Metamorphosis.

The lyrics of “Dominoes” by D.O.D (Ft. Hannah Boleyn) convey a sense of vulnerability and surrender in love. The repetition of “When you pull me close and the walls fall down like dominos” emphasizes the transformative power of intimacy, suggesting that the walls we build around ourselves crumble effortlessly when we are with someone who truly understands us. The song captures the exhilarating feeling of letting go of defenses and embracing a deep connection with another person, symbolized by the falling dominos. The soothing repetition of “Hold me” further underscores the desire for closeness and comfort in a relationship. Ultimately, the lyrics celebrate the overwhelming joy of finding solace and unity in love.

The song “COLD CASE” by REAPER, featuring Bella Renee, delves into the topics of acceptance of oneself, letting go of jealousy, and envy. The storyteller struggles with feelings of inferiority and yearns to have attributes or characteristics that they consider appealing in other people. The phrase “cold case” alludes to an unresolved crime that has lain dormant for an extended period of time, suggesting that the narrator’s jealousy is still unresolved. The narrator portrays their jealousy as a “constant scream” that haunts them in the first stanza, emphasizing how strong and enduring their envy is. The question “Where the hell’s the remedy?” conveys a sense of hopelessness and desperation to overcome their inferiority complex. The chorus wonders how someone else has such desired qualities, which makes the protagonist wonder if they can alter themselves to acquire such qualities. This idea is represented by the wish to “train [their] smile.” The fact that they keep saying “got a cold case of jealousy” highlights how ingrained and unresolved their envy is. The second verse explores the idea that everyone faces unique challenges and vulnerabilities, as evidenced by the phrase “She can’t hide the way she cries alone.” The storyteller is inspired to contemplate relinquishing envy and resisting its hold on them by this admission. The idea that the storyteller is struggling with jealousy but also accepting it as a part of who they are is furthered by the bridge and the repeated “Got a cold case” in the build-up and drop parts. In the end, the song promotes inner serenity via self-examination, acceptance, and letting go of comparisons with other people. Last but not least, “COLD CASE” by REAPER with Bella Renee serves as a moving examination of envy and the internal battle to get over feelings of inferiority and comparison to others. The song’s theme of accepting oneself and emphasizing the value of letting go of jealousy in order to achieve inner peace is conveyed through striking visuals and thoughtful lyrics. Recurrent allusions to a “cold case” represent the narrator’s unresolved emotional pain, and the path towards self-acceptance and letting go of jealousy is the trip’s ultimate goal.

The Reason why I loved this song is the duo of Freaks and Geeks from the UK, while Ekko & Sidetrack from Perth, Western Australia because they made some great uplifting Drum n Bass songs to fire up the fans. The song is about working out while listening to your body to dance as the beats energized the dance floor.

This Song I Am Enough by Georgie Riot & Ellen Lynch is about 2 women expressing the song with the tune of being yourself and being enough. It describes that you can be the person who you are as you reach your milestone from the highs and lows, especially since you can have confidence to prove yourself that you can reach the stars and not make people judge you the way you do in life. The Song I Am Enough is about accepting who you truly are along with having confidence in your own abilities. It’s about realizing that you are whole in and of yourself, and that you possess all you require to live a fulfilling and joyful life.

Now we go some Dubstep Music that also connects with UKF and bring in the best classics of the early 2010s golden era of Dubstep.

This song This Feeling by Doctor P x Oliverse is interesting because it talks about how your feeling and expressing the motivation of the beats. While progressing Dubstep Music, at least the vibe has a cool type of energy.

Franky Nuts is a Dutch DJ as he makes a lot of great tracks and singles even some collaborations as well as his energy in the world of Dubstep Music. There’s a boundary in the bass scene between melodic tunes and tremendously heavy ones. But with his catchy bass music, Dutch producer Franky Nuts skillfully blurs that distinction. He really is a triple threat because his songs frequently feature amazing vocals, outstanding top line melodies, and still have a lot of energy! All I Want is about the music and giving the energy.

Doctor P is an English music producer and DJ who specializes in drum and bass and dubstep. He has contributed to numerous songs and appeared on the UKF YouTube channel for some of his songs. Getting money is all that it is about, and when you have it, the experience is often no joke. It might leave you experiencing a bloated and fearful side of distraught. Overall, I enjoyed the song’s opening and closing sections’ music, which had a bass and other instruments. The face of Benjamin Franklin’s $100 bill is seen wearing a mask in the music video.

The song “Vibe Check” by GRiZ has a relaxed upbeat mood to it, emphasizing the creation of a positive atmosphere and good vibes. The idea of checking in with one’s own and other people’s moods and vibes in order to make assured that good vibes are being spread and enjoyed is at the heart of the song.

The chorus of the song, “Good vibes all around,” acts as a motto, stressing the value of optimism and upbeat sentiments. GRiZ emphasizes the idea of delivering positive energy to every individual in its path by repeating this phrase. The song’s amusing remark in the bridge, “Yup, it’s a vibe check,” invites listeners to pause, examine their own vibe, and make sure they are projecting positivity. Vibe check, a term borrowed from modern culture where people frequently use “vibes to describe the general ambiance or energy of a situation, gives the song a more contemporary and colloquial feel.

Finally, GRiZ’s “Vibe Check” is a helpful reminder to emphasize positivity, send out positive vibes, and monitor one’s own and other people’s emotional states. The lively musical arrangement and straightforward yet powerful words of the song foster a joyful and united atmosphere that inspires listeners to adopt an optimistic outlook and spread that energy to those in their immediate vicinity. The song’s message, which emphasizes the value of adopting and sustaining a cheerful mindset in daily life, ultimately celebrates the influence of positive vibes in influencing our experiences and connections.

The reason why I choose this classic dubstep song Can’t Stop by Flux, because I first heard that song when the first Forza Horizon Game came out in 2012, which it got me the influence of developing the interest of call kinds of Electronic Music in the first place outside of Mainstream Pop Music.

The main refrain of Flux Pavilion’s song “Can’t Stop” is “Can’t stop,” which can be heard continuously throughout the whole song. Even though the lyrics themselves might appear straightforward, the repetition highlights a powerful and difficult feeling or struggle.

Here’s a potential method to comprehend what the song might be saying: The phrase “Can’t stop” is repeated, and it can be interpreted as an indication of helplessness in the face of a certain emotion, want, or circumstance. It could be interpreted as a state of being imprisoned or overtaken by an overwhelming force.

In terms of music, the protagonist’s emotional turmoil and frustration is reflected by the repetition’s sense of urgency and intensity. The expression could be interpreted as a desperate plea for assistance, a last-ditch attempt to get out of a sticky position, or an overwhelming emotion.

The interpretation is left up to individual experiences and viewpoints because there are no further lyrics or particular context provided. The meaning of the song may change according on the difficulties or problems that the listener is facing. It might be seen as a metaphor for addiction, compulsive thinking, a poisonous relationship, or any other circumstance in which a person feels helpless and unable to escape.

All things considered, Flux Pavilion’s song “I Can’t Stop” effectively conveys the difficulty and aggravation of being caught in what seems like an endless cycle. Anybody going through their own personal struggles will find the song to be a relevant and cathartic hymn due to the repeating lyrics and tremendous musical energy.

The reason I choose this song Shot in the Foot Again by Skream & Example, because I love the melody of the song which it started off as the little French Indie at dfirst and adds the bass which drops the beats with Underground UK Rap, Electronic into Dubstep and Heavy Bass.

The song “Shot Yourself In The Foot Again” by Example (ft. Skream) seems to delve into the consequences of making poor choices when it comes to relationships and personal growth. The lyrics suggest that the protagonist is experiencing the aftermath of a failed relationship and is blaming himself for the outcome.
The opening lines, “Take that bag with your clothes / And leave your keys by the door / ‘Coz she never wants to see you no more,” indicate a sense of finality and the end of a romantic connection. The main protagonist confesses that he should have exercised more diligence and overlooked “the serpent,” a person who might have had a detrimental impact on him. This suggests that he let other factors impair his judgment, which caused the relationship to collapse. The feeling that the main character is accountable for his own tragedy is strengthened by the statement “You shot yourself in the foot again,” which is emphasized. He understands that his choices and deeds are what led to his current circumstances, and he will now suffer the negative consequences of those decisions.

The refrain, “Face looks jaded / Clothes look faded,” alludes to a portrayal of the protagonist’s emotional condition in pictures. It indicates that he has reached its limit, frustrated, or perhaps lacking on worth as an individual. The song’s lyrics inspire him to keep going forward in spite of how he comes across to others or the unfavorable opinions held by others from many spheres of his life, such his social circles or previous educational experiences.
The song’s overall message is one of sorrow and self-blame for a romance gone bad. It is a warning story on the value of following one’s gut and avoiding letting other factors cause self-destruction. The main character is inspired to keep moving forward and picking up lessons from his errors despite criticism and condemnation.

The idea of introspection and contemplation in the midst of life-altering events is explored in Chase & Status’s song “Flashing Lights” (with Sub Focus & Takura).

The song’s repeated use of the phrase “Flashing right” conveys a sense of urgency and intensity, as though the protagonist is living through a pivotal moment that is passing quickly.

The voice of the protagonist considers their life and the events that have brought them to this point, and the lyrics express a sense of disbelief and inevitable fate. Even if others might not completely comprehend or believe their experiences, they understand how transitory life is and how important it is to cherish these significant moments.

Introspection and a sense of inevitable fate permeate the lyrics as the person telling the story considers their life and the circumstances that have brought them to this point. Even if others might not completely comprehend or believe their experiences, they understand how transitory life is and how important it is to cherish these significant moments.

The phrase “Even if I told you I know you won’t believe” is repeated, which emphasizes the issue of introspection and the difficulty of communicating strong feelings to other people. The song’s chorus, particularly reiterates, “It’s like I see my whole life flashing right before me,” perfectly conveys the range of strong feelings and recollections that might come flooding back during introspective moments. The metaphor “flashing lights” conveys a sense of urgency and acute awareness, as though the main character is about to face important decisions or events in their life. The electronic elements of the song enhance the theme elements of self-discovery and emotional reckoning by adding to the sensation of momentum and intensity.

Furthermore, Chase & Status’s “Flashing Lights” (with Sub Focus & Takura) explores the intensely intimate feeling of looking back on one’s life and the significant events that mold our existence. The song’s throbbing music and evocative lyrics combine to create a potent mood that speaks to themes of time passing quickly, introspection, and doubt. It challenges listeners to reflect on their own lives and the pivotal events that have shaped their path, and it exhorts them to face these experiences with bravery and sincerity.

I selected DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora’s “Hot Right Now” because it combines a pop vibe with drum and bass, and it peaked at number one in the UK. The Official Charts Company verified that “Hot Right Now” is Britain’s first drum and bass song to reach that height of popularity this level of success. The second single from the British drum and bass producer DJ Fresh’s third studio album, nextlevelism, was made available. Rita Ora, a British singer, is the primary vocalist on the tune. Additionally, it will be on Ora’s self-titled debut album. When it was made available as a digital download on iTunes on February 12, 2012 in the United Kingdom, the song immediately shot to the top of the Official Singles Chart.

DJ Fresh and Rita Ora’s song “Hot Right Now” delves into issues related to nightlife, celebrity, and the transient nature of trends. The song’s lyrics express energy and a sense of urgency about the present. The frequent appearance of the term “Hot right now” implies that the song’s subject is only drawn to certain things because they are fashionable or well-liked at the moment.

Rita Ora sings in the verses about those who think they are winning or ahead of the game when, in fact, they are only doing as they have been taught by someone else. She notes that the trend or event has already ended by the time they show there, so there is an air of irony.

The chorus highlights how ephemeral the subject’s interests are, suggesting that they are just pursuing or engaging in certain activities because they are fashionable at the moment. The exhortation to “put your hands in the air” expresses a desire to experience the thrill of the current moment.

As Rita Ora urges everyone in attendance to become hotter and raise their hands higher, the bridge accentuates the lively and exuberant vibe of the club setting. The request for a “whoa” and the repeated line “A-let me see the club get hotter” enhance the song’s festive vibe.

In entirety, “Hot Right Now” examines the attraction and transient character of trends, emphasizing the urge to partake in the present and the thrill that accompanies it in the world of popular entertainment along with a vibrant nightlife

The song Everyday by Russo (Netsky Remix) is one of most original masterpieces of Dubstep Music and Drum n Bass which it sounded perfect for both types of Bass Music that blended in the song. In the Music Video, it showed everyone having a blast at the nightclub and festivals by giving the artist themselves the extra love and support. It explains that people were amped up doesn’t matter if its a small crowded at a nightclub or a large crowd at a music festival, they loved him.
While Rusko’s song “Everyday (Netsky remix)” has a happy and inspirational message about how the sun shines every day, bringing brightness and positivity into our lives. The phrase “The sun is shining every day” keeps popping up, which emphasizes the image of constant warmth and brightness and conveys a sense of hope and optimism in the midst of challenges of its own.
The song’s lyrics might also represent life’s cyclical nature and the notion that every day is full of promise and light, regardless of the challenges or setbacks we encounter. The song’s message may serve as a reminder to maintain optimism and recognize the beauty in the little things, even in the midst of challenging times, as the sun is frequently associated with warmth, life, and energy. The line “Over the worlds it’s said, they’ve got” might allude to a general acceptance of the reality that hope and rejuvenation are universal experiences experienced by individuals from all walks of life, and that the sun shines every day.
In conclusion, Rusko’s song “Everyday (Netsky remix)” honors the resilience and brightness that permeate our existence despite hardships and unpredictable events. The concept of adaptability, hope, and the eternal ability of nature to generate warmth and vitality is conveyed in the lyrics. The song inspires listeners to embrace optimism for a better tomorrow and to find joy in the small moments by highlighting the sun’s constant presence.

The Song Promises by Nero is another great Dubstep/Drum n Bass song which the early 2010s was the golden age of Dubstep and the rise of Drum n Bass.

The lyrics of NERO’s song “Promises” discuss being in a relationship when one partner makes promises they can’t fulfill, leaving the other partner feeling let down and dissatisfied. The lyrics of the tune express being infatuated with someone while simultaneously being angry at them for making so many promises but never keeping them. The refrain continues by emphasizing the speaker’s emotions of frustration and annoyance at the promises that seem to be unfulfilled and wasted. This sense of letdown and unrealized potential is emphasized even more by the bridge. Ultimately, when one person in a relationship breaks their vows, the song expresses irritation and sadness.
