The USA Women’s Rugby Team are set to play the host nation France as they hope to extend their incredible run in Olympic history. The match was played at Paris’s Stade de France which is also known as the national stadium of France, located just north of Paris in the commune of Saint-Denis.

The game began with Ilona Maher of the United States scoring an early try and Kayla Canett converting, giving the United States a 7-0 lead. Next, Team USA’s Kayla Canett was flagged for a foul and was shown the yellow card. After that, France scored their first try, thanks to Seraphine Okemba, but they were behind 7–5 after missing the conversion attempt. Following that, France scored another try through Seraphine Okemba, and the first half ended with a 10-7 lead for the French team.

When the second half of the game began while Seraphine Okemba scored a try for her hat trick, the fans erupted in celebration of the host nation. Then, France’s Caroline Drouin made a nice conversion kick, allowing them to maintain their numerical lead at 17-7. The stadium was filled with cheers as Chloe Jacquet scored the try for France, amplifying the excitement among the supporters. Caroline Drouin then added the conversion, giving them a 24-7 lead. France established themselves as the dominant team in the second half of the Rugby Sevens and have continued to play brilliantly, scoring a respectable number of points. Team USA was completely worn out, but at last Naya Tapper delivered them a try and Alena Olsen’s conversion goal was successful, keeping Team USA’s deficit over France at 24-14. Even though it was too late to catch up with the host nation France, Seraphine Okenba scored the decisive try in the final seconds of the match, and Yolaine Yengo kicked the conversion, and the host nation France won the Rugby Sevens match 31-14. The atmosphere was wild and thrills as the French Team played their best performance with a large crowd who came in to support them.
