My Experience at the Bel-Air Diner was amazing because last year I watched Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Show and I was like “I would love to go this place in Astoria someday if I have the free time.” So in the beautiful warm weather of April, I drove to the Bel-Aire Diner because I would love to try their delicious food. I met some of the great employees who worked at the place and one of them mentioned that Gordon Ramsey sat in one of the booths by the window and I was amazed how lucky I was able to sit by the window. I started off with a cup of coffee and had their specialty menu like no other diner would be that creative. So I had the BBQ Ranch Onion Rings with Panko Crusted Onion Rings, BBQ, Ranch, Cheese, and Scallions. I didn’t thought that the onion rings would be that creatively special and it was outstandingly delicious. While I was waiting for my main dish, I looked out the window to read the license plates of cars from the dealer or DMV of the specific locations, while I saw some interesting cars from out of state drive into the city. When my main dish came, I had my custom Tex Mex Breakfast Quesadilla with scrambled Eggs, chicken, and Cheddar Cheese with the side of Guacamole, sour cream and French Fries which it was delicious. Lastly I went for a walk around the place and I saw some classic car themed in the restaurant and it was amazing because I loved having cars as a restaurant theme which it brought me into one of my interests. The people were great and the food was outstanding so I would happily come back the next time when I feel like going to Astoria Queens.

When Gordon Ramsay came to this restaurant, he was able to save the best diner into a huge makeover for a major turnaround. This also helped the family who owned the restaurant to get the time to let them work and live the life outside of work. The business has been doing well since he was able to help them find a new strategy to keep their diner open and it improves the quality of food to make it taste outstandingly good.

The History of Bel-Air Diner all started back in 1965. Bel Aire Diner has been nestled in the heart of Astoria since 1965. Our 24/7/365 establishment has been a constant fixture in the community for years. Our menu features a selection of dishes, all made in-house by our team of talented chefs. The Diner had amazing achievements and awards for best diner in the area. When the Pandemic took over, they came out with a great idea of running a drive in theater to bring in their customers to watch a movie and order food while watching the movie. It was a great strategy to keep themselves in business. The Diner will last for generations to bring up interesting stories about the diner and their creative food choices on the menu to make it so creative which most diners wouldn’t thought of doing.
