The United States will play against Serbia in the Semifinals Match as they will get a medal for the first time since 2008. Team USA is determined to get Gold for the first time in Team History which would be a Great to Goal for the Men’s Water Polo Team since The 1904 St. Louis Olympics as the New York Athletic Club took Gold, Chicago Athletic Club took Silver and Missouri Athletic Club took Bronze which they never officially take Gold in the International tournament of the Olympics. This could be the moment since the Women’s Team had their glory moments of getting Gold. The match will take place at Paris La Defense Arena in Paris, France.
The match began with Max Irving as they won the Sprint possession and Nemanja Ubovic of Serbia was called for Turnover Foul and Adrian Weinberg was able to steal the ball. Marko Vavic of Team USA passed the Ball to Hannes Daube, to Max Irving, to Alex Bowen and Marko Vavic took the Extra Player Shot and it was a Terrific play to open up the lead as Team USA started at 1-0. Then Nemanja Vico of Serbia and took the Action Shot and it was saved by Weinberg for Team USA. Nikola Jaksic took the Power Shot and tied the Game for Serbia 1-1. After that, Sava Randelovic of Serbia was called for Field Exclusion which then Ryder Dodd passed it to Marko Vavic, Max Irving and Chase William Dodd give it back to Ryder Dodd scored the scoring machine as the ball was stuck on the net while getting the lead at 2-1 which he was 18 years old as he will play at UCLA with his brother Chase William. Save Randelovic took the Action Shot Goal as they take tied the game at 2-2. Dusan Mandic of Serbia took the 6 metre direct shot as the ball was saved by Weinberg as Team USA worked together to block the ball before Weinberg was able to block it.. Before the end of the 1st Period, Alex Bowen took the Action Shot and it was saved by Serbia with the game tied at 2-2.
The 2nd Period began with Chase Willam Dodd who took the Action Shot and it was saved by the Radoslav Flipovic the Serbian Goalkeeper with his one hand. Then, Hannes Daube of Team USA took the Extra Player Shot which it was missed out of bounds as he took the Shot again which this time it was hit by the Post. Milos Cuk of Serbia took the Action Shot and Weinberg made a Great Saved. Dylan Woodhead and Max Irving passed the ball to Chase William Dodd and Player Shot and it was saved. Then Peter Jaksic scored the goal for Serbia as they lead 3-2. Then his brother Nikola Jaskic took the fire Goal as they resumed the lead 4-2. Luca Cupido of USA took the Action Power Shot and scored the Goal as he stayed patience to throw the ball while still down 4-3. Then Seriba was going to check the ball to see if it went over the line which Max Irving was called for Field Exclusion as the referee review the ball to see if it counts for a goal and VAR reviewed the play which the Goal thanks too Nikola Sedovic will stand 5-3. Then Ryder passed the ball Ben Hallock and scored the quick thinking Goal for Team USA 5-4. Marko Vavic of Team USA took the Extra Player Shot and it was blocked which Nikola Dedovic of Serbia scored the Action Shot Goal as they lead 6-4. Before Halftime, Luca Cupido took the Action Shot to get the buzzer breater Goal which it was saved by Filipovic of Serbia.
The 3rd Period began with Strahinja Rasovic took the win in sprint possession. Then Nikola Dedovic took the Hattrick as he scored for Serbia 7-4. Then Alex Bowen passed the ball to Hannes Daube and Ryder Dodd give it to Marko Vavic and got the Extra Player Shot to score for USA 7-5. After that, Nemanja Vico of Serbia scored the Action Goal 8-5 as he passed the USA Defense. Max Irving passed the ball to Dodd and gives it to Alex Bowen and scored the ball for The United States 8-6. Team Serbia took 2 times of the 6 metre direct shots which ended with a Weinberg saved of Team USA. Then Alex Bowen took the Extra Player Shot and it was saved, which then Ryder Dodd took the Action Shot and ended up hitting the Post. Team USA took the quick pass and Luca Cupido took the Extra Player Shot but it was too high as he missed the direct target. Ryder Dodd quickly took the Action Shot which it was saved. As Nemanja Vico of Serbia took the Action Shot and Weinberg saved the ball while quickly took the long range Goal for the buzzer beat which it was saved as it wrapped up the 3rd Period.
The last Period began with Hannes Daube took the Action Shot for Team USA which ti was blocked by Serbia. Then Nikola Dedovic took the quick bounce ball tapping it and scored the goal for Serbia 9-6 and the Head Coach was called for Yellow Card. Then Alex Bowen took the Action Shot which it was blocked out of bounds. After that, Petar Jaksic of Serbia was called for Centre forward position exclusion and got the red card. Then Alex Bowen took another Shot on Target which it was saved. Ryder Dodd took another Action Shot which it was saved by Team USA. After that, Nikola Jaksic of Serbia took the Extra Player Shot for Goal as they extend their lead 10-6. Ben Hallock took the quick shot but it was an unfortunate moment as the ball failed to go over the goal line. Hannes Daube took the Extra Player Shot with the ball bounced into the ball as it went out of bounce. Then Ryder Dodd was called for Field exclusion and got the Red Card. The Match wrapped up with Max Irving took one last Action Shot and it was saved by the Goalie and USA will sadly not go to the Gold medal match as the lost 10-6 which it wouldve been close. Serbia was one of the best teams in the World in the Men’s Water Polo Team.
The United States took everything they can to get closer to Serbia but couldn’t conclude the moment. So the good news that the Men’s Team can still take Bronze on Sunday as they will play against Croatia or Hungary.
