I’ve been on Long Island exploring most of nature even parts of the pandemic, I was hoping to find somewhere that people only get to do only in Upstate that Southern New York doesn’t have which is known as the waterfalls and swimming holes.
On Sunday I drove to the Coxing Preserve and it was cool. A nature walk and already saw a swimming hole and it was amazing. I took 2 jumps but it was a little too shallow which is not the great spot for jumping in the swimming hole. However, you can still go swimming which the only caution is that there’s snakes in the river. I also did some rock collecting and named it RAD.
On Tuesday, I drove to the Catskills and saw a river in Rat’s Hole in Kaaterskill Falls by Hunter Mountain and it was beautiful. I also discovered the river and I floated down which it was a thrilling ride. I went for another walk and then saw a waterfall and it was beautiful. The water was cold but I didn’t care anyway because I need some cool air while the weather was warm.
I drove for another 2 hours to Johnstown and I stopped at the Boiling Pot but the view was absolutely stunning. It was a quiet country drive while driving through Magretville to Montgomery County. I also saw a farm tractor which you only get to see it Upstate New York. When I reached to the Boiling Pot, I saw the view which it was cool. Afterwards I went go karting in Fonda which it was Checkers Out Speedway and it was totally rad and I did some drifts on the go kart because I was the only one driving round the circle. I had a blast which it was a very interesting road trip. The trip has rained parts of the way which it did had some sun showers.
On Wednesday, Christine and I went to the hiking trail with the cave and waterfall in Dover Plains. It was outstandingly amazing with the best view. The water was cold and I decided to sit down as a sitting hole since it’s not a swimming hole. It was relaxing on the other end.
