Team USA are determined to get themselves a medal for the first time since 2008 when they finished with Silver. This Tournament will take place at Paris La Defense Arena. The Men’s Water Polo Team worked so hard to get a medal but was defeated in a heartbreak lost against Serbia has taken their 3rd Straight Gold Medal Match and takes Gold. The Americans refused to give up which they would have to win against Hungary in the 3rd Medal Match.

The match began with Team USA taking the Action with the ball as Alex Bowen and Chase William Dodd each passed the ball to Johnny Hooper took the Extra Player Shot and scored the early Goal to give the US a 1-0 lead. Then Gergo Zalanki of Hungary scored the Extra Player Shot Goal as the results remained level at 1 apiece. After that, Max Irving passed the ball to Alex Bowen and gives it to Chase William Dodd as he took the shot but hit the post but quickly rebound the ball and scored for USA to get the lead back with 2-1. Then Max Irving took the Shot in driving situation and it was saved the Hungarian Goalkeeper. Denes Varga of Hungary took the Shot and tied the game at 2 apiece. Before the end of the 1st Period, Ben Hallock scored the Goal as the buzzer was about to alarm to wrap up the is Period as they take the lead 3-2.

The 2nd Period began with Alex Bowen taking the Shot on Goal which it was blocked. Then Gergo Zalanki of Hungary took the Shot but Adrian Weinberg was able to save it. After that. Marton Vamos of Hungary took the shot which it was saved by Weinberg the American Goalkeeper as he managed to get the ball away from the net. Johnny Hooper of Team USA took his Action Shot but missed it out of bounds. Then Hannes Daube took the Extra Player Shot but ended it up hitting the crossbar. After that, Luca Cupido took the terrific shot and scored the Goal for Team USA as they lead doubled 4-2. Meanwhile, Johnny Hooper took the Shot but it was blocked by the Hungarian Defense. Then Krisztian Manhercz took the Action Shot and scored the Goal for Hungary as the put themselves on the board 4-3. Then Max Irving took the Shot but it was blocked which both teams did every moment of shots on target but it was either blocked, saved or hit the crossbar. There was also a moment when Denes Varga of Hungary took the Penalty Shot which Adrian Weinberg managed to save the ball. Soma Vogel the Hungarian Goalkeeper was able to block the ball to avoid Team USA resuming their lead which ended it to Halftime.

During the 3rd Period, it began with Denes Varga of Hungary as he took the Extra Player Shot Goal to level it up 4-4. After that, Max Irving took the Shot on Goal but missed the target. Then 2 Hungarian Players each took the shot but it was saved by Weinberg. Dylan Woodhead of Team USA got called for Counter attacking situation exclusion which he was called out for Red card with substation. Vince Pal Vigvari took the Extra Player Shot and scored the Goal to get themselves the lead 5-4. Then Ben Hallock took the Centre Shot and Scored the Goal back as Team USA took the tying moment 5-5. Marton Vamos of Hungary took the 6 metre direct shot in free throw situation which it was missed. Max Irving of Team USA took the Action Shot Goal as the ball bounce into the net as they took the lead back at 6-5. Marton Vamos of Hungary was called for Counter Attacking situation exclusion and got himself a Red Card with substitution. Then Szilard Jansik of Team USA took the Action Shot and it was saved by Adrian Weinberg.

The 4th Period began with Adam Nagy of Hungary who took the Action Shot Goal with the result of 6-6. Then Chase William Dodd took the Action Shot which it was saved by Soma Vogel the Hungarian Goalkeeper. Then Alex Bowen took the Extra Player Shot and ended up hitting the Post. Then Luca Cupido and Ben Hallock of Team USA each took the Shot on Goal which it was saved by Hungary. Gergo Zalanki of Hungary took the Extra Player Shot and give them back at the lead with 7-6. After that, Daniel Angyal took the Extra Player Shot Goal leading the USA 8-6. After a Team USA timeout, Gergo Janos of Fekete of Hungary was called for Centre forward position exclusion and got himself a Red Card with substitution. Alex Bowen of Team USA took the Extra Player Shot Goal with less than 3 minutes left on the clock which Vogel wasn’t able to save the ball as it went over the goal line. As the game became a close exciting moment, Hannes Daube of Team USA took an amazing Goal to energized the fans and the players on the bench with Drew Holland being pumped up the most with 2 minutes left while they tied it at 8-8. During the final 5 seconds left of Regulation Time, Denes Varga of Hungary took the Shot in driving situation to get the winning goal but it was missed out of bounds, then Team US took one more chance, as Luca Cupido took the long range Action Shot but it was saved by Vogel as the clocked ended regulation time with the draw of 8-8 which both teams will end up go to Penalty Shootouts.

During Penalty Shootouts, Adrian Weinberg is the Goalie for Team USA while Soma Vogel is the Goalie for Team Hungary while get ready to protect one side to avoid the goals. It started with Hannes Daube of Team USA and scored his goal on the right side to get the USA on the board 1-0 in shootouts. When Denes Varge of Hungary took the Penalty Shot, he ended up hitting the top of the crossbar and he was furious with himself that it didn’t go in. Max Irving of Team USA took the Penalty Shot and got the Goal after the ball it the crossbar as it somehow went in. Then Vince Pal Viavari of Hungary took the Penalty Shot and Adrian Weinberg was able to block the ball with his left hand and the Americans cheered for him because he managed to block the shot. Alex Bowen of Team USA took an easy Penalty Shot for Goal on the right side as the fans and players gather the excitement because their one step closer to get a Bronze Medal. Lastly, Gergo Zalanki of Hungary took the Penalty Shot and ended up hitting the left Post and Team USA has officially got themselves a Bronze Medal as the fans and players around excitedly been proud of the effort as it felt like a Champion which they accomplish a moment to earn themselves a Medal for the first time since 2008.

The Players jumped into the Pool and did a celebration while hugging each of their own players for the great effort of teamwork. The match overall finished with a prevailed USA 11-8 (3-0) POS. It was also the first time that they got Bronze in 100 years at the Paris Olympics.
