
Team USA is looking forward to get another repeat to get Gold since the London Olympics in 2012 as they will face against Hungary. The Match will take place at Paris La Defense Arena in Paris, France.
The 1st Quarter started off with Krisztina Garda of Hungary took the Action charge Shot and it was saved by the American Defense. After a few turnovers from Team USA, Rebecca Parkes of Hungary took the Action Shot and it was Saved by Ashleigh Johnson the American Goalkeeper. While Kaleigh Gilchrist took her Power Shot, it was hit by the Post, even when the Capitan Rita Keszthelvi of Hungary took the 6 metre direct shot in the free throw situation and it was knocked by the Post as Team USA swam back to the offense side and Kaleigh Gilchrist took her Action Shot again, it was saved by Alda Magvari the Hungarian Goalkeeper. After that, Krisztina Garda took the Power Shot Goal and the deadlock is broken as Hungary opened up the scoreboard 1-0. Then Maggie Steffens of Team USA leveled up the match 1-1. Quickly afterwards, Dora Leimeter of Hungary took the Centre Shot Goal as they lead 2-1. Jovana Sekulic of Team USA took the Extra Player Shot and it was blocked by the Hungarian Defense and Krisztina Garda of Hungary took the Action Shot and it was saved as it wraps up the first Quarter.

The 2nd Quarter started with Maddie Musselman of Team USA got the Extra Shot and it was saved by The Hungarian Goalkeeper. Krisztina Garda of Hungary took the 6 metre direct shot in the free throw situation and it was saved by Team USA. Then, Greta Kurucz-Gurisatti took the Action Shot for Hungary as the was saved which she failed to get the scoring opportunity. Team USA has worked on passing the ball as Tara Prentice took the Extra Player Shot and tied the game 2 apiece. Quickly after that goal, Rebecca Parkes took the Centre Shot and it was saved from the help of Team USA. Kaleigh Gilchrist of Team USA took the Powerful Shot but somehow it ended up hitting the Post. Just before Halftime, Jewel Romer of Team USA took the Terrific Shot and scored the lead back 3-2, which Adam Krikorian the Team USA Head Coach was caught for a Yellow Card. While Brigitta Horvath of Hungary was called for Centre forward position exclusion, Maddie Musselman took one long throw to extend the lead which it ended up hitting the Post and was up by Halftime while Team USA as taken the lead for the first time of the Match.

The 3rd Quarter started off with Kristina Garda took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by the American Defense. After that Rita Keszthelyi of Hungary took the Counter Attack and scored the goal to tied the match at 3 apiece. After that, Geraldine Mahieu was caught for drowning Ryann Neushul as she was sent off with a Red Card for a serious foul and will be out for the rest of the match. Then, Maggie Steffens took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal to take back the lead with 4-3. Attila Mihok the Head Coach of Hungary was caught for complaining to the referee and got the yellow card. After that, Kamila Farago took the Extra Player Shot Goal for Hungary as they tied it at 4-4. Then Kristina Garda took the Shot on Target which it was saved by Ashleigh Johnson the American Goalkeeper. Then Jovana Sekulic of Team USA took the Centre Shot and it was saved. Rita Keszthelvi took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation and it ended up hitting the Post. Jordan Raney of Team USA took the Action Shot as she charged up the power which it was blocked by The Hungarian Defense.

During the last Quarter, Both USA and Hungary have toughened their defense which made the match extremely difficult to score goals, which it started with Jenna Flynn with the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by Alda Magyari the Hungarian Goalkeeper, as she quickly rebound the ball, Rachel Fatal took the Action Shot and it was saved. After that, Vanda Valvi of Hungary was caught for a Centre forward position exclusion and got the Red Card which she is out for the rest of the Match. While Rita Keszthelyi took the Action Shot, it was hit by the Post and couldn’t conclude the moment. Then Jordan Raney Rebound the ball and passed it to her teammates and the passed it to Ryann Neushul with the Action Shot and hit the post. Kristina Garda and Kamilla Farago were each called for Field Exclusion, Team USA practiced on passing the ball and Rachel Fatal got the Extra Player Shot Goal as they take the lead 5-4 which could be the winning Goal. When Kristina Rybanska took the Shot for Goal and hits the Post while Ashleigh Johnson was surprised out of nowhere which it would’ve tied the game. After the Hungarian Team was called for Turnover Foul, The Assistant Coach of Team Hungary was sent off for yelling at the Referee and got the Red Card. Lastly, Kamilla Farago and her teammates passed the ball like a triangle for a slice of pizza and give the ball back to Farago and she was about the take the Action Shot to tied up the game and it was missed on the right side of the Post. The United States won 5-4 which is the lowest scoring Victory Match in Team History.


This was the lowest scoring match for a Victory since they took Bronze in the Athens Olympics in 2004 match 6-5 against Australia and won the Semifinals 6-5 against the Netherlands in the Sydney Olympics in 2000, which they were close to the lowest scoring match that lost the Gold Match 4-3 against Australia. The United States will now play against the Aussie Stingers on Thursday as they won the Quarterfinals which they’ll move on to the Semifinals.
