The United States are looking forward to get Bronze Medal for the first time in Team History while Australia was determined to get Bronze as both teams will face against each other. Luckily the amount of crowd in the stadium is wild as the host of the event would take place at Stade de France.
The 1st Half started off with when USA took the kick off and gives it to Australia. The first moment was when Charlotte Caslick gives the footy to Maddison Levi and got the try which Tia Hinds got the conversion kick which it was good while they got the early lead 7-0. Then Tegan Levi the sister of Maddison was caught for a yellow card. After that, Alena Olsen gives the ball to Ilona Maher and then Naya Tapper and lastly passed it to Kayla Canett, which she was tackled by Faith Nathan by the end zone but the ball touch out but it was on the white line. When the referee reviewed the play it was revealed that there was no try. After that, Team USA has tried Again and this time it was Tia Hinds after the scrum and gives it to Alev Kelter which she was able to get through Australia to get the first Try of the Match, which she was able to get the conversion kick and it was good which Team USA has tied the game 7-7 into halftime.
As soon as the 2nd Half started when both USA and Australia took Over control of the ball and it some scrimmages. Australia took most of the control until Paki was about to get a try but couldn’t get the ball in time. Then Team USA did a huge shove and they received the ball back to them. Somehow the Aussie Mascot was sitting on the sideline of the field, and Team USA went back and try again with the throw in play. Doyle of Team somehow dropped the ball which it was given to Australia’s Ball. Then Australia had some great passes to each teammate and ran for one half of the field until the scrum for the effort which the team had a quick timeout and some substitutes to switch on and off for less than 2 minutes left. When Australia won the scrum, Smale passed the ball to Tegan Levi and took a quick tap to Maddison Levi and got the possible chance of the wining try for Australia which they got the lead 12-7. This could be the most crucial moment for Australia and Levi sisters for the quick thinking play and had combine with the advantage to stay in the lead. After that moment, Maddison Levi had 14 tries in her Paris Olympic Career. With 28 seconds left on the clock, Team USA had one more chance to get the tie the game for win it all.
After the USA scrum, the play started off with Ramsey passed it to Ilona Maher which they wanted to a converted try in order to win this Bronze Medal Match. While Pass it back to Ramsey and give to Alex Sedrick and ran all the way to the endzone to tie the game with a converted try as soon as the clock reached to zero seconds left. Team USA had a huge thrill of the possible win to get the biggest upset to Australia but Sammy Sullivan asked her teammates to hold on with the celebration by waiting for the Conversion kick in order win the Bronze Medal Match. Alex Sedrick’s Conversion kick was good which means Team USA has won the Bronze Medal Match. The Americans were so thrilled for the win and it was the first time that Team USA earned themselves a medal in Team History of the Olympic Games Record of the Rugby Sevens Tournament.
The history was also 100 Years ago when the Men’s USA Rugby Team won Gold Medal against the Host Nation France at the Paris Olympics of 1924 and now the women got bronze medal which they felt deserved to be champions.
