The 1st Period started off when Matei Lutescu of Romania scored the early goal to give them the lead 1-0. Next, Matei Lutescu did something cheeky which he was caught for Centre forward position exclusion. Then, Johnny Hooper scored the Extra Player Shot and put team USA on the board to tied the game at 1-1. Meanwhile, Silvian Colodrovschi of Romania scored the Centre Shot Goal to give Romania back the lead 2-1. After that, Alex Obert got the Extra Player Shot Goal to go back to square one while its back at 2-2. Then, Sebastian Stefan Oltean got the action shot but it was however blocked. Meanwhile, Vlad-Luca Georgescu took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation which it was missed. Meanwhile, Silvan Colodrovschi of Romania took the action goal which gives them back at the lead 3-2. It didn’t last when Johnny Hooper took the action Shot to give Team USA back leveled at 3-3. Eventually, Ben Hillock was going to take the goal but the Centre Shot was blocked. Dylan Woodhead of Team USA also did the Extra Player Shot which it was saved by the Romanian Goalkeeper. After that, Matei Lutescu of Romania took the Action Shot and it was saved to wrap up the 1st Period.
The 2nd Period started off when Hannes Daube as he took the Extra Player Shot for the Goal and it was the first time that Team USA has taken the lead of the match 4-3. Eventually, Team USA had some team turnovers but it never came with every moment. Then Tudor-Andrei Fulea took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation which it was Saved by the USA Goalkeeper. Subsequently, Johnny Hooper took the Extra Player Shot but it was saved by the Romanian Goalkeeper, which Johnny Hooper was later caught for Field Excursion. Thereafter, Sebastian Stefan Oltean took the Action Shot which it was saved. Ultimately, Andrei Tepelus was caught for a penalty foul, which gives Team USA the opportunity to get the penalty shot and Ryder Dodd scored the Penalty Shot to give Team USA the lead at 5-3. Falling that, Max Irving took the Counter Attack Goal as they lead Romania 6-3. In the meantime, Tudor-Andrei Fulea of Romania took the 6 metre direct shot in a free throw scenario that was saved. Once, Luca Cupido took the Action Shot, it was somehow saved but couldn’t get into Romania’s way. Immediately after that, Romania has been called with couple of unnecessary fouls. Shortly after the commotion of Romania, Alex Bowen took 2 Action Shots which the first one was when it hit the post and the second one was saved by the Romanian Goalkeeper. Lastly, Alex Bowen took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation as it was sadly hit the Post which he wasn’t able to get the goal before the buzzer went on for Halftime. The United States had continued to take a conformational lead 6-3.
3rd Hannes Daube of the United States has scored the penalty shot goal and give the USA 7-3 lead. Then Andrei Prioteasa had a turnover foul which Ryder Dodd of the USA made a great steal. Then Max Irving scored the Centre Shot Goal for the USA 8-3. The team are keeping their sensational performance going. The players worked on passing the ball to each other and Ben Hallock got the extra player shot goal to gain the lead for the USA 9-3. Then Andrei Neamtu tried to get a goal for Romania but it was blocked from Drew Holland the USA Goalkeeper. Romania had other ways for help when Vlad-Luca Georgescu scored the goal 9-4. Meanwhile, Max Irving was going to get another goal for the USA but it was missed and the ball went above the net. When Romania was caught for a quick foul Hannes Daube scored a goal at the 6 metre direct shot in the free throw situation to help the USA stay in the lead 10-4.
When the 4th Quarter started when the USA was about to get a goal until Matei Lutescu was caught for a serious foul and got a red card with substitution. Then Chase William Dodd got the extra player shot and scored a massive throw to help USA trail the lead 11-4. Then Silvian Colodrovschi scored the extra player shot goal while still down 11-5. After that, Alex Bowen scored the action shot while he quickly held the ball and aimed right at the net to play their confident side 12-5. After a Romanian timeout, Andrei Neamtu scored the goal for Romania 12-6, which Vlad-Luca Georges scored the counter attack Foal to creep in the close comeback at 12-7. Max Irving was about to get a goal but a great save from the Romainan Goalkeeper. Then Sebastian Stefan Oltean and Levente Vancsik each had a chance to get a goal but it was saved by Holland and did a great job blocking the ball to prevent it from getting in the net. After when USA took the timeout, Ben Hallock was about to score the goal but hit the post. It didn’t last when Vlad-Luca Georgescu scored the goal to get closer at 12-8. Alex Bowen of the USA has scored the action goal which they had enough breathing room just to avoid a tight ending which it would be a shocker for a collapse. Not for long when Alex Bowen rebound the ball and pass it to and pass it back to Bowen and gets to score his favorite action shot move is the quick freeze and aimed directly in the net like the avengers. The Americans were pleased to keep the game alive.
The United States Men’s Water Polo has won their first victory 14-8 in the Men’s Preliminary Round Match of Group A which they will play against Greece on Thursday as the other matches like Montenegro on Saturday and Croatia on Monday to wrap up the Preliminary Round before the playoffs.
