
While The United States are looking forward for their first chance to win the semifinals or New Zealand can go for a repeat to get their hands on that Gold Medal in the Finals Match.
The Match started off with Alev Kelter of USA who ran to the end zone and scored the try and give the Team USA 5-0 after a successful scrum. Then Stacey Waaka of New Zealand ran half of the field to score a try, as the fans cheered on for the Black Ferns in the Rugby Sevens Semifinals while is the smiling assassin. After that, Risi Pouri-Lane got the conversion and it was good so they took the lead 7-5. Right before halftime, HIRINI Sarah passed it to KING Tyla, then POURI-LANE Risi as she was dropped but give the ball to Tyler King again and gives it to MILLER Jorja as she pass it to HIRINI Sarah flips the ball like volleyball as it landed to Stacey Waaka and just possibly took the try. The Referee was able to reviewed the play and there was no try because her foot was on the sideline before she placed the ball at the end zone so try was denied which KIRSHE Kristi of Team USA did a great tackle on the other hand besides the no try.






During the 2nd Half, Team USA was caught for a foul which gives New Zealand the opportunity to get a penalty as HIRINI Sarah to Tyla King and Stacey Waaka takes the end zone for the try as the Eagles couldn’t use the attack wings on the Black Ferns while New Zealand takes the lead 12-5. Then Risi Pouri-Lane passed the ball to Michaela Blyde and ran to give the Black Ferns a try while Kyla King took the 28 metre conversion kick and it was good while leading the Eagles 19-5. The Black Ferns subsequently had one final opportunity to officially get the winning try, but they had to pass the footy to each of their teammates as they ran closer to the end zone, but the Eagles managed to defend them wherever they go. They had to retreat a short distance as Sarah Hirini provided the ball to Risi Pouri-Lane, who was tackled just as she was about to pass it to Michaela Blyde. Blyde then ran the Blyde machine, scoring the winning try for New Zealand with over a minute remaining as they led 24–5. Even though it was already too late to catch up to New Zealand, The Eagles had one more opportunity to score whenever the clock reached zero. After 20 seconds of extra time had elapsed, Team USA captain Sarah Doyle passed the ball to Kristi Krishe, who swiftly turned and pursued the ball 50 yards to the end zone before sliding inside under the goal post to give her team one final chance of getting the try before the match was up. The match concludes with a successful conversion kick by Alena Olsen.









Overall, New Zealand defeated Team USA 24–12 in the semifinals, and they are now facing Canada in the gold medal match. At the same time, the United States will take on Australia in the bronze match.
The Defending champions New Zealand stormed into the Olympic women’s rugby sevens final on Tuesday when they poured on the power in the second half to secure a 24-12 victory over the United States and set up a decider against either Australia in the Bronze Medal Match.
