The Netherlands and the host nation France has competed for the Hockey Olympics tournament in the men Pool A Division.
When the 1st Quarter started, it started when Tjep Hoedemakers of the Netherlands was about to get the early lead for the dutch but missed the goal shot opportunity. Then Seve van Ass got the penalty corner shot but the french goalkeeper was able to save it. Then Tijmen Reyenga of the Netherlands got the goal to give the Dutch team the lead at 1-0. When the 2nd Quarter started, Jip Janssen got the penalty shot corner and give Arthur Thieffry the french goalkeeper a massive save. Then Koen Bijen did a corner shot penalty but it was missed. Then Jorrit Jan Willem Croon was caught for a foul and got a green card for the Netherlands. Afterwards, Etienne Tynevez of France had a shot on goal but a good save from Pirmin Blaak the Dutch goalkeeper. France did every shot on goal and corner penalty shots until Koen Bijen of the Netherlands got a shot on goal but quickly rebounds it for a Netherlands goal to gain the lead 2-0. Lastly before halftime, Jip Janssen got the corner penalty shot but missed it which wrapped up the first half.
By the time when it strikes to start the 3rd Quarter, Jonas de Geus got the Shot Goal to help the dutch team extend their lead 3-0. Then Duco Telgenkamp got the shot put the goalkeeper made a massive saved to avoid another Dutch lead. Meanwhile, Thierry Brinkman got the corner penalty shot but miss the scoring chance for the Netherlands. Then, French player Timothee Clement had many chances to help France get the shots on targets and corner penalty shot but some was saved by the Dutch goalie and others was missed which it wraps up the 3rd Quarter. During the highlights 4th Quarter, Etienne of France had the shot on goal which it was saved by Pirmin Blaak the dutch goalkeeper. By the time when the Netherlands got their chance with the ball, Duco Telgenkamp got the 4th goal for the Netherlands to help them gain the lead 4-0. Then Etienne Tynevez of France got caught with a foul but ended up a green card. During the last few minutes of the match, there some issues with the foul took awhile to review the play. After that, the match ended with the Netherlands 4-0 victory against France.
