It started when Emma Ruiz Barril did the 6 metre direct shot in free throw and it was blocked by the Dutch Defense. After a quick reboubd from Anni Espar Laquet of Spain, she then quickly took the Centre Shot Goal and score the opening goal for Spain 1-0. Brigitte Sleeking took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by Spain which Like Rogge of the Netherlands took the Action Shot but it was Blocked. Emma Ruiz Barril did the 6 metre direct shot in free throw and it was this time a Goal to advances the lead 2-0. Paula Leiton Arrones of Spain took the Centre Shot Goal and lead 3-0. After that, Like Rogge took the Extra Player Shot and opened their Goal for the Dutchr3-1. Then, Judith Forca Aliza took the Extra Player Shot and scored another goal for the Spaniards 4-1. After Anni Espar Llaquet took the with steal, she then passed the ball to Bea Ortiz took the Counter Attack Goal as they advantage the lead 5-1. While Sabrina van der Sloot of the Netherlands took the Action Shot and the ball ended up hitting the post off the crossbar. Judith Forca Ariza took the Extra Player Shot Goal and had the advances lead 6-1.

The 2nd Period began with The Netherlands and Spain getting a few exclusions and steal until Maica Garcia Godoy of Spain took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by Martina Terre the Spanish Goalkeeper. After that, Bente Rogge of the Netherlands took the Action Shot with a Powerful play and scored the Goal for the Dutch Team while still down 6-2. Anni Espar Llaguet took the Action Shot but it was blocked by the Dutch Defense. Then Pili Pena of Spain took the rebound as she passed to Bea Ortiz while she took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation and it was Blocked by the Dutch Goalkeeper. Simone van de Kraats took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved by Spain as she quickly gains the ball to do a redirect shot and scored the Goal for the Dutch 6-3. After that, Anni Espar Laquet took the Action Shot for Spain which it was saved by The Dutch so she passed it to Elena Ruiz Barril the ball and took the Action Shot Goal as she got the Hattrick while Spain resumed the lead 7-3. Kittylynn Joustra of the Netherlands passed the ball to her teammates and give her the ball back as she scored the Goal for the Dutch Team 7-4. Then Judith Forca Ariza took the Action Shot and it was Saved by Sarah Buis the Dutch Goalkeeper. Judith Forca Ariza took the Action Shot Goal as she got the Hattrick as they lead the goal by half with 8-4. While Elena Ruiz Barril of Spain took the Extra Player Shot, she had help from her teammates and scored the Goal 9-4. Anni Espar Llaquet of Spain was called for Centre Forward position exclusion so Simone van de Kratts scored the Powerful Shot to score the Dutch 9-5. While Bente Rogge of the Netherlands was called for Centre forward position exclusion, Paula Arrones Leition of Spain scored the Buzzer Beater Goal just in time before Halftime leading by half again with 10-5.

The 3nd Period started off with Simone van de Kratts of the Netherlands who took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal 10-7. Then Paula Camus of Spain took the Action Shot and it the Post. Then Vivian Sevenich of the Netherlands took the powerful Goal as the Dutch fans extended their excitement. Bente Rogge passed the ball to Vivian Sevenich, Sabrina van der Sloot and give it back to Vivian Sevenich as she took the Power Goal to have the greatest comeback. Then Bea Ortiz took the Action Shot for Spain and hit the Post. After that, Nina Ten Broek took the Action Shot and took the top throw and scored the goal for the Netherlands 10-9. The Dutch Players and Fans has continued to rise the energy as they get closer to get the win. Then Elena Ruiz Barril passed it to Judith Forca Ariza took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal 11-9. Elena Ruiz Barril of Spain took the Action Shot but was missed out of Bounds, she was later caught for Penalty Foul and give Simone van de Kraats of the Netherlands take the Penalty Shot and it ended up hitting the Post off the crossbar whciob it was so close for the Goal. After that, Simone van de Kraats of the Netherlands passed the ball to Kittylynn Joustra, Brigitte Sleeking and Bente Rogge which gives the ball back to Simone van de Kraats and took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal for the Dutch Team as they get one goal closer to tie it with the result 11-10. Then, Nina Ten Broek took the Action Shot Goal was an amazing goal by the post and they leveled it at 11-11.

The Last Period started with both teams getting some fouls and chances of getting the winning goal but couldn’t capitalize the moment. Then Anni Espar Llaquet of Spain took the Action Shot but was Missed and then she was caught for contacting one of the Dutch Players as it was called for Field Exclusion and got the Red Card. After that, The Dutch Team passed the ball to ball to each other for quick pass and Like Rogge took the quick shot Goal and this was the first time that The Dutch Team has taken the Lead 12-11. Then, Judith Forca Ariza of Spain took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal to tied the game 12-12. After that, the referee took a review play that for a possible Contact but the Goal would stand for the same results. Then Paula Camus of Spain was called Centre forward position exclusion and got the Red Card. Kittylynn Joustna of the Netherlands took the Power Goal and give the Dutch the lead back at 13-12. Then Judith Forca Ariza of Spain took the Extra Player Shot but it was hit off the crossbar as Bea Ortiz rebound the ball and Elena Ruiz Barril took the Action Shot and scored the tied goal back at 13-13. Then Paula Crespi Barriga took the Action Shot as the Dutch Defense blocked the ball. Then Laura Aarts the Goalkeeper of the Netherlands rebound the ball and give it to Like Rogge took the Action Shot and hit the water and then it hit the Post. Then Paula Crespi Barriga waited for Maica Garcia Godoy took the Centre Shot Goal as Spain got the lead back at 14-13. After the Dutch takes the timeout, Brigitte Sleeking took the Centre Shot and faked out the Goalkeeper and scored the tying goal at 14-14 with 7 seconds left on the Clock. The match ended with a draw as they move on to Penalty Shootout

Laura Aarts and Sarah Buis of the Netherlands trade position for Goalie. Sabrina van der Sloot took the Penalty Shot and it was good as the Dutch lead 1-0. Then Bea Ortiz of Spain took the Penalty Shot and it was good as Spain tied it up 1-1. After that Lieke Rogge of the Netherlands took the Penalty Shot and it was good back at the lead 2-1. Laura Aarts the Dutch Goalkeeper traded her spot back as Sarah Buis went out of the Pool. Elena Ruiz Barril took the Penalty Shot and the Goal was stand good for 2-2. Simone van de Kraats of the Netherlands took the Penalty Shot and it bounced to the water and landed onto the net as the Dutch Team lead 3-2. Then Judith Forca Araiza took the Penalty Shot and the Goal stands as the result remains level 3-3 for a perfect start. After that, Laura Ester Ramos traded in for the Goalkeeper for Spain to possibly take the win, as Maartie Keuning took the Penalty Shot and the Goal was when the bounced on the water and landed to the net with the Dutch taking the lead 4-3. Paula Crespi Barriga of Spain took the Penalty Shot and it was good as they tied 4-4. Then Martina Terre of Spain traded the Goalkeeper position back to try to help Spain win the shootout as Brigitte Sleeking of the Netherlands took the Penalty Shot and it was saved as Martina took her excitement which might be the winning moment for Spain. Lastly Maica Garcia Godoy took the Penalty Shot and scored the winning Goal 5-4 for the perfect performance on shootouts for Spain.

Spain has won the Semifinals Match 19-18 (5-4) PSO. The Netherlands were so close to making it the Greatest Comeback as they will play for Bronze either Australia or Team USA. Spain will play against the Aussie Stingers or Team USA in the Gold Medal Match. This is Spain’s first trip to the Gold Medal Match since the London Olympics in 2012 and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games in 2021 when they took Silver against Team USA.
